The Moosehead Tavern [1]

Jace smiles at Rayah's laugh and tries to think of any jobs he has had.

"He used to be a landscaper." Mitch elbows him back.

Jace blushes a little and focuses on his drink.

"Nature huh? Cool." I smiled. "Nature hates me," I giggled. "The last time I fought with nature was Artemis, she like killed me." I shook my head.

Jace glances at her, smiling.

"Artemis too?"

I nodded, "yep, almost every god or goddess is trying to beat me at something, I said frowning.

"Well, they can't." Jace kisses the side of her face.

"She did..." I smiled. "She challenged me to the Bow and Arrow. I failed epicly and by accident hit Athena." I cringed. "She was so mad that she shot it back at me. But I flipped out of the way and caught it," I grinned.

Jace smiles. "At least you caught it."

I nodded. "So Mitch, When was the last time you and Jace saw eachother?"

Mitch downs his beer and orders a scotch, not even close to losing sobriety.

"Um, two years ago, I think." He says, looking at Jace for confirmation.

"Yeah," Jace nods, "I think that's right."

"Wow...." I trailed off. "That's amazing you two still remember eachother," I smiled. Mitch smiled at me and I gave him a look saying 'Back off' and he lost his smile, still keeping his eyes on me.

Mitch downs his whiskey and tries to order another drink, Jace stopping him.

"That's like your fifth in a row." He says. "Moderation, please."

I nodded, "Jace should know." I said smiling.

Jace laughs at Rayah's comment and shakes his head.

"Yeah, I probably should."

I nodded again, and rested my arms on the counter. I took a sip of my drink. I looked at Mitch, "How old are ya?" I asked.

"Nineteen." Mitch replies, eyeing her.
