Your Favorite Book of All Time

Casually went through here liking the posts that recommend books I'd count among my favourites. I way preferred A Thousand Splendid Suns to The Kite Runner actually, but they're both good.

My absolute favourite? I Capture The Castle by Dodie Smith. Beautiful and heartbreaking and extremely honest.

definitely The Hungry Tide by Amitav Ghosh. It was a mesmerising story.

Didn't see anyone mention it yet, but I would most definitely suggest The Fault in our Stars by John Green. It's one of the most amazing books I've ever read!

Also, Room by Emma Donoghue is amazing as well.

I just wanted to say the closest I could ever get to a favorite book- which would be hard because there are too many great books- but the closest I could get would be Stargirl by Jerri Spinelli!

John Green is my favorite author for the moment, and the Vladimir Tod series is great if you love fantasy. It is about vampires, but they don't sparkle, I promise. Actually, it goes more into them as a culture, aswell as showing young Vladimir's struggles as being a high schooler.

The Hunger Games Trilogy by Suzanne Collins = AMAZING!!!

For an American book, I'd say The Book Thief by Markus Zusak
For a Japanese book (AKA Light Novels), I'd go with the Book Girl Series by Mizuki Nomura. It's a really great series, although I don't know of NOOK lets you rent foreign novels xD it is translated in English though.

When the Lion Feeds is perhaps the greatest novel I've ever read, couldn't recommend it enough.

For an American book, I'd say The Book Thief by Markus Zusak

The Man Who Was Poe by Avi
The Brothers Karamazov by Fyodor Dostoyevsky (it's long, but it really and truly is amazing!)
Moonwalker by Michael Jackson (yes, THAT Michael Jackson!)
Daughter of China by C. Hope Flinchbaugh (an incredible story of a chinese girl who serves a jail sentence fighting to protect her belief in the God that is illegal in china)
Maybe a sprinkle of Kafka, if you're the one for symbolism
and, begrudgingly, Lord of the Flies by William Golding (even though I really hate it, even I must admit to its honesty and brilliance)
