*Uhh, Princessofdarkness, I think you misread what I wrote. I used your character in my post, where she defends my character. You'll have to edit your post, or I can edit my post* :)

Nimsi

Her throat hurt from screaming. Tears ran down cheeks, as anger and fear both turmoiled inside her. The only thing that gave her comfort, her teddy bear, had dropped from her hand as she was dragged out of the room. She did not stop to think about what lay ahead as the two security guards dragged her, their hands painfully gripping her underarms. She could feel her dress getting wet from cold sweat. The doctor walked infront of her, talking to himself. She heard the words "survives" and "never tested before", making her fear this even more.

They were approaching a door. A door that she remembered very well, both from her nightmares and the last time she'd been there. She struggled to make the guards let her go, as the images of the last experiment performed on her flashed throught her mind. It was the same room, that they were approaching, where the experiment took place. By the end of it, the room had turned into a pool of blood and stuff that she could not describe without getting a strong urge to vomit. She and Micah had been the only ones to survive the experiment, but she had never been able to sleep after that. Nevertheless, she became friends with Micah only after that.

Her flashback was cut short by the sound of the door opening. Her whole body was slick with sweat, and was trembling.

"Put her there, next to 2431 and put her on a drip." the doctor told a women who was operating a strange looking instrument. As she moved away, Nimsi saw Micah on a bed. An IV tube trailed from his arms to a bottle hanging above his bed, which was filled with greenish liquid. She could see how painful whatever that was being injected to him was, as his face was contorted, and his whole body was tense.

The security guards pushed her towards the bed and tossed her onto it, making the place where her head hit the wall throb painfully.

She closed her eyes tightly, knowing that someone would grab her arm and painfully force a needly into it.

Someone took her arm, but it was softer than what she expected. Nimsi, opened her eyes and looked at the person holding her arm.

It was Lily. A doctor who often smiled at her. A small relief flowed through Nimsi. Seeing, Nimsi looking at her, she smiled faintly, but quickly averted her eyes as the male doctor poked her arm.

"I would appreciate it if you hurry up. Dr. Abrams would be coming here shortly run the experiment." He said, sounding as though he was the personal chaperone of Dr. Abrams.

"And I would appreciate you not poking my arm while I'm holding a needle. Don't want me sticking it in you now do we?" Dr. Grey replied.

That shut the doctor up all by itself. Dr. Grey, inserted the IV needle into Nimsi's arm. She winced as the cold metal pierced her skin.

"Now, inject the other." Ordered the male doctor, tapping his foot on the floor.

"But James, Dr. Abrams promised he wouldn't do that to her." Dr. Grey protested, her voice pleading.

Nimsi watched as the male doctor, henceforth known as James took a step towards Dr. Grey, anger burning in his eyes.

"Firstly, it's Dr. O' Reily. Secondly, if you dare defy Dr. Abrams direct orders, I suggest you find a new job Grey." He replied.

Dr. Grey stared at him for a moment then wordlessly, then she took a syringe out of a nearby counter. It contained a little amount of clear liquid. Nimsi could see a certain sadness in Dr. Grey's eyes as she took Nimsi's hand and inserted the needle into her arm. She felt the cold liquid making it's way up her arm.

"What is this?" Nimsi asked, her voice sounding small and child-like.

Dr. Grey did not answer but walked out of the room, as Dr. O' Reily chuckled.

"That, is the venom from Pelamis platurus. You won't feel any difference for the next 30 minutes or so. Only after the full effect of the venom had taken hold of you would we administer the All-cure. I hope you survive to tell the tale" He grinned evilly and walked out the door.

Dr. Abrams

Dmitri stared at subject 2431 - at Micah – and said nothing. Truly, there was nothing Dmitri could respond with. The fact of the matter was that the subjects were all young and helpless, every single one of them. Dmitri had known that from the very first day he had tested on them...

But, it was all for the greater good; his father would always say that, and Dmitri knew that he would do well to remember it. The last thing he wanted was his morals interfering with his work. He had a responsibility to uphold and a mission to fulfil, a disease-free world, and that wouldn’t be possible if he let his emotions to get in the way.

Sacrifices had to be made.

Aware that Micah was still staring at him, Dmitri quickly returned his gaze to the boy’s report. He pulled out a voice recorder and checked his watch for the time before beginning the assessment.

“The day is 15th October, 2020 and the time is now 9:15am,” he said speaking into the recorder. “At approximately 9am subject 241 was injected by Dr. Von Ray with TB,” Dmitri glanced back at the boy, “the subject is sweating,” he placed a hand over the boy’s head before adding, “subject is also showing symptoms of fever and chills...” Dmitri’s eyes fell on the small heart monitor screen beside the cot, “and heart rate is faster than usual...further assessments will be made in 12 hours...”

The boy started to squirm in pain and Dmitri stopped the recording at that. Suddenly, there was a knock at the door.

“Come in.”

Dmitri’s young intern James O'Reily marched inside the theatre with a frown.

“What is it?” Dmitri asked.

“Dr. Grey...” James sneered, “...was about to defy direct orders given to you by Mr. Montgomery. I stopped her of course,” he quickly added, a smug and satisfied look on his face.

Dmitri passed him with a frown as he headed over to assess the next subject. “Dr. Grey is the department’s new head chemist, James. The next time you speak of her you would do well to be more respectful...”

Micah,

Dr. Abrams seems to be going through a painful internal struggle, and inwardly, I smile, if only a little. At least, somethings I say are taken into account. But that feeling of triumph goes away very quickly. The pain is to intense.
After a few hours, the IV is taken out, but the pain of the TB disease goes on. I know I'm feverish, or at least, that's what the doctors say. I'm also having stomach issues. Whenever I look at Nimsi, she seems in pain. The guards bring in someone else, too, and I think that it's Sebastian, but I can't see clearly.
I drift in and out of sleep, full of terrifying dreams. It goes on hours. Hours and hours.
I'm unconscious when Dr. Abrams comes back in. The guards roughly jostle the cot, and I awaken, blinking blearily. Abrams looks at his clipboard.

"It's been long enough for the TB to take effect," he says shortly, "It's time to administer Drug 207."

He gets something out of a cabinet, and puts it in a syringe, and walks over to me.

"Hmm..." he says, "Arm's to skinny. I guess it'll have to go in the leg," He addresses me, "This might sting a little bit."

I snort, "Don't give it to me, then."

He looks confused, "I need to test this drug, and, moreover, you'll die without it."

I laugh bitterly, "I like how you brought that up after the whole 'testing the drug' bit."

He ignores me, and plunges the needle into my thigh. I grunt in pain, but, almost instantly, I feel a strange calm flowing through me. I relax in the cot, and let the feeling wash over me, and close my eyes.

Dr. Abrams lets out a sigh of relief, "It's working."

A man threw himself out of the door. He was grinning easily. I hid in the shadows and watched him pass, then pushed through the door.

"Nim?" I called out. "Are you OK?" I rush towards her, and grab her hand. "What did they put in you this time?"

She shakes her head. I feel so angry. Why were we here like Guinea pigs? I squeeze her hand. "You'll pull through this, I know you will,"

*A note: the kids cannot freely move between rooms. They are either locked in the prison room, where they "live," or they're being experimented on...*

Don't worry about it. We all make mistakes sometimes ;)

So should I go along with what "PrincessOfDarkness" wrote or...?

*Okie :D But I think our posts are behind the timeline you are writing RedBird. I'll try to correct that issue in this post.*

*Hey Gleek, welcome to the storybook. And it's good to meet another gleek on the site.*

Nimsi

She watched the doctor leaving the room. Then the door burst open as a girl with a familiar face rushed through it towards her. It was Arwen.

"Nim?" She called out, and seeing her on the bed, she rushed to her, "Are you OK?"

She knelt beside Nimsi's bed and took her hand gently, as to not dislocate the IV tube.

"What did they put in you this time?" She asked, her voice a whisper.

Nimsi shook her head, because she did not understand what Dr. O' Reily told her as he went out. She drew comfort from the warmth of Arwen's hand, and squeezed her hand, smiling faintly.

Arwen squeezed back, "You'll pull through this. I know you will" She said, her voice reassuring but filled with sadness. Nimsi could see tears welling in her eyes.

Then the doors burst open as two security guards came running into the room. They spotted Arwen and grabbed her, dragging her back as she struggled vehemently to be released from there hold. She elbowed one on the nose, breaking it. He, in retaliation bent her arms in an inhumane way, making her scream in pain.

Nimsi closed her eyes and tried to shut her ears to block the screams of Arwen as she was dragged away from the room.

She looked around at Micah, but he was still in pain and had his eyes closed tightly.

The door opened for the third time and in came a person whose name she did not know. He spoke to the security guards that entered with him and she heard the name Dr. Abrams.

He went to Micah's bed and started conversing with him. She could not hear them over the whirr of the equipment, but I did hear Micah saying "What about her? She's so young and helpless."

The doctor became quiet. He couldn't answer the question. Nim felt a huge gratitude towards Micah though. 'There he was, not even caring about himself, asking about me' She thought

The doctor then pulled out a recorder and started speaking into it, while looking at Micah's report. He stopped as Micah struggled in pain. Then, Dr. O' Reily entered the room.

“What is it?” Dr. Abrams asked.

“Dr. Grey...” Dr. O' Reily sneered, “...was about to defy direct orders given to you by Mr. Montgomery. I stopped her of course,” he quickly added.

Dr. Abrams frowned, "Dr. Grey is the department's new head chemist, James. The next time you speak of her, you would do well to be more respectful..."

Nimsi saw Dr. O' Reily almost boiling with rage. And as Dr. Abrams slowly made his way over to her, he stomped out of the room, muttering to himself.

"Now, how are you feeling 16?" He asked, gently touching me head.

Nim mumbles inaudibly, feeling intimidated.

Dr. Abrams stared at her silver eyes for a moment, as if he's regretting his decision, but then shaked his a bit.

He went around to my right side and gently took my arm. He examined the place where Dr. Grey injected me. Then pushed up her right sleeve and put his hand on her armpit, checking the moisture. He did the same with her neck and hands.

"Open your mouth and put out your tongue" He said. He shined a pen-light into her mouth and examined it.

Then he took out the same recorder and pressed record. "The date is October 15th, 2020, and the time is 9.27 AM. At approximately 9.05 AM, subject 16 was injected with the venom taken by Pelemis platurus. The subject showing the signs of early stages of venom-poisoning, such as increased sweating, swollen tongue. The subject would be monitored for 8 hours, and checked for vomiting, and Arrhythmia." He pressed the stop button and then walked out of the room without so much as a backward glance.

Nim could feel sweat wetting her dress again. Her head was hurting now and she began to feel sick. She turned over to her side and closed her eyes.

She wakes after several hours feeling feverish. But what woke her up was the painful feeling of her stomach. She rolled over to the side of the bed and vomited several times onto the floor. Her throat seared with the acidity. Her dress was sticking onto her body, and was wet from sweat. She collapsed onto her bed as unconsciousness claimed her.
Warden: "If you want to lead, all you have to do is ask."
Alistair: "What? Lead? Me? No, no, no. No leading. Bad things happen when I lead. We get lost, people die, and the next thing you know I'm stranded somewhere without any pants."

Link watches as Micah, then Nimsi, are taken away. He notices Nimsi's teddy-bear drop out of her hand as she is dragged out of the room, and crawls over to it. She'll want it returned when she gets thrown back into the cell. If, Link corrects himself. He may have been in here the shortest time of all the subjects, but he had no doubts that some of them will die. Maybe even all of them. He returns to his corner and examines the bear. One of it's eyes was nearly torn of in the struggle, so he pulls out the pen he pickpocketed from the guard called Jerry a few weeks ago. After removing the ink-tube, he dabs some onto the fur. He places the eye onto the ink and spins it a few times. The friction heats the ink, giving it glue-like qualities. It isn't the best fix, but it's the best he can manage. He places the bear back onto Nimsi's blanket, then resumes his vigil on the clock that he can just make out from his corner. It's just visible above the guard station, and Link spends his days watching it.
He wonders why Sebastian has been away so long...
I hae but ane gallant son, and if he were to follow me in my footsteps, how proud I shall be.

Time isn't a straight line. It's a big ball of wibbly wobbly timey wimey stuff

Sebastian

When Sebastian woke up a long while later, the scientist sighed. "Took you long enough. Vital signs OK?" He asked to nobody in particular, receiving a reply of "Dunno. Changed a little."

"What changed?"

"Do I look like a doctor?"

The scientist sighed again and walked over to the screen. "Heartbeat's off. Inject him with the medication for heart failure."

"Which one?"

"The pink stuff."

"There's alot of pink stuff."

The scientist sighed yet again, and walked over to the shelf of needles and pills. "I'll do it myself. One of you watch the heartbeat." He took a needle and shoved it into Sebastian's arm. He whimpered quietly (it was a long needle) when the man pulled it out. "Back to normal?"

"I think so."

"Good. Bring him back to the cell, I'll go see if anybody got the dosage right. It did cure the TB, though, but clients may not enjoy severe pain."

"Yes sir." One of the guards said. He grabbed Sebastian by the wrist and pulled him up off the table, then twisted it behind the subject's back. He did the same to the other wrist, making sure he didn't try anything.

As Sebastian was pulled out of the room, the scientist muttered what he was writing on the report: "Subject 230... Cured... Dosage off, side effects persisting." He sighed. "All this time I spent waiting for the kid to come to, the others probably found the right way yesterday."

The guard didn't loosen his grip on Sebastian's wrists until they got to the cell. The guard stopped at the door and shoved him in, muttering something about "filthy lab rats."

Sebastian waited until he was gone to walk over to a corner, the best place to observe, and sit. He noticed that a few were still missing, and hoped that the scientist was right- that they found the right dosage, that his agony was the worst it'd get for the 'cure-all' test subjects.

He was never the type to give to much power to hope.

~C.K.~
The door opened, and Christopher strolled in, followed cloesly by a pair of guards and one of the doctors. They took Arwen, but C.K. hardly noticed; Christopher was back. That was all that mattered. With Christopher, C.K. was safe, or at least he could pretend to be.
As if stepping on springs, Christopher bounded over to him and plopped down on the ground next to C.K.
"Usual morning?" he asked cheerily.
"Yes. So far they've taken Micah, Nimsi, and - " C.K. glanced around the room. "Sebastian's gone. I don't even remember them taking him."
Christopher shrugged. "I guess they all run together, huh?"

One of the new subjects, Link, cast a sideways glance at C.K. and raised an eyebrow. He elbowed Isabella next to him and whispered in her ear. She in turn looked at C.K., then back at link.
"What are they staring at me for?" C.K. asked.
"Who cares?" Christopher sighed. "You look fine to me," he added, winking. C.K. rolled his eyes, but when he looked back at Isabella, she was gawking at him.
"Ignore her," Christopher pleaded. "Maybe she's delusional from all the tests and drugs."
Suddenly Link stood and picked the teddy bear Nimsi had dropped off the floor. Checking to make sure no guards or doctors where coming, he pulled out a pen, took it apart, and did something with the eye of the bear. C.K. craned his neck to see what he was doing to the bear, but Christopher nudged him and said, "How did he get a pen?"
"How should I know? What's he doing with the bear?"
"No, no. Forget the bear, C.K. Think about the pen."
"What about it?"
Christopher smiled. "A few years ago, I had a friend who stabbed a girl with a pen."
"Was she okay?" C.K. gasped.
Christopher gave him a pitying expression before slowly replying, "No, you numbskull. He killed her. And then he framed me for it. That's why my parents sent me here. But that's not the point!"
C.K. raised his eyebrows in expectation, but Christopher just grinned at him.
"If you get the pen from Link, you might be able to off one or two of the guards - maybe a doctor if you're lucky - next time they take you for testing."
"No. I couldn't take the pen from Link. He looks like he's using it."
"Really? That's the moral issue you have with this plan?" Christopher said condescendingly.
C.K. bit his lip. "Why can't you do it? You're stronger than me anyway. You'd probably have a better chance."
Christopher laughed.
