Band Wars

Welcome to 2012's mixed music youth band competition! This clash of the musically talented will allow the contestants to send their creativity into euphoria, as they will be tested to their artistc best! All genres of music have been invited to participate in this clash of lyrical representation! You shall be staying in hotel rooms in the outskirts of the wonderful city of New Samantha. Happy jamming!

Your band has been welcomed to the MMYBC 2012, where you will perform against other bands to win the title of MMYBC champions 2012 and a recording contract. Of course, competition will be fierce, and some people will do anything to win; it is not unusual for sabotages to happen within the contest. This storybook will begin with all YWS teams taking on NPC teams, just so we understand how everything works. Then, as we head into the finals, teams will compete against each other. How the showdowns work in themselves will be demonstrated by me later on in the storybook, in the meantime however, we need characters. So, rules:

No god modding
No excessive swearing
No sex, however romance is allowed
Stay committed

Now that's out of the way, groups can be formed and named, but we will not have any more than two of the same genre group. All groups that don't have all of their spaces filled will have to be played by others within the group so, here is the band layout:

Personality: Jasmine is a tom-boy who can barely tolerate those who aren't her friends, generally she is quite sarcastic with most people no matter who they are. She is quite proud and anything or anyone that can or has damaged this pride will leave her severely shaken.
Up for love?: She is but it may take a while to even get her to like you in that way.

Betheny, I am so sorry, but I am going to have to be pedantic and point out that it is bassist, not basest. I don't mean offense, I'm just touchy about my instrument of choice...

Age: 20 (nearing 21)
Gender: male
Appearance: Tall, muscular, with long black hair and the beginnings of a beard. He already has tatoos on his arms and back, mostly Native American in theme and including the band's mascot- a condor- with it's wings spread across his shouldres. Often plays shirtless so this can be seen.
Personality: Heath is a man of conflict; outwardly, he projects an air of confidence, however, he is deeply conflicted, often giving voice to his concerns- but only when alone. Heath is no stranger to drugs, but insists he's no junkie, preffering to lock himself away with his beloved bass than a spliff of marajuana. Drugs and an abusive childhood play a key part in Heath's lyrics, but he has not sung in public since primary school, other than as backing vocals in Condor.
Up for love?: It would be a challenge to tap into Heath's introvert soul, but you will find that there is a lot more to him than he outwardly displays.

Appearance: She's five foot six inches and of normal weight.


Personality: She's fun and lively. She loves to just have fun and be silly. She has trouble following through with things, and will often take the easy way out. She is very spontaneous, and loves practical jokes. She can be lazy at times, and will talk her way out of problems. Sidney is very random and creative, and loves to write songs. She can come up with things off the top of her head, and loves to laugh at everything. She has ADD that she refuses to take medication for. She is easily offended, but just as willing to forgive.

Up for love?: She has a thing for a guy back in her hometown, but is easily 'distracted'.

She has an ankh tattooed on her left shoulder and a pentacle on her right forearm with the elemantal correspondents, and an Eye of Horus on her left upper arm and an Eye of Ra on her right. She has a red rose attatched to black celtic knots going around both her wrists.
Personality: She is very introverted, very intelligient, sweet, quiet, bubbly, has a fast acting temper, loves to draw, write and listen to music.
Up for love?: Yup
Other: Is a Romatigoth and tends to wear Rennaisance style clothes on and off stage. She is a bit shy when it comes to meeting new people. She loves to draw, read, write, and listen to music. She treats the band members like her family.

Appearance: Look at Fey's yes their identical twins.
Personality: She is the exact opposite of Fey she is bubbly patient and has to always be moving.

Other: Is a faerie goth. She always has a back up plan. She is very suspicious and quicker to accuse than Fey.

Personality: A witty, sharp tounged guy, Lloyd is very much so a pranker. His talent for sabotage is phenominal, but he is a bit of a sore loser himself. He is passionate about his music and can apprciate other peoples music, he just has an overwhelming need to win! (Even if that means wrecking an instrument or two).

Up for love: He's quite the flirt and likes women, so yes.

It's extremely annoying how every storybook I try to join never gets off the ground... let's hope it's not because of me!

So... yeah. This could be interesting. Seeing how there's a bunch of bands with only one member, I'm gonna join one.

Appearance: Tr!x is about 5"6 with blue eyes and black chin-length hair with a small ponytail to the left. She wears mostly black and has a dragon tattoo on her right hand, with its tail wrapped around her wrist.

Personality: Tr!x doesn't do well with rules or authority, thanks to overprotective parents who divorced when she was 12. However, she is good at heart. She can't stand pain, even though she acts tough, She feels like she's got to prove she's strong.

I have been wanting to join a SB for a very long time. I agree with Dragongirl and hope this one takes off!

Name: Aine (AN-ya)

Band: Rockets from Sydney - secondary guitarist

Age: 16 but claims to be 17

Gender: Female

Appearance: Aine is a pretty little blond with soft features whose hair is long and straight. She has blue eyes and smiles whenever she can. She comes in at about 5'4" and 100 lbs. Her whole body is rather fragile in appearance.

Personality: Aine is a reverse little sour patch kid. First they're sour and then their sweet but backwards. She is nice to everyone she meets but if you make her upset, she could be a little punk and be outright rude to you for quite a long time. She loves her band no matter what but secretly wishes that the lead guitarist would step down just once or twice and let her be lead for just a few songs. Aine and the lead guitarist get along but they have been somewhat tense through a great many situations. She loves listening to the other bands at the contest to get inspiration to weave into her band's performance.

Up for love?: She is not looking, but if a guy takes a shine to her, she might be interested.

I have been looking for a SB for a while now so I hope this one can take off soon.

Appearance: Carter has shoulder-length raven black hair with red streaks in them. She is 5'5 with a slim figure and pale skin. She has striking green eyes and often wears black skinny jeans and mens' button down shirts.

Personality: Carter is your all around girl next door on the outside but one the inside she is a broken girl. The product of a drunken one night stand Carter has never had a father figure in her life and her druggie mother has never shown her love. She escapes her pain through her music and can often be found in secluded rooms taping out beats with her drumsticks. She hope to one day hear her songs on the radio and see her name in lights.
Up for love?: She is looking for the someone that can make her forget the hardships of life, a good listener and shares her passion for music.
