Rogues and Pets vs. Dolls [closed/starting]

Jared:

Amy walked into the room of my little cottage. A rogue is coming. she said.
"Really?" I said aloud. "Which way?"
From the north. She's at the bottom of the mountain and will be here in an hour or two. Think we should scare her off? I thought for a moment, then shook my head and stood up. Going to go meet her?
"Yes. Might as well." I walked outside, Amy following close behind. "Let's go say hi."

Everlee

Before I knew it, it was only Skylar, Tige, and myself in the street. I tried not to focus on Skylar, but instead looked up to the sky. The sun was already alittle more then half way up and we still had so much work to do before we left. I turned back to Tige.

"Thank you, again for helping us. I wish I had something to give to you to show our appreciation. I'm sorry, I don't" I said.

Tige nodded. "I didn't do it for a reward."

I nodded as well, glad. "I think it is time we left," I said, looking over to Skylar. He nodded and we both began walking towards the cottage.

"Wait," Tige called behind us. I stopped. "Where are you going?"

I shook my head. "I don't know yet, but we have to leave. The soldiers will be back soon and these men aren't willing to keep our secret. There's nothing left for us here." Those last words fell heavy on me, and i felt as if I would sufficate under the pressure.

Elise:

I continued running after Myrtle, until she stopped shortly.

"What's wrong now?" I asked. The rogue is coming, stop here, she spoke in my mind. Not knowing what to do, I took out my katana, and removed the sheath. The blade glimmered in the sun. Ready for a fight, I waited. Bad idea, Myrtle said. I sighed and put it back. We don't know if he is willing to help or not, so use your combat, Myrtle instructed. I clenched my fists, and waited in one spot.

Skylar:

When Elise left us alone, I knew what she intended to do. I look to Everlee and see her looking up to the sky. I laugh to myself. She looks a me.

"Whats so funny?" she asked. I bite my lip before answering.

"It's just that you reminded me Elise when we were little, when you were looking up to the sky," I answered. Elise was more gentle and kinder when we were younger, and when her parents were alive.

Tige:

I listened to Everlee talking about needing to leave, and Skylar talking about his childhood with Elise. I quite agreed with them that these villagers were not friends, they needed to go someplace safe!

Then the realization of the truth almost knocked me down and broke my heart
All these children are alone, it was not just Elise who was orphaned but all of these children. They had no one to protect them, so they banded together and protected each other. I looked back at the village where all those savage dolls lived. I wanted to tear them all to pieces!

“Everlee.” I said at last turning to her speaking gently but serious. “You and your friends need to find someplace safe to go, but have you thought about how you will get there? There are many soldiers on the road and dolls who would try to hurt you.” I saw the burden on Everlee's back grow tenfold.

“No I hadn't thought of that yet.” she whispered, I could hear the tears in her voice.

“Please, let me come with you!” I said suddenly “I have no rouge and I am alone, I promised Emily I would help other rouges if I came across them. I will protect you with my life.” I looked at each of those still there my eyes finally resting on Seena and Skylar. “All of you.” I waited for my answer

Skylar:

"If we're going to look for a new location, than we need Elise and Myrtle," I formed them, and to Tige, it was a yes. Elise was somewhere in the forest, and as a doll, I have no idea how I can reach her.

"She's in the forest isn't she?" Everlee asked. I look around. Tess wasn't in sight.

"Wait, where's Tess?" I asked alarmed. Tess was no where to be found.

Jared:

The other rogue stopped. Amy said.
"How close?" Amy motioned her head down, and I looked to see a beautiful girl, with an owl Pet, some four feet below me. She pulled out her Katana, but then put it away and stood there. Well, time to say hello. I thought to myself, and pushed off my branch.
I fell to the ground in front of the rogue. She jumped back, obviously very surprised that I was there. "Hi." I said, trying to be friendly, but failing. She looked at me half with fear, and half ready to pull her katana back out. "hey, I didn't mean to stardle you. I just wanted to say hi." I was trying to calm her down, but I guess I should have gone back, then dropped dow, and walked into the clearing, like a normal person.
After a minute, the girl looked at me and said, "Who are you?"
"Oh! I'm sorry, my name is Jared Slimsly." I looked at her face. "I know, dumb name." SI could tell she was trying not to laugh. "So, what's your name?" I asked, kind of akwardly.
"Elise. And this is Myrtle. Where's your Pet?"
I looked around, and realized that Amy hadn't jumped down with me. "Amy! Get down here!" She lightly jumped down from one of the trees and walked up next to me. "This is Amy." She nodded her head in greeting.

Everlee

"Tess is fine," I said calmly. I could tell that she had left and probably gone back to the cottage. "She's probably back at the hut packing." I could also tell that there was a doll who had been watching us for a while. But i ignored her. Elise was in the woods. But there was something...

"There is another rogue in the woods," I stated, the realization coming quickly. "He's a wind master." I concentrated for a moment. "He's walking t owards Elise, but I can't tell whether or not he's friendly. I don't think Elise knows either. I think we should go help, just in case."

I looked over to Skylar who had already started walking away. "Everlee, I need your help finding her." I nodded and ran to catch up to him, feeling Tige behind me. Together, the three of us walked quickly into the woods.


Seena

I saw the rogues leaving, one by one, until I was the only one left in the clearing. I followed the last group of people slowly behind. Tige trusted them, but I was a doll, and I still wasn't sure whether or not I could trust them. They seemed nice, but...

They wont hurt you, I heard Tige's voice in my head.

Can you hear everything I think? I asked. There was no response, but somehow, I felt Tige nod. This was so weird.

I stayed a safe distance behind, senceing Tige and following where he was heading.

I could sense Seena was unsure of what to do. I turned around and walked to her. She stopped.

“What?” she said looking concerned. I smiled, grant it my smiles are not the most friendly things to look at, but it's the thought that counts. I turned so she was facing my side.
Tige:

“Get on.” I instructed her. Her mouth fell open.

“You mean get on your back? You want me to ride you?” I chuckled, silly girl. She had saved my life, I owed her a life debt. I would not leaver her side until I repaid that debt.

“Yes. This motley group already has one doll in it I see no reason why another would be anyone's concern. Besides do you think you'd be able to return to your barracks after what you did today? We might not be a natural team of weapon and warrior but I'll protect you with my life.” I nudged her with my muzzle and she slowly clambered on my back. Once settled she giggle nervously.

“If my brother could see me now.” I trotted back to walk abreast of Everlee and Skylar. They seemed only slightly surprised but said nothing. I sniffed the air picking out Elise and that other Rouges sent.

“The other Rouge is male and he means Elise no harm. his sent only seems cautious.”

Tess:

i stood up and began walking. I thought we were going to wait here for everybody else. Nyx said.
"We were, but they aren't coming back here. They're heading out to talk to Jared."
Jared? But they don't know that we know him yet. What if he talks about us?
"I don't see why that would be a problem. I mean, they were bound to find out sooner or later." I said. I grabbed all of the bags and began walking towards Jared's house.
They won't be there, they will be that way. Nyx began flying in a different direction, and I followed her.

(Just to say, Elise wouldn't introduce herself so fast. She would be cautious. But it's fine Icebender!)

Elise:

The boy introduced himself as Jared Slimsly. The name was definitely strange, but I managed not to laugh. I introduced myself after.

"What are you doing here?" he asked.

"I'd like to ask you the same," I replied. He seems nice, but just a little too nice.

"Well, Amy here told me that there's a rogue right here, and led me to you," he said. I shake my head and look at him sternly.

"I was getting game at first, until Myrtle told me the same thing," I said.

Tess:

I had been walking for a long time when I broke into a clearing, Jared and Elise standing together to one side.
"Hey guys!" I said, not very enthustiastic.
Jared turned to me and waved, then went back to his conversation, but Elise turned and called over to me.
I ran over as fast as I could with all of our bags and said, "So, I see you two have met."
Jared forced a smile. "Yeah, I just kind of fell in." Elise laughed.
The others will be here in a minute. Nyx said.
Thanks. I said back. "Hey Jared? Can I talk to you for a minute?" He nodded and followed me across the clearing.
I grabbed his collar and pushed him against a tree. "If you tell anyone that I knew where you were, I promise you, I will destroy your very existence." He looked at me, quite calm for someone against a tree, and then nodded. I dropped him and walked back over to where Elise was standing.
"Myrtle said the others are coming." She said, looking at Jared suspiciously.
"Great! How about we go meet them half way?" I said, trying to pretend that I didn't just threaten someone.

(Jared and Tess don't have a thing, Tess just passes information to Jared and vise versa. They don't like each other, and Tess doesn't want anybody to know that they know each other because she thinks he's an idiot. Hope that's OK!!)

(Nobody's posted for a while, so I'll just post again, if that's alright.)

Jared:

I wondered why Tess hates knowing me. I'm not that bad of a guy. So what if I'm an idiot?
I thought while we walked for maybe thirty seconds until we nearly ran right over Tess's friends. Their swords were out pretty quick, especailly in the limited space we had.
"Hey guys. Breathe, it's just us." Tess said. she sounded grumpy.
"Who's he?" Another pretty girl, though not as pretty as Elise, motioned towards me.
I smiled. "My name's Jared Slimsly, and I'll give you about thirty seconds to laugh." The girl almost giggled, but stopped herself. That's too bad. I bet it would have been a beautiful sound. "And who," I said nodding towards the bear, "might this ferocious looking teddy bear be?" I was trying to be humorous, but I guess being called a teddy bear didn't suit him, because he growled.
"This is Tige. He's a Pet of great strength, so I'd pick my next words carefully." A voice came from among the piles of white fur. A head poked out. Another girl. A doll, I could tell.
"Why hello! I almost didn't see you back there!" I said, putting my hand behind my head, akwardly. With all these pretty girls around, I'll have to try my hardest to seem, well, whatever girls want to call it. Funny? Attractive? Or maybe it was cute? Oh well, I'll let them call me what they want. I thought. All this cuteness was messing up my head!

(Hope I didn't make him too dorky and idiot-ish for your liking!)

Tige:

Teddy bear? did that snotty nosed boy just call me a teddy bear!? I was once the most feared battle Pet in the grand fighting rings, and this child was calling me a toy? Absolutely unacceptable- I wanted to slap him but I knew that might kill him, not a whole unappealing idea mind you, but he was just a foolish child, he must be taught first.

"My name it Tige boy. Would you kindly show me some respect!" I did growl the last bit which I am sorry for. Seena could sense my bristled nerves and sat up as high as she could so the boy could see her.

"I wouldn't do that again." she said to him. "I'm not his rouge I have no control whether he brakes you in half accidentally or on purpose. I'm Seena by the way"

The boy, Jared was his name? turned several shades paler and blushed simultaneously.

"Eh.. Sorry." He rubbed the back of his head self consciously. He kept looking at Seena blushing redder and redder. Here now! this won't do at all. I got close to him and stuck my muzzle right in his face.

"Don't think about it." was all I said. He gulped.


(I hope the idea of a grand fighting ring was okay. I thought the Rouges might have battled their pets in a sportsman like way as a pastime, their Olympics so to speak. Maybe each kind of pet had a different use in these games until they were outlawed?)

Reva Airdronac- name

18 years old

Rogue

She has a long dagger as her pet, and ties her to light. She can turn completely invinsible, stun a person with a flash of light and even permamantly blind them if she is angry enough. Connects to a bengal tiger.

Reva's brown hair falls to her waist when she lets it down and has natural copper highlights. Her eyes are a curious mixture of blue and grey and she has a sweet, heart shaped face. She's shortm about five foot, and thin. If she weren't so vicious most people would put her down as breakable, but she walks with a certainty of who she is.

Reva was abandoned at the tender age of 4, and was taken in by another rogue who saw her using her powers. Old Kaston taught her the art of using the light to disappear and stealing to live. SHe is cold and haughty by nature and is more than willing to kill any doll that rubs her the wrong way. Recently she learned that her birth parents were dolls and is now out to anhiallate(sp?) the entire race for vengance.

Not up for love, but up for friends!

Jared:

This Pet was starting to make me nervous. "Easy now. You got the wrong idea about what I think of her. I'm not saying I don't think she's pretty! Not that I'm looking! I mean I want to look... Wait I don't want to look, I mean....'sigh'" I said in a rush. Seriously, I must have had an overexposer to these girls, cause they were making me go nuts. I could hear Tess giggling behind me, and I would have turned around and gave her a peice of my mind, but that wouldn't help her to like me. "Okay, let me start over." I sighed again and held out my hand for Seena to shake. "I think your name's very pretty, and it's nice to meet you. And on a stranger's favor, please forget everything I said just now." I smiled sheepishly. She didn't take my hand, but nodded.
"Okay! Introductions! Teeaaaaa....Elise! Would you please?" I almost said Tess! That would imply that I knew her! She shot me a look that confirmed I had gotten that close to dying.
"Okay..." Elise said, staring at me funny. "This is Everlee and Skyler." I reached out to shake their hands, but they didn't take it...again. I pulled it back and gave a very akward smile.
"Nice to meet you all!"
