So Mason and I were in agreement. As long as we had to stay like this, we were going to stay away from the other side. Good.

We set up our stuff, than sat down on our beds, looking each other up and down. I had a friendship started with Ethan, but Lance and Mason wouldn't say a word. they just sat there, Lance's eyes flickering between me and ethan, then to mason, then back.

"So," I said, breaking the awkward silence. "I'm Ella. Who are you?"
I looked at Lance and Mason, expecting an answer.

"Well, yeah I'm going to leave now. You know, no matter how long and hard I pray ciggs will never be food. Follow if you want. Don't if you don't," Jax said before putting his sunglasses on again then leaving.

I stood there for a moment, then finally moved my feet and caught up with Jax. We began walking together to a door, where a woman with grey hair stood.

"Welcome to the Academy of Hidden. I'll give you your room numbers," she welcomed. We introduced ourselves to her, and she gave us a piece of paper.

I looked at mine, 173. I leaned in to look at Jax's. It had the same number.

"Might as well look for the room, settle in, then eat," I decided.

I glanced down at my paper and then back over at Scarlett's.

"What the hell kind of operation are they running here," I mumbled to myself. Scarlett turned towards with with that "Jax is crazy look" she'd seemed to adopt in the small time we've been acquainted and I gave her a blank and bored stare in return.

"Were you talking to yourself?"

"Yes," I replied. She tilted her head and shook her head at me. I just pulled out another smoke and shrugged her off. "Is that a problem?"

She didn't answer. I chuckled lowly and ran a hand through my hair. Women. I followed behind Scar in a content silence, my hands clasped behind my head which was thrown back to look a the sky as I walked. It was pretty nice out here actually. Nice skies, fresh greenery.

I'd a special appreciation for nature seeing as I never saw much of it in my life. The only plants growing in the basement were moldy mushroom and some different type of fungus on the walls. Whenever I could be out of that place, even if I had to sneak out, was a "savor the moment" experience and would probably continue to be throughout the rest of my life no matter how "free" I was.

I closed my eyes and sighed, blowing out smoke in front of me. Before I knew it Scar was tapping my shoulder impatiently.

"Yo, Jax! Come on, man." Her voice was angry and I smirked at it.

"What do you want," I drawled.

"You were just in La La Land there, I've been poking you for way too long."

"I zone out. So what?" She narrowed her eyes at me and turned away angrily. I just rolled my eyes and crushed the cigarette bud under my foot. "What's wrong, princess, I step on your gown or something?"

I met her burning glare with my cocky smile. Her forehead bunched up and I pushed the wrinkles on her brow lightly.

"You'll give yourself wrinkles glaring like that," I muttered. She swatted my hand away and huffed, stalking towards the building which I guessed to be our dorm. I followed just behind her, silently humming a song from my iPod. She led the way to the room and paused at the door. I pulled myself out of my song and walked up to stand next to her.

"Well," I asked. She turned towards me and then back at the door, cocking her head to the side.

"You hear something," she asked.

"Nope."

I pushed open the door and walked inside. There were already some kids here and they all looked up at the two of us. Scarlett stiffened and I just pulled out a smoke. Instead of lighting it I just stuck the end into my mouth, even the taste calmed me. And calmness was what I needed. I needed to stay level headed.

Today was turning out to be a very stressful day.

"I'm Mason." She muttered, fidgeting with a ring.

Persephone

"Oh, hello again!" She smiled as Saffy and another boy walked in. "I'm Persephone!"

I gave Persephone a small smile, then looked to Jax, who had an unlit cigarette in his mouth. I looked away and set my eyes on a single bed. I quickly sit on the bed, leaving Jax standing. I noticed another boy with Persephone. I quickly avert my eyes to the clock hanging on the wall.

"Okay, I'm settled in now. Um, I'm Saffy, nice to meet you. I'm going to get food," I said quickly before leaving. I remember Jax saying he was hungry, so I slowly walk back into the room, biting my lip.

"Jax, you coming?" I asked awkwardly. I looked to Persephone and the other boy and gave them a smile.

"If you want, you guys could come too," I offered, with equal awkwardness.

I found the room greatly comfortable, especially when I was sharing the room with two nice girls and a pretty-looking boy. Much to my surprise, I realized that I was making friends. As I followed the girls, I thought over my time with my grandparents. It surprised them that I was a dancer and a master painter. I grinned at this. My paintings back at home were almost like they could come alive at any given moment. If the Academy has an art class, I would gladly show them what I can do.

The girls all decided that it was time to eat and I was in no way complaining. I threw my bags down on the bed closet to me, got yelled at my Scarlett for trying to bunk on the girls side, and switched around.

"That wasn't on purpose," I said to her. She rolled her eyes at me and I smiled. I wouldn't believe me either if I were her. Everyone started out the door, well except for one person. I turned around to one of the other guys rooming in this weird dorm.

"Come on." He looked up at me and nodded.

"Right." He seemed lost I thought. I nodded in understanding and clapped him on the shoulder.

"Happens to me all the time," I mused. I put my hands in my pocket and walked faster, catching up to the group. He caught up soon.

"Wait, what?" I turned back towards him, and raised an eyebrow in confusion.

"The whole reflecting on my past thing. I do it all the time." He gave me a confused look and shook his head. What I was saying really wasn't that hard to comprehend. I grabbed my unlit smoke between my fingers and just held it. Maybe he couldn't understand because I had to talk around it.

"I said that it's okay that you spaced out a bit back there. I do that all the time. Inside of your head is a good place sometimes, I understand." He gave me that same look and I gave up with an apathetic sigh and a small knocking on his head with the back of my knuckles. "Just forget it... it seems as if you already did anyway."

"What are you talking ab-"

"Hey, slow pokes," a soft voice called, cutting Eris off. I looked up and saw Scarlett standing in front of me. I didn't even know she was there. The others were behind her looking impatient.

"Yes, princess?"

"Come on, you two are walking slower than snails. We gotta get a move on."

I bowed lazily and sped up my pace.

(If you can't tell by now, Jax is just a slightly bit messed in the head from seventeen years of solitary confinement. It'll start to show more and more.)

Persephone

"I'm starved!" She tapped her foot playfully, glaring at the boys. "Come on!"

"Sorry." Jaxon chuckled, walking over to the girls.

"What kind of food do they have here?" Saffy asked as they walked to the dining hall.

"All kinds. I think today's Shrimp Suprise. Ew!" Persephone fake-barfed, chuckling.

I'm really confused. How do we all know our dorm numbers? How do we all know who is in the same room? Or have you just dumped yourselves in any random room. I have no opening to start here. What do I do? Who is in what room? Where can I go? o.O

Why did I have to arrive a day later? I scowled, and tapped my foot impatiently. She leafed through the paper on the clip board and bit her lip.
"Errm..." A boy walked past, "What about him?"
"What?" The boy asked.
"You can board with him,"
"What?" I said.

First you can move that to the discussion forum. But right now it would be best to read it all. Then you can just put in your characters in somewhere without to much trouble.

Lance Silverwood

"Umm," I started with some confused, "but I already share a room with three other people."

"Of course you do," she snapped irritably, "but that doesn't change my decision. Each room was originally made to sleep six people. I'm sure you and your roommates can figure something out."

I nodded, feeling really irritated about it. But it wouldn't do to act now, I needed to find out the reasoning behind their actions or they would hold all the guns in the coming war.

I quickly motioned for the girl to follow me and navigated to my room. As I prepared myself for the coming storm I asked the girl what her name was.

"Astral," she replied.

We sat down at a table in the school's cafeteria. It seemed pretty crowded, but in a few minutes, we got our food and sat down. I sipped my drink slowly as I listened to Persephone talking. Then suddenly, there was an awkward silence.

"So, do you have any hobbies or talents," I ask eagerly. Everyone begins thinking, though I couldn't tell if Jax was, since he had his glasses on.

"Um, I'll start. I'm devoted to the violin, cello, piano. I like to dance and practice fighting," I said.

I answered happily, "I'm an artist and a dancer."
Everyone stared at me.
"What? You guys never seen a person like me anywhere?"
Nobody answered.
I gave up on just telling and decided to show them what I was capable of. I got on my feet and started dancing serpent-like. I knew I was being watched, but I needed an audiance to see how well I could dance. I went to Persephone and asked, "May I have this dance?"
