I know I should post this in the DT but I think I'll be a little bit naughty! Anyways, I think I am going to shut down the character taking business thing (what I mean is there isn't any free spaces left). If you know anyone that seems interested to join then direct them to me via PM and I'll see what I can do.

EDIT: Clove is still going but it doesn't really matter if no one takes her, we have enough characters to work with. :D

Anyway, I have decided that on Monday (Australian time), I will make the first post, so if all profiles could go up then that would be great. If you don't have enough time then that's fine, but it would be most lovely if you could. If you have any ideas don't be afraid to post them on the DT, we need some. Okay then, till monday, be ready to represent!
I spy!

I tried to resist joining this...but I couldn't do it. XD Apple said I could take Clove!

Name: Lynette Millerion (You can call her Lyn, if you'd like.)

Age: 15

Gender:Female

Character Role: Clove

Appearance:
Spoiler
Image

Maybe what conncted Lynette to Clove was her long, dark hair. Maybe it was the light green eyes, the one's infamously used on Clove's mutt. The pretty dark lashes surronding them could certainly be used on a beautiful career girl. It could've been the sparkly earring's in her ear. Maybe it was the lithe figure, slim but realistic. The strong legs, the slight curve on the hips, and the decent waist could be a give away. Certainly 5'5 isn't a bad height for a career.

Whatever it was, it certainly wasn't the cut's on her wrist.

Personality: A generally quiet girl, you wouldn't really expect the brain that's behind her. She'd rather not talk, but observe and soak everything in. When she does talk, there's always a bit of sarcasm and bitterness behind her voice. Sometimes she means it to be there, but sometimes she doesn't. Either way, she's very intelligent. She has a strategic brain. When she speaks, you won't always hear it, but it's there. She only speaks intelligently when she needs to defend herself or if she feel's she'll be listened to. Don't think you'll listen? You won't get much from her.

On the outside she can seem a little bit cold, but she's really just scared of being burnt. She put's on a tough act and tries to be the big kid, but most of the time just hides behind her facade. Sometimes she'll have random outburst of socialness, but will always end it with a flush and a stutter. Deep down, she really is a nice girl, it's just beeen shoved down.

She's also a bit quirky. She doesn't believe in luck, but is a big believer of fate. She'll never show you her wrists-ever- and will try to hide them in the oddest ways.

History: Life hasn't been very nice to Lynette.

She started off with a decent enough life. Her parent's were together, although they did argue. She had good grades, a good house, and parent's who loved her. When she was thirteen, however, her father found out her mother was cheating on him.

From there, the arguments only got worse and worse. Lynette stood for it only a week or so before she confroted both of her parents. Somehow, they ended up talking it out. Lynette's mother realized she'd been acting stupid and desperate and Lynette's kindly father decided he could deal with the past, as long as they could look at the future with fresh eyes. Lynette went to bed happy, but it didn't last long. Two days later, on his way to work, her father was killed in a car crash.

The irony was a bit to bitter to taste. Lynette cried herself to sleep that very night. The next morning, when taking a shower...the razor 'slipped.' The young girl tried her very best to get away with cutting herself, but her friends put a quick stop to it. So the girl tried the reasonable thing and fell into her mother's arm's.

Her mother the fool.

Lyn's mother's vigal for her husband lasted about seven months. After that, she did the worst thing possible- she invited her former 'master' (That's what you would call the guy she cheated on her husband with, right?) to live with them. Lynette sank quickly back into depression. She viewed her mother's new boyfriend as an evil man, although he genuinely tried to befriend her. She let her grades slip, sank away from her friends and mother, and...went back to cutting herself.

Fast foward a year. Lynette was sitting in her bedroom, adding another slit to her wrist, marking the eighth time the new man had called her 'honey.' Lynette's mother comes knocking on the door, wanting to talk about the newest report card. Her mother open's the door and well....you can guess what happened. The woman was outraged and tried to talk to her daughter. After multiple tries, she finally got through. Lynette agreed to change, being tired of so much bitterness and wanting a good deal.

It's been a few month's and Lynette's only cut herself once, and learned to regret it. She's running Cross Country, and her grades have been picked up. She's reconnected with her old friends, and life's been good.

Until of course, some freak picks her off the street while she's window shopping with her old friends. Great. Just great.

Strengths: Endurance. She can run forever without getting tired. She's good with sharp objects. Lynette is intelligent on various subjects and clever. Good actress and not a bad lier.

Weaknesses:Not very flexiable or good at sports or any of that. Easily insulted and embittered. Isn't one for 'forgive and forget.' Never shot a gun before. Can also be a bit of a pessimist. Tends to over think things.

Other:She's read the Hunger Games series at least three times over. Up for love. Also up for alliance, with someone who matches her wit, understands her past, or is stronger that she is.
I have loved the words and I have hated them. I only hope I have made them right.

Alright, first post here we come! :D If you haven't posted your character profiles (I've already said this in the DT but I'll say it here to because I am feeling groovy) then just drop them in and join in on all the fun! But, if you've decided that you don't want to do this anymore, please tell me as soon as possible so I can give the role to someone else. Alright, continuing onwards...

President Snow:

A green glow drifted through the room making the shadows in the corner dance like fevered animals. President Snow slumped in the large chair set in the middle, staring at the many screen set in front of him. Each one pictured a different person lying unconscious on the forest floor, pained expressions covering their innocent faces. Picking up the Hunger Games book at his feet, President Snow pressed it into his chest and stood, hovering towards the screen labelled Katniss. At a push of a button he could exterminate them all, all twenty four of the children lying in the grass.

President Snow’s fingers itched above the control panel. Did it give him great power? Yes, it ran through his body like a wild beast making his heart swell. At a simple press of the button their lives would end. It was that easy. But he couldn’t press that button, the games hadn’t begun yet. When each tribute awoke, then the Hunger Games would begin and then Peeta and Katniss’s love would become a reality to the whole world. President Snow looked down at the wrist watch across his wrist. In fifteen minutes, every screen in the world would by forced to envision the live program of the Hunger Games. In only fifteen minutes all of President Snow’s dreams would come true and the twenty-four tributes nightmares would become a reality.

Bradley James (Marvel, District One):

“Stop it Kara, d-don’t touch my hair…!” I chuckled in a sleepy daze, batting away the tiny paws fiddling with my hair. Wait, tiny paws? I sat up with a jolt, spinning around to see instead of my girlfriend (ex-girlfriend, sorry) sitting behind me, a rodent raced towards the bushes, its tail between its legs. Putting my hand up to my hair, I narrowed my eyes. What the hell is a rodent doing in my room? A cold breeze suddenly pushed past my shoulders, making my arms pimple.

“Wait, this isn’t my room.”

With a shout, I sat up, spinning my neck around so that my skin pinched. T-this was definitely not my room. Not even my house! A breeze whistled through the plants sending the smell of moisture and decay my way. Everything looked so miserable, just like in a horror movie. Was I dreaming? Did I spend all night watching the R-rated channel Mum had banned me from? My whole body spun as if the world had been turned upside down. Grabbing at my cheek, my fingers burned against my temples.

No, I hadn’t watched any kind of zombie apocalypse show last night. I know I didn’t. I wasn’t sweating like I usually would. Spreading out my finger, I plucked out a piece of grass from the ground I sat on. It felt awfully real for a dream. My eyes suddenly widened. A flash image of me sitting in the park clicked before my eyes. There was a shadow of a man behind me but that version of me didn’t see it – it was c-crying…Opening my eyes, I drew my tongue across my dry lips. They tasted so bitter, as if someone had smeared poison over them. I stood up, a cold breeze pushing its way over my arms. No, it wasn’t poison.

“Chloroform,” the words left my lips like a whisper.

Roaring, I leapt to my feet, stepping backwards and plunging my legs into mud. I felt my body begin to sink, my clothes sticking to my legs. This wasn’t a dream, this was very much real. Clawing at the grass, I hauled myself back onto land, my chest rising and falling, my heart palpitating so quickly it felt like it was going to burst through my chest. I caught a glimpse of one of my sneakers sitting on the mud’s surface, the toe area completely submerged. I could remember it all now. The shadow, the napkin going over my mouth, the struggle, being overpowered…

A voice suddenly boomed over the tree tops sending the birds roosting in the many branches and twigs flying in every direction. “Welcome Tributes, welcome to Earth’s very first Hunger Games!”
I spy!

"Welcome Tributes, to Earth's very first Hunger Games!" a loud voice woke me up with a start. My eyes shot open, but I didn't sit up. I tilted my head to see what my cheek was on. It was rough, pointy, and sharp- grass. I blinked and sat up, one hand supporting me on the ground. Where was I? Where were the shops? Where's the purge stain beside me? I blinked and looked around, still sitting. One boy was already awake.

"Hunger Games?" I asked myself. Hunger Games... Hunger Games... where have I heard that name before? Ah, yes! A book I used to read in school! What a wonderful book. Wait, but the Hunger Games was known for being a gory, yet romantic, story. Who is this man?! Why are we in the Hunger Games?! Oh wait, which district am I in? Oh, I hope I'm in District 12 like Katniss! What am I saying? I'm going to die! I immediately stand up.

"Where are we?!" I shouted to the sky. I tilted my head when I noticed that I scared some birds. How sad. I pinch my arm. Ugh, I still have some more fat to get rid of.

(I hope this is okay!)

My head was pounding. Still parshley asleep, I rolled over and frowned, ugh, stupid headache. Maybe Daddy will let me stay home from school today I thought hopefully. He normally lets me do whatever I want, so if I give him the "puppy-eyes" it should be a done deal. And besides, I thought sleepily, I could use the rest, especially after being out at that all night party last night. I smiled slyly, remembering the time I had, but then something triggered in my memory, something about last night, something had gone wrong...

I opened my eyes and screamed. The loud screech intensified my headache to a full, blown-out migrain and I grimaced and pressed my fingers to my temples. What the hell was going on? Had I drunk too much last night and passed out on a short cut to my house? Daddy would kill me. Of course I've sipped some before, but never that bad. So no, that's impossible, but so is the fact that I woke up in the middle of the forest.

Suddenly a loud voice echoed through the trees, "Welcome Tributes, to Earth's very first Hunger Games!"

Hunger games? What was that? Some kind of game show? I mean what the heck? And why was I in the woods? Was it a sick practical joke? All of these thoughts were spinning through my head like a spinning record. Questions, never getting answers. Possible explenations that didn't make any sense.

Well, I wasn't going to learn anything just sitting here. So getting up, I dusted off my clothes and ran my fingers quickly through my hair. Then, with a determined look on my face, I started walking through the forest leaves with my party heals. I was going to find out what was going on. And I was going to find the bitch that was in charge of this.

Felix Lockett (Peeta, District 12)

So I couldn't smell dog's ass right now. My nose wrinkled involuntarily as I let out a long groan. God yeah, that was definitely dog's ass. An unwashed dog too, may I add. Probably a corgi considering it was tinted with a stench of importance... or pork. Either one. As I fluttered my eyelids open, I realised that it wasn't exactly a dog's ass I could smell, but the wonderful creation that came from that particular part of the body. I never knew I could move so fast in my life.

"Holy crap!" I yelped, springing to my feet. I gazed down at the ground to see a lump of brown. "Yum."

I nudged the poo with my foot. It wobbled. I laughed. I did it again, and again, and again. I'd never been so amused in my life. By the time I'd finished, the majority of the grass below me was smeared in the stuff. I was still laughing when I sat myself down on a nearby boulder, and it was then I finally realised I had no idea in hell what was going on. The majority of people would have noticed it way earlier, but not me. It made me feel quite special actually, only after I was finished panicking though.

All I could see were trees, leaves, grass and rocks. How the fat chicken had I ended up here? I couldn't reme--oh, I could see a crippled bird too. Funny considering I'd just been thinking about fat chickens. It hobbled over towards a tree in the distance, and I couldn't help but wonder why it didn't just fly. Anyway, yeah, I couldn't remember anything from... well, from before now.

I began tapping my knee as I remained sitting on the boulder. I had to retrace my steps, that was all... Yesterday, I had toast for breakfast, but when I tried to cook another piece, the toaster basically exploded. Yeah... yeah, that was yesterday. I buggered off to college, I told my tutor how my toaster had kicked off at me earlier on, I bought a chicken and cheese sub (no sauce, especially that garlic crap. It looked like a frog had puked.) from Subway, I came home, my mate... Matt, was it? threw my telly at the hag next door... I paused, then laughed. That was a fun time. What happened then though? I couldn't even think. The last thing I could remember was going to the bank...

"Welcome Tributes, to Earth's very first Hunger Games!" a voice boomed from God knew where.

"Sweet mother of Jesus!" I yelled after almost wetting myself.

Bloody hell, a warning could have been nice. My annoyance was soon cut short though. How on earth did that work...? Where did that come from? The trees? I glanced around, but saw nothing that resembled any speakers. My God, I was turning insane, wasn't I? The trees were talking. When greenery started having a conversation with you, you knew it was time to check into the local loony bin.

I let out another groan, but slowly processed what I'd just heard. What were the Huger Games? Some new, whacked up sporting event for the Olympics? If so, London was trying way too hard by now. Hang on... Hunger... hungry... food?

"Oh! Awesome! Does that mean I can eat? I fancy a fry up!" I called at whoever was listening: I assumed someone was. "No bacon though. That stuff gets all in my teeth, you know, and it's a bitch to get out. As for my eggs, I don't mind how they're cooked, so long as they're not scrambled. It just reminds me of tadpoles, and hey, I don't want to be eating no frogs."

(A bit of a long post, but hey, that's me for you. I wrote this up quickly because I have school in 6 hours, and I'm half asleep, so it's probably full of errors. I'll have to clean it up tomorrow afternoon.)
I didn't know what to put here so I put this.

Dean- (Thresh District 11)

I rolled over, my mouth hanging open and groaned. My back was sore, and my ears were popping.
Twisting my neck slowly to rid it of the sharp pains. I wond-- I cut my thoughts off, looking around, surprised as I blinked the blurriness out of my eyes. I was sitting on top of a boulder, and above me was a big tree. What the heck? My mouth was dry. Water. I stood up, and looked around. Kids were lying around, some on top of each other, some on rocks, some even in trees. And there, in the middle was a really big lake. Brown with mud and probably sewage. Wonderful.
Some kids were starting to wake.
"Welcome Tributes to the Earth's very first Hunger Games!"
"What?" I shouted, scaring some of the people who were awake. "The Hunger games?"
Yes, I admit, I've read the Hunger Games. It's one of the few books I've read, and I have to admit, there pretty cool. For books. But being submitted to a real one? Not cool. And wait. I thought those kids fight to the death? Not happening. I am not getting arrested for killing someone. I just got a full ride to a college. There is no way. I start running. Away from the kids, away from the dirty lake, away from danger.
I hear footsteps behind me, soft treads on the ground. I turn, and start talking. "Hi! Please don't kill me. I really don't need death. It'd get in the way of my plans."
The girl, a very pretty girl, rolls her eyes and puts out her hand. "Hi. I'm Lynn."

Micah Kitt, District 5 (Foxface),

Something is brushing against my face. I wrinkle my nose, hoping that it will go away. It doesn't. It feels like...grass? Why would there be grass in my bed? My eyes fly open. I stare up at a light-dappled tree. Around me, I hear people groaning. Slowly, I sit up and look around. A forest, surrounding a muddy lake. Which stinks like hell.

"Bugger," I murmur, "What the hell is going on?"

Other people are lying on the ground around me, none of whom I know. Hmm. That's interesting.
Just as I'm standing up, a deep voice resonates around the clearing, but not from any of the people in it. It sounds like it's coming from the very sky itself.

“Welcome Tributes, welcome to Earth’s very first Hunger Games!”

Now, that gets my attention. I've read the series, of course I have. They're great books, really engaging. Actually, I'm kind of obsessed, having read each book at least five times. I've also been following the production of the movie quite closely. But that's not the point, I tell myself sternly. The Hunger Games are a fight to the death. A very violent one. And I can't fight, like, at all. That could be a problem.

Oh wow, I think we're going brilliantly. I seriously didn't think I'd get this far! :D You guys a great! Anyways, I am going to push all of your buttons (I don't know what I am saying anymore. Just take this as the post from a sleep deprived loser)...

Bradley Newman:

"Just as in the books, you will engage in an all out brawl until only one of you are standing." The voice sounded through the silence. "The Hunger Games is tale about death, oppression and the love of two young teenagers blossoming. Don't let me down Katniss and Peeta."

Katniss? Peeta? Hunger Games? A fight to the death? I whirled around, my heart leaping into the middle of my throat. Who were these people standing around me? Where the flaming hell was I?! I put hand to my chest trying to calm myself down but it only worsened. Had that jerk of a step-father already shipped me off to Military school, and this was some sick joke they were playing as my initiation? I could feel an asthma attack coming on and yet I hadn't once had asthma.

"Who are you?!" I screamed, the sound of my voice was so vulnerable and innocent, it was offending to my own ears. I had to even take a double take to make sure it had even been me the one that had spoken.

"Oh Marvel, so quick to speak your opinion..." the male voice trailed away. "You may call my President Snow. For now, I am your master. Currently you are on every screen in this entire Earth, you're lives, you're deaths and you're love being aired out to the fans of the Hunger Games series. You will re-act the Hunger Games with every twist and turn right down to the book so that everyone can enjoy the love I so do feel."

"Yeah, and if we don't want to?" My head snapped towards that of a guy with blonde hair with the fringe spiked up. His eyes were wide, his lips pressed together in a smirk.

"Peeta, your tone does not ammuse me. The real Peeta would never act so rash." A sigh dragged out from somewhere. "If you choose not to fight against each other, I will kill you! At push of a button all your lives sit in my hands. Now my precious little tributes, run, run and recooperate your efforts. The Games have well and truly begun! Find the weapons I have hidden and give the world something to really scream about."

I hadn't gone very far (no more then a couple steps) when the voice shot out through the trees again."Just as in the books, you will engage in an all out brawl until only one of you are standing." An all out brawl? Like, fighting? Oh nonono, they have got the wrong girl here. How do I get out of this place? And what the heck did he mean by the books? "The Hunger Games is tale about death, oppression-"

"Well doesn't that sound plesent," I mumbled sarcastically.

"-and the love of two young teenagers blossoming. Don't let me down Katniss and Peeta."

The sudden voice of a boy startled me and I turned around to find him standing up and challenging the person on the loud speaker. Why hadn't I noticed him before? And now that I'm looking, I see a bunch of other kids standing or sitting in the area, although some of them were lying down, still passed out.

"Oh Marvel, so quick to speak your opinion. You may call my President Snow. For now, I am your master. Currently you are on every screen-" So I was right, this is some kind of game show. -"in this entire Earth, you're lives, you're deaths and you're love being aired out to the fans of the Hunger Games series. You will re-act the Hunger Games with every twist and turn right down to the book so that everyone can enjoy the love I so do feel."

I probably should've felt a little scared, I mean apparently my life was at stake, but all I could think was This guy is luny. Completely and positivle crazy!

Another boy spoke up and "President Snow" told us all that he held our lives in his hands, literally, and that we had better do as we were told or else. Surely not, couldn't he get arrested for that? Especially if this is going to be on screens all over the world, he can't hide it. Some one will help us. Daddy. Yes, that's it! Daddy will get me out of here! If this man is looking for money, my daddy has it. I smiled, reasured that I will be saved, and don't have to play this mad-man's game.

Idiot! You knew one day this was going to happen but no, you just had to keep playing those video games, even after you saw what happened in dot hack and you knew there was a possibility, however remote, of getting trapped in some video game world. But oh, you just couldn't help yourself could you? Well screw you. I'm going to find me a new bain next time and maybe it will calculate the 'incredibly remote' probability more accurately!

Had Isaac been playing video games at the rcade? Of course. Could he remember anything past tha point? No. So it was safe to assume that he'd been sucked into some alternate reality and was going to be late for tea. He booted a rock across the grass. It wasn't fair. Now him mum would think he'd misse the stupid dinner with stupid Chade on purpose. At least he was wearing his incredibly cool t-shirt though. That was som comfort in this strange, new world. Hunger Games. What a strange name for a video game, he didn't think he'd been playing that had he? Lame. He's never even heard of it so it must be pretty shit or uberly top secret.

"Just as in the books, you will engage in an all out brawl until only one of you are standing." Uh hold on now. Books? Idiots. They haven't even kidnapped the right geek. If they want a literary expert, they should really have taken Loki. Isaac felt stupid now which made him really mad. Of course it hadn't been a move into some alternate reality, no. He'd jut been kidnapped by a complete phsychopath. "The Hunger Games is a tale about death, oppression and the love of two young teenagers blossoming. Don't let me down Katniss and Peeta." Uh right, people falling in love and blowing each other's heads off. Someone realy had to tell him that reality didn't work like books and the police would be here son to drag him off to jail.

I raised an eyebrow and stand up. I still wanted to know who I am! There's already a Peeta and a Marvel! Which character am I?

"Wait! Which character am I?" I asked, pretty clueless.

"Ah, Glimmer from District 1. You sound very... spacey. Unlike the glimmer in the book," the voice boomed. I opened my mouth and then closed it. Glimmer? Wasn't she the really mean one? Am I mean? I gasped, then started running. Ivwasnt running for my life, it was for a very different reason. I quickly stopped and rested a hand on a tree and bent down. A displeasing sound came out of my mouth, and greenish puke. I wiped my mouth with my arm and pinched my skin.

C'mon! I thought to myself.

"What the hell?" a voice asked behind me. I turned around.

"Peeta, your tone does not ammuse me." Haha, Peeta... It sounds like the noise a rabid dog makes. Peetagh! "The real Peeta would never act so rash. If you choose not to fight against each other, I will kill you! At push of a button all your lives sit in my hands. Now my precious little tributes, run, run and recooperate your efforts. D'awww, bless him. He was insane. A hug probably would have worked a charm, not that I, or anyone else for that matter could have given the guy one considering we had no idea in hell where he was. Maybe he was actually the trees, or maybe I was the one who'd turned into a crackass. Yeah, that was more likel--hang on... There was no food then? I cursed. And there was me looking forward to some poached eggs.

"Okay, great, good luck with that, but my name's Felix... not Peeta. I know my name makes me sound like I should be a cat, but I'm not, I swear. I like milk though." I paused. "Cat's spew when they eat cow's milk though, don't they? Mine does anyway. Mind you, I'd also fed it some beef jerky earlier on that day... and some spaghetti bolognese."

The man didn't answer me. Arrogant twat. Instead, some blonde girl spoke up and interrupted my lovely conversation with the trees. I was still sitting on the boulder, and by now, I could feel the lumps into it digging into my backside. I winced slightly. I though us benders were supposed to like having things in our backsides. That last thought released a burst of laughter from my mouth. God, I was hilarious.

My laughter was interrupted by the sound of... well, quite frankly, it sounded like there was a choking guinea pig behind me. I figured it wouldn't have been that though. It would have been cool though. I turned my head to see the blonde girl who'd interrupted my conversation with the trees bending down beside a tree, and she seemed to be sharing her breakfast with it. How nice of her. I grinned. I hoped that was the tree that was telling us all to rip each other's heads off. I bet it would have been gutted to have spew all over it. I would have gone over to the girl, but me and puke didn't mix well. Besides, someone else had beaten me to it.

With a sigh, I jumped up off the boulder and finally took notice of the guys around me. Some people were staring all around them with pale faces, although some of them were still on the ground. My grin broadened as I caught sight of two unconscious girls who were lying next to and facing each other. They were only a few steps away. Oh, this will be fun.

In the matter of seconds, I was kneeling down beside the two girls. I was sniggering as I took hold of one of the girls' arm and carefully placed it around the other's waist. I nudged them closer into each other until their faces--or more importantly, their lips--were centimetres apart. After that, I lifted one of their legs over the legs of the other one. I nudged them a bit closer together again. Being extra careful not to disturb them, I rested one of the girls' hand onto the cheek of the other girl. Perfect. I stood up, sniggering.

"Haha! Lesbians."
I didn't know what to put here so I put this.

The magic is only in what books say, how they stitched the patches of the universe together into one garment for us.
