"That's really cool," I said, stopping so I could stay in line with them. "I wish I travelled.. my... my town, when they realised I could control ... elements, they wouldn't let me leave," /Why am I telling him this?/ Some part of me hissed, /You hardly know him!/ But I *wanted* to tell him.
"Why?" Rain asked.
"They thought, they thought it was wrong, that is was /wicked/. I ran away, I wanted to be free,"
"Like a Wolf," Wolf said, and I smiled.
"Exactly like a wolf, free, solitary; perfect," The thoughts quickly turned sour. I hated my town for keeping me locked away. I rubbed my arm, remebering the scars- physical and mental ones. Wolf was looking at me stranley. Talk about animal instincts.
"What?" I said, smiling. He shruged and I pulled the sleeve of my top down further, subconciously. He noticed. Then somehting happened, that cut of Wolf's reply, something non of us expected.....

*I'll gladly take up that torch (lol). For now Leo is still fairly far away so any interaction will be long distance.*

Leu de Ardere- Leo:

Leo drove along the road. Pushing his bike faster and faster as he headed towards his brother. As he drove his anger mounted. Wolf had brought other people into the game. That couldn't be allowed. Wolf was his playmate, his only friend. Bringing others onto the playing field was against the rules.

Snarling Leo shot around a corner, brakes squealing. The sparks trailing behind him darkened rapidly and shot into the sky, the firebolts growing quickly in both size and heat as the preceded Leo towards his brother.

Lup Eoliene- Wolf:

Wolf froze in the pouring rain as he felt the air stir around him. Suddenly the rain misted to steam as the group was hit by a wave of blistering heat. Swearing Wolf grabbed Lidz and Rain and pulled them under cover as the first of the black firebolts shot down on them through the clouds.

Fire, black as the night fell from the sky. Following this group was a bad idea. A very bad idea. I loathe fire I pulled a blanket of water around me instinctively to protect myself. The water felt calm and reassuring on my skin, but I didn't have time to enjoy it now. It wasn't enough to protect me if one of those hit me directly. i ducked for cover.

I cowered next to Wolf, his hand on my arm dragging me further under cover. The black bolts flew from the sky. I pushed Wolf out of the way, standing on the fringe of the trees.
"What are you doing?!" Wolf hissed. My hands began to crackle with purple fire. He realised what I was about to do. "Don't!"
Wolf froze, as did Rain, and the bolts. I quickly ducked under a low hanging tree.

*Maybe you could change it a little, I was hoping to use the attack to that everyone could use their powers. And I want to give Wolf time to explain his 'evil twin' to the others.*

Two blocks from his lair

Something was bothering the other Elementals, it was written in their voices. I had the suspition that someone was here. With a resighed sigh, I cracked my knuckles and time itself froze. I called, "C'mon, my friends! Follow me before I get lose my grip!" With the others following closely, I led them to my lair. Once the last person was inside, I let time go to resume its course. I collapsed on the couch, winded and tired.
Lily asked me if I was alright.
I nodded, then went to rest my eyes. My power over fire was less consequential than my power over time. When I use time, I become too weak and too tired to do anything. When I used fire, the effects depend on how much I use.

*OOC- I was thinking that there should be some kind of consequence for the use of their elements. If anybody thinks that's a bad idea, just let me know.*

*Leo tends to use his elements in tandem, using his power over heat to amplify the destructive capacity of fire. And I agree that there should be at least some drawback to using their powers. But I think the secondary element should have a stronger backlash.*

Lup Eoliene- Wolf:

They dashed inside before the bolts started to hit the ground. The others collapsed in the living room of the house but Wolf ran past them up the stairs to the second floor. He heard the others call after him as he threw open the windows to stare out over the trees. The rain was still falling hard. Strong enough to put out most of the black fire-bolts.

But four of them were large and strong enough that simple rain wouldn't put them out. Wolf remembered the last time Leo had lost it, the sand lot where their extended family had gathered was incinerated. The motor homes and bodies reduced to ash and the ground turned to glass. If those fire-bolts hit the trees the forest would go up in flames, and it could all to easily spread to the small city not far off.

Wolf narrowed his eyes as he focused. Gathering the air currents together into a single screaming vortex. The mini-twister howled through the sky as it hit one of the fire-bolts, the intense winds shredded the flames. Scattering it into black sparks that were swiftly extinguished.

Wolf gasped as he felt the familiar light-headedness that came with using his powers. He shook with the effort to remain standing. Wolf had been flying for most of the day, that vortex had tapped him out. But there were still three fire-bolts left...

*I figure some of the others could take out the other fire-bolts.*

Rain:
Wolf got one of the firebolts, but there's still three, and he's collapsed on the floor by the windows. I summon all the raindrops into one, as much water as I can manipulate, and force it toward the other fire-bolts. It extinguishes two and makes one so small it can't cause harm in the rain. The use of my element to such an extent makes me dizzy and nauseous.
"Can I lie down somewhere?" I ask. The red closes over my vision, followed by the black, and I hit the floor.
A falling star fell from your heart and landed in my eyes. I screamed aloud as it tore through them and now it's left me blind.

On the couch, in his lair

I barely had enough strength to last me a good twenty minutes. I was still too weak to get up, so I rested more.

Auntie Bastet was cooking lunch when I showed her what I could do. I crossed my eyes and a candle was lit with a grey flame. Auntie was surprised with my demonstration. She held me in her arms and said, "My little Razi, you have become an Elemental."
I asked Auntie, "What's an Elemental?"
Auntie answered me, "A human who controls an element. You control fire. You have become a Fire Elemental." She hugged me sweetly. "My little Razi is a Fire Elemental."
I smiled happily. I was used to the name Auntie called me. She was all I had of my mother. I may have been white, but I never minded the black name that Auntie gave me.

OOC: This might happen to Arthur from time to time. Also, the name Razi is an African boy's name for "secret."

*Leo's side effect isn't physical it's emotional. Although he's already so mentally unstable it doesn't really make much of an impact.*

Leu de Ardere- Leo:

Leo gazed down the long stretch of highway as if he could conjure up his brother out of the air. Unfortunatly that was a trick he wasn't capable of. Snarling, Leo crushed the empty can of beer in his hand. Without thought he generated enough heat to melt the can into slag.

He brushed strands of bloody red hair out his eyes as he walked back to his bike, boots crunching in the gravel. The map Leo had checked at the pit stop confirmed there was a city not far from here. Leo knew how fast his fire-bolts traveled. He knew when he had created them, and when they had been destroyed. Simple math told him Wolf's location quite easily.

When his fire-bolts had been snuffed Leo had sensed it. He'd recognized the 'taste' of Wolf's air abilities. But that other one, he wondered which one of the new toys had done that. The ability had felt... wet.

"No matter. I'll find out when I get there. And when I do there'll be hell to pay." Leo thought as he kicked his bike into gear and took off down the road. He'd catch with Wolf in a little under two hours.

*The group has two hours to recooperate and argue... er, discuss a plan of action. Wolf will explain about his brother just as soon as he drags himself downstairs.*
