Create a Tumblr for your Main Character

I just thought that this was really kind of cool: author Andrew Tolson, who has a book coming out named "The Girl Who Saved Kafka," has started a tumblr called Kafka Girl. I thought this was cool because the tumblr is told from the viewpoint of the main character of the book:

I don't believe the book has been picked up yet by any publishers, but it's definitely a neat way to go about marketing your novel as well as to develop a better feel for your character.

I've actually seen something similar this on tumblr before, except it was some randomer acting as if she was a character from her favourite TV show... but hey, it's the same kind of idea.

I thought about making a facebook. But now I'm totally making her a tumblr.

I'm seriously considering doing this for the viewpoint character I plan to use for my NaNoWriMo novel this year. ^.^

Right now there's only one post, but I'm going to try to use this blog as a form of interactive outlining since I'll be using these characters for NaNo; posts will be from "her" and "other characters" to get a feel for the world that they're living in
