Unsatisfied by the result of the coin toss, Roger paced around the room listing the pros and cons of staying in the revolution.
"Well, if you stayed in the rebellion, you could fight for your freedom," he said to himself, " you could also get tougher, get your ass kicked, get killed, and write a best-selling novel about it called 'Help a human that can turn into a freaking oversized housecat is chewing on my head!'."
Roger thought it sounded like it could be hit. But nevertheless, he had decided that the experience would not be too pleasant. Roger had to get out of there. Screw the rebellion, he'd much rather live his whole life labeled as a coward than die. He begun to pack up his stuff, and was prepared to steal a few things from the base to help him get by.

A.J. and I left Jayden to fight hunter. We kept running towards their base."Where could the others be?" I wondered. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw a spotted pelt charge. Adrian! I shifted my head and tackled her. We rolled aroound , trying to bite the other. She clawed me a couple times but they weren't that bad.

Not far away, A.J. was avoiding the fangs of Calla.

Finally, I got Adrian. I had bit her, not too hard, on her hind leg, but just deep enough to make it sting badly.

Jayden

I'm running. It's a field somewhere, and Elsa's flying above me. It's the stereotypical idea of a summer day - warm, crisp, clear-skied.

But something's wrong.

I'm in a forest now, Elsa disappearing. A cheetah circles me as I come to stop. It growls, then pounces. I have no time to prepare, no time to react. It's teeth and claws sink into my flesh as I am human again and cry out.

The summer day turns wintery, ominous storm clouds making way, and the cheetah is gone, only my pain left. My face is pale, my eyes no longer gold but a dark color they used to be before my transformation, and a puddle of blood surrounds me. My blood. Snow delicately begins to cover me, chilling me from the inside out, and I can't breathe.

Panic.

What if I'm left here? What if no one finds me? What if I don't wake up? What if I don't see Elsa again? What if...this is it?

No. I can't afford to think that way.

But...What if it's true?

I hear the flap of wings and the fear of Elsa seeing me like this constricts me. I try to move, but can't. Something -

My eyes open, the pain from the dream ever present. I weakly glance down at myself, blood dripping from my chin as I do, and remember everything. But there is now moss over my wounds, as if someone helped me...

I glance around, still finding myself in the forest, and draw in a shaky breath to try and call out.

"Help."

It comes out barely louder than a whisper as my eyes shut once more.

Spoiler
The first part is a dream.
I'm never what I like
I'm double sided
And I just can't hide
I kind of like it
When I make you cry
'Cause I'm twisted up, twisted up

Rayah-Not sure what side she's really on. Lol

I ran through the forest, my feet clawed at the grass. I saw someone laying in the grass and I shapeshifted back to a human. It was Jayden.

Should I help him? Should I do anything? But I'm suppost to be fighting him...

I decided so and brought him by a tree where I ripped off my long sleeve and wrapped it around his arm. I got some water and threw it over his side, waiting for it to heal.

Adrian and I kept fighting. She pinned me to the ground and leered at me,"What are you going to do about it, huh?" "This". I said as I shifted my legs into a shark tail and smacked her. I could see the surprise on her face as she hit a tree. I walked over but Adrian was out cold.

A.J. was still fighting but I knew she could take Calla. I ran off in the pursuit of Roger's scent. He was leaving the base. I wasn't sure what he was doing, so I hid and watched his antics.

Roger emerged from the evil animal shifter's base with a backpack full of stolen money and stuff that he figured would be worth a lot of money. Luckily, nobody else seemed to notice him. As he began to walk away from the place, a nagging voice in his head would not stop bugging him.
"Well, so far so god." It said. "You've got quite a bit of money on you, you managed to get out of there without anybody stopping you. But what would you do when you finally get back to the city?"
That stopped Roger dead in his tracks. He was a bit too young to live on his own, and a teenager trying to rent an apartment would only raised suspicions. He sat down and considered what to do next.

Roger had a large backpack full of what I couldn't guess. He sat down as if struggling with something. I walked up to him. " Roger". I said. He looked up startled, and was slowly backing away. " Roger, what are you doing? You rebelled against us, are you now rebelling against the rebels?" I asked, I didn't give him time to respond. " Listen, I have a propostion for you. The Shifters under me will not harm you, if you spy for us. If I am guessing correctly you are running because you are one of the smallest Shifters and your whole body could fit into my mouth as a shark. So, what do you say?"

i gave Roger some time. I knew he would want to think it over, so I waited.

Laiel - good

Hidden, Laiel watched Diablo through a window, waiting for him to relax or... something. He knew the lion would lose to the dragon in a fair fight, so he needed a surprise advantage.

A roar split the air. Laiel started, then shook his head and tried to focus on his target. That's the others' fight, not mine. Refocusing, he saw that Diablo was watching - he had turned into a half-dragon. Laiel wished he was just plain human, but he couldn't hope for a better opportunity. He took a deep breath, his muscles tensing.

Roaring, he leaped through the window, glass shattering as he pounced on Diablo's back.

Elsa-
Finally, a distant roar and I let out a sigh of relief, or at least the bird equivalent of one. Next to me, Laiel roars and pounces towards the distracted Diablo who'se half-dragon at the moment. I have to move quick now.
I fly the short distance from my hiding place to Cora's cell and start fiddling with the lock, trying to jimmy it. That's when I notice the iron bars. Losing some constraint, I bang my beak against the lock once, twice, and the latch springs open. I take a deep breath, reminding myself of where I am and, most importantly, where I'm not, wrap my talons around a bar of the cage and pull the door open. I turn back towards the fight and start trying to help Laiel. Diablo still has the adantage, even with my sharp claws and Laiel's teeth, but we don't need to win, we just need to give Cora time to escape and then find a way to escape ourselves.

Diablo Draco~~~~~Evil

I pushed the lion off my back with my tail. I growled, "Nadie se abalanza sobre mí, león. You picked the wrong time to mess with me." I shifted full dragon and growled as deep as I possibly could. No one goes into a dragon's territory without consequence. I breathed a jet of dragonfire, purposely missing the lion to scare him away. Without a moment of hesitation, I took the mountain cat to my room. I shifted back to full human, went in my room, and locked the door to keep the lion and his amigos out. I looked at the mountain cat. "Welcome to the Dragon's Lair, where all my treasure is kept."
Look down and show some mercy if you can.
Look down, look down, upon your fellow man.

A barrage of questions filled Roger's head once Blighton left.

"The Shifters under me will not harm you, if you spy for us. If I am guessing correctly you are running because you are one of the smallest Shifters and your whole body could fit into my mouth as a shark. So, what do you say?", he said.

Blighton walked off before Roger could say anything, "Your whole body could fit into my mouth as a shark?" He repeated to himself, "What the hell does that mean?"

Roger pondered those words for a few minutes before deciding that it was merely a grammatical error. But the threat did certainly stay in Roger's head. The fact that the opposing side called themselves the "good guys", yet their so-called "leader" is willing to resort to blackmail seemed a bit low to Roger.

Roger began to run through the events of everything that had occurred within the last few weeks. First there was the rebellion...."Wait, what rebellion?", Roger asked himself. He couldn't exactly remember what caused the rebellion in the first place, nor could even remember what happened. Either the rebellion thing was blanked out from his mind, or the "evil" animal shifters merely quit their jobs, and was attacked because of it.

Roger also couldn't remember what the purpose of the animal shifters thing was, and why the "good guys" desperately needed to win. But then again, Roger figured that it was merely Blighton blowing this whole thing out of proportion.

"You bit a chunk of another person's arm off earlier," a voice in his head said. "I think its safe to say that you're no better than anyone else here".

As true as that may have been, Roger needed to find out the purpose of everything that had occurred recently. Blighton didn't seem like the right person to ask, but Roger had a backpack filled with his "teammates'" belongings. He was sure that they wouldn't be so willing to answer any questions.

"Hey Brighton, or whatever your name is" Roger called out, "are you still there?"

Hunter - evil

Though tempting and so damn easy, one couldn't hide out in the forest forever. I contemplated this as I padded through the forest, a pair of cliche devil and angel sitting on my shoulders, whispering ideas in my mind.

Though I was edging towards running away and lving as a hermit for the rest of my life, a scent drifted towards me, clean, sharp and still fresh. Rayah's So this was where she'd been hiding out. I scoffed internally since a muzzle made it virtually impossible to do in reality. I followed the scent trail, curious since it seemed to lead back to the base.

With every step, I grew warier since now, I could also smell Jayden's blood. I wasn't about to go back there again.

With great reluctance, I gave up on Rayah, only to find Roger's voice drifting towards me, carried by the wind.

".....Brighfon...what beaver your name is, are two tear fear?"

What the hell? I strained my ears, but the words were muddled up and hard to make out. Though curiosity kills the cat, surely Curiosity would take pity on a sad, lonely cat encrusted with dried blood.

Pffffft, yeah right...fat lot of help sour lemon juice would do. When life also throws me a bag of sugar, then we'll start talking.

Roger heard rustling in the woods. He figured it was Blighton coming to either give him answers, or spew out lies. Roger grew more nervous as each second passed, and his paranoid little brain was coming up with many little conspiracy theories over how this whole "Animal Shifters" thing and the so-called rebellion could be part of a scheme bigger than he could imagine.

If the entire thing was just a straightforward "Good vs. Evil" kind of war, he was going to be pissed.

Blighton was blackmailing Roger. He was aying that he thought Roger was running because he wasn't a very big or powerful animal. It's OK though. Makes it interesting.

Blighton-

Roger was calling me back. I was going over when I smelled Hunter getting closer and she had fresh blood on her. Not just her blood, but Jayden's blood.

I remained hidden, alternating my gaze between Roger and the clump of bushes, I knew Hunter was behind.

You mean Blighton wasn't blackmailing Roger?

Laiel

Laiel crouched to pounce again, but a spray of fire blasted nearly in his face. He skittered back and saw Diablo running off with Cora.

Laiel started to pursue, but then he saw little gashes on Diablo's back and felt sick. Diablo probably wouldn't even notice, but Laiel realized that he had done that. We were allies once, and now I'm trying to kill him for what, having his own interests?

Then he caught sight of Cora again before they disappeared, and he remembered why he was here. Even if he wouldn't kill Diablo, he had to rescue Cora?

Snarling, he pounded after them. Surely he'd be able to find them again...
