Jayden - good

What do I do?

My eyes dart to the building and I swallow, thinking through my options.

If I find the medical room, I can try and help Els myself...

It surprises me that I probably wouldn't trust anyone with her, even my teammates.

"What you can do is tell me where the medical room is." I tell the tiger girl. "That's it."

I nodded, "Take a right down the hall and look for a silver door." I smiled and walked away. I came to my Base and ran inside, everyone looked at my arm. "Oh yeah, I had to deal with a panther" I said laughing and putting my foot up on a table.

Questioning whether I should trust what the tiger girl said, I cautiously make my way down the hallway, taking turns where I was directed to. I find the medical room and let out a relieved sigh, setting Elsa down on the table.

Bandages, bandages, where are the bandages?

I throw open all the drawers until I find what I need, cleaning and dressing her wound. She stirs and I hold my breath, wondering if she'll wake again. Hoping she'll wake again.

Rayah- Bad.

I looked around, people still looking at me. "What??!" I asked angrily. They all looked away and I crossed my arms. I let out a smirk and got off the chair walking back outside where I leaned against the tree and slid down, closing my eyes.

I open my eyes and squint against the harsh flourescent eyes. Where am I? My heart starts thudding a little faster like it always does when I'm inside, until I see Jayden sitting in the corner, tired but tensed.
I try to sit up, but find I'm too dizzy to. My arm has been bandaged but it still hurts. I doubt I'll be able to fly for awhile.
"Where are we?" I ask Jayden.

Elsa wakes and I rush over, barely hearing her question.

"This is the base." I answer her. "We're safe here."

I help her sit up and lean her against my shoulder, careful to avoid touching her arm.

"How you feeling?" I ask, not quite sure what I'm feeling.

"How you feeling?" he asks as I lean against his shoulder. I shrug, which turns out to be a mistake.
"I'll live," I say, and then start crying, relief rushing through me. Jayden pulls me closer to him, his strong arms wrapping around me protectively.

Jayden -

Elsa starts crying and I don't know what to do, wrapping my arms arouund her.

"What's wrong?" I ask. "Why are you crying? You're alright."

"I'm know," I say, "I'll live. That's why I'm crying." Jayden relaxes slightly. We're so close, I can feel his breath on my face like a warm wind.

"I-I don't understand." I admit.

She turns her face around and looks me in the eyes, pausing all of time.

"I don't understand," he says, and I turn and stare into his eyes. I can't get enough of those golden eyes.
"I'm just so relieved," I say, "I thought I was going to die. I was so scared. And then I had the nightmare again..."
"Nightmare?" he asks, and I shudder.
"I was trapped in a bird cage for about a month," I explain, "sometimes I dream I'm caught again." Even talking about it is painful.

"Oh." I tighten my grip on her and nod. "That's gotta suck."

I couldn't imagine dreaming something like that.

"It does," I say, "I've never told anyone that before." For some reason, I just feel calmer, less afraid, with Jayden's arms around me, pulling me closer. We're so close now, our noses are practically touching.

So close...

I lean in and we kiss, our eyes closing. In that moment, I promise myself to always keep her safe, to always be the one to save her.

He leans in, and before I know what's happening, his lips have met mine, as light and quick as the fluttering of butterfly wings. He kiss me again, and this time he doesn't pull away so quickly. My heart beat speeds up, but not from fear this time but from the complete opposite.
Finally we pull apart, and he kisses my forehead. Everything's changed now. I used to need the wind, the air, the sky. Now I just need Jayden, but I need him more desperately than I've ever needed anything, more than my own breath. But with this new need, a terror forms inside me.
"Don't leave," I whisper as he brushes a strand of my hair behind my ear. He stares into my eyes.
"Promise me," I say, louder this time, "you'll never leave."

No, it's not that you didn't succeed. You accomplished a lot, but, if you want to touch people, don't concentrate so much on rhyme and metre. Think more about what you want to say instead of how you're saying it.
