MediSyn

The #1 pharmaceutical company in the world:
We use some of the most advanced technology available today to discover new cures and produce safe, cheap, and over-the-counter drug products.

They have changed the face of medicine. They have derived cures for ten different types of cancer, AIDS, TB, and many other horrific diseases and conditions. Backed by nearly all world governments, the international pharmaceutical company, MediSyn, has revolutionized the medical industry. In the world's view, they are saviors.

But not to everyone.

You are their test subject. You might have been taken as a baby, or when you were older, but that's not the point. You are used to test their new drugs, and they don't care how many of you die. Of course, many live, as their drugs are successful. But you know this cannot be right: children from ages 10 to 16 are forced to become sick in various ways to test the effectiveness of new medicines and drugs. You have endured unimaginable pain, and you are treated like scum, barely intelligent. This is all you know: the pain, the suffering, the long march forward towards death. You are the lab rats.
Having lived the majority of your life inside the medical facilities of MediSyn, you know little to nothing of the outside world. But you know that there has to be something better than this, that, somewhere, there is a place without the pain. And you want out.

And it is time the world learned the truth.


Profiles, rules, etc.

Okay, so that's the plot. You are a human test subject living in a medical research lab somewhere in the US. You are treated cruelly, and live in a small room with maybe 7-10 other kids/teens, except when you are being used to test a new drug. You are kept healthy enough to use as a subject, but other than that, you live in hell. Constant blood tests, exposure to new diseases, and minor operations have left you scarred and hurting. Your only wish is to escape.


Profile:

Along with having a subject profile, I'm also have one or two doctor/scientist roles open. Those will be by audition, so if you want to do that, PM me the profile! If you get a scientist/doctor role, you can also have a subject role, if you so desire.

Brief History: (Remember, these kids know almost nothing about the outside world, or where they came from. It is possible that they were kidnapped, but they were probably brainwashed and don't remember much)

Rules:

-No God-modding, it's rude and makes everyone annoyed
-No Mary/Gary-Sues...no one's perfect
-No sex scenes, but romance is allowed
-There will undoubtedly be some violence, but don't go over the top with it
-Swearing is allowed, but, again, don't go over the top. Also, remember that the test subjects only really know what they've heard from the doctors and scientists who work with them, and so don't have a lot of stuff that we take for granted.

Gender: Male

Name: Micah, subject 2341

Appearance: Micah is slight and skinny, but strong (or as strong as he can be, under the circumstances). He has long red hair that he tries to keep tied back, and is really pale. He grew out of his shoes a long time ago, and MediSyn never gave him a new pair, and his clothes are more rag than anything else.

Personality: Micah tries to be cheerful when he's around the other subjects, but is uncooperative and sarcastic with his experimenters. He is fiercely protective of his friends, and will turn violent if they are threatened, which, unfortunately, happens almost daily. He tends to get "subdued" for fighting on a weekly basis.

Brief History: He knows nothing other than MediSyn. He grew up there, made friends there, and has no idea what parents are. He hates his keepers and longs to be free, to find whatever is out there. He doesn't know what it is, but it has to be better. It has to be.

Other: Up for love, I suppose, if he ever gets the chance...

Age: 16

Gender: Female

Name (what you and other subjects call you) and subject number (used by doctors): Arwen, Subject Number 13.

Appearance: Arwen has short, messy pixie styled hair and ocean blue eyes. She is skinny, with multiple bruisings and lacerations / scars on her body, one being from her temple to her jaw.

Personality: She is brave and determined, and desperate. She wants nothing more than to get out, get away from all the pain. She is loyal to her friends.

Brief History: Arwen remembers the beach. The sea and the sand, with a melting sunset was the only thing the Doctors couldn't take from her. Other than that she remebers her name. And a boy with brown eyes and blue eyes.

Other: She is up for love, tied in with the boy she remembers. (;

Age: 15

Gender: Female

Name and subject number : Isabella, Subject Number 214

Appearance: Isabella is very short and the doctors think her growth was stopped early due to one of their experiments, due to her height she is the smallest subject. She has long black hair which she leaves down. The only clothes she has are the ones she wears. This is a dress which used to be blue but is now so faded and worn that it looks grey. Thanks to her stunted growth she still fits into her clothes.

Personality: Isabella is quite a happy person and tries her best to keep everyone looking on the bright side. She loves her friends but finds it hard to trust people she doesn't know. This is most likely due to the traumatic life she has lived.

Brief History: Isabella doesn't remeber anything about her life before she came to MediSyn. In fact she found it hard to believe that there was anything else when someone first told her about outside, then she started to see more subjects arriving and realised that there had to be more than just MediSyn.

Other: Isabella is up for love but she has to trust the person first, something she can find difficult.

Age: 14

Gender: Male

Name and subject number: Link, subject 01150.

Appearance: Small and wiry, Link has a fuzz of hair so dark that it seems to absorb sunlight. It doesn't grow anymore due to experimentation, but never gets dirty. He wears a cloak type rag, and has a scar crossing his left eye. Does'nt wear anything on his feet.

Personality: Quiet, resourceful and observant, Link tries to keep himself to himself, but will help out if at all possible. He notices more than normal, and gathers information like other subjects gather grime. He hates physcial contact, but can be relied upon for anything even though he is slow to trust

Brief History: Link remembers life on the streets as an orphan, but not his name. Living on his own for years made him cold, distant and dangerous, and now he burns for revenge against the company that stole his freedom, and the life of his sister. One of the newest subjects.

Other: Link barely understands friendship, let alone romance.

Age: 16

Gender: Male

Name and subject number: Sebastian, subject 230.

Appearance: He has ear-length brown hair, and his eyes are hazel. His skin is naturally very pale. He doesn't even attempt to make his hair look neat, a failed hair-growth experiment made it uncooperative (for lack of a better word.)

Personality: He doesn't enjoy talking to people at all, and only will if approached. When forced to communicate, he says as little as possible until he knows the person well. He can be a slight opportunist at times; reacting differently to different people in the way that'll get him in the best position, in case he's ever in a situation where it'd be useful. He's not a bad person, but he puts himself first. He's fully capable of caring about someone, it's just that he wouldn't stop them from taking a bullet for him or something.

Brief History: He remembers his name, the forest, and a grey tabby cat. He thought for a while that these things were fantasy until he saw newcomers to the testing facility and realized that they were memories.

Other: Up for love, but fairly picky.

Name: Nimsi
Subject number: Subject 16

Appearance: She has straight brown hair up to her waist, and she has an unusual pair of bright silvery eyes. She is small for her age, and her outer appearance makes her look younger than she actually is. The clothes she is wearing, a faded pink summer dress, are the only she ever had.

Personality: She is a happy person and tries to to stay friends with anyone she meets (anyone except the ones that torture and punish her) But she is a very timid person and finds her strength when in the presence of people she know. She agrees with people on a lot of occasions. Her actions almost always make her look a lot younger than she is. She carries a teddy bear whenever she feels lonely or sad. Because of some experiments, she rarely ever sleeps, preferring to watch others sleep. But sometimes, when she is tired, she falls asleep.

Brief History: Her teddy bear is her only belonging from her previous life. She could vaguely remember her mother's sweet laugh and the deep voice of her father, but nothing else.

Other: She is up for love, but it would be a completely new thing for her.

Everyone, thanks for joining! We should be starting soon...I just want to get a few more people. Also, no one has applied for a doctor character, so we might just end up having general characters that people can use as they wish...

Gender: Male

Appearance: Dmitri is 6ft, pale-skinned and has a handsome face. He has short brown curls, dark brown eyes, and wears glasses. He has a thin but lean body, and when he isn’t wearing his lab coat and goggles (when he's working on a test subject), or a suit and tie (when he's making public appearances for the pharmaceutical company), he likes to dress in very simple, casual relaxed clothing.

Personality: Dmitri is all business. He is the public face of MediSyn pharmaceutical company and has dedicated his life to work on curing illnesses. This has left little time for him to do things that normal guys his age do. Instead of going out, partying and having girlfriends, Dmitri spends most of his time in his the laboratories of MediSyn pharmaceutical company.

Brief History: Dmitri is from a prestigious upper class family who have strong ties to MediSyn pharmaceuticals. His parents have invested all their time and energy to get him to where he is today, and Dmitri’s only wish in life is to make them proud.
