Create a Tumblr for your Main Character

Nate · 2011-07-21T15:44:46Z

I just thought that this was really kind of cool: author Andrew Tolson, who has a book coming out named "The Girl Who Saved Kafka," has started a tumblr called Kafka Girl. I thought this was cool because the tumblr is told from the viewpoint of the main character of the book: http://kafkagirl.tumblr.com/ I don't believe the book has been picked up yet by any publishers, but it's definitely a neat way to go about marketing your novel as well as to develop a better feel for your character.

I made one, but it involved me giving my character an unusual middle name because the url of his original name was already taken... Such is life.

I didn't know what to put here so I put this.

That's a pretty neat idea. I used my MC in a storybook once which was really fun. Anything that helps you get to know them more

I was actually seriously considering making a Twitter for my character, just to snag the username. Perhaps I should look into Tumblr, ~~maybe make one for Jot from HTBD~~. ^_^

Addison Rose's Tumblr! Hopefully I'll be posting up the start of the actual story she's in soon-ish.
