The Moosehead Tavern [1]

"Seventeen." Nic says. "When did you start drinking?"

I grinned- "Um when I turned 13." I said sending a look to the bartender to back off.

Nic nods. "Nine for me. Jace's first time was when you two met."

"What?" I turned to Jace. "Really?" I laughed. "Wow."

Jace blushes, looking down.

"Yep." NIc smiles, enjoying embarrassing his brother. "Seventeen."

"Well then..." I smiled. "It's not that bad. When my mom found out I started drinking she punched me." I laughed. "I punched her back."

"You have a screwed up family, no offense." Nic says.

"I know." I said laughing. "Your so lucky." I looked down. My phone rang. "Exuse me for a sec."

I walked into the corner of the wall and got some bad news. I hung up and stayed there. Crossing my arms and tears running down my cheeks. Hades Is gonna pay. Hard.

Jace takes Rayah in his arms. "What happened?"

"N-Nothing..." I said looking away. "Something just happened." I slid down the wall and buried my head in my knees.

Jace sits next to her and wipes the tears from her eyes, Nic walking over and taking her other side.

"C'mon. You can tell us." Nic whispers. "We're all family now, are we not?"

I looked over at him. "My younger sister, the ten year old, went against Hades today and...she lost." I put my head down again.

Jace brings her closer as Nic sets a hand on her shoulder.

"Sorry." Jace whispers. "That's not fair at all."

"She was my favorite sister, she was the only one that wasn't afraid to fight. I warned her about this. I told her she was to young to go and she didn't have enough experience." I rested my Head on Jace's shoulder. "And that's why I'm going to go back and give Hades what he gave Hanna." I stood up. "He's gonna regret it."

"You're gonna leave again?" Jace asks, sympathetic but afraid of going through the sanity-losing time he'd have to wait to get her back.
