Lidz:
Yellow light streamed from my fingers, power coursing through me. It was part pain, part excitment and thrill that caused me to scream. I leant my head back and threw my hands out as bright light spilled between my fingers and head, until the glow absorbed me and I was left on my hands and knees.
I screamed: it was full of fear this time, because wind whistled through the clearing and whipped my hair aorund my face. A twister loomed in front of me, and trees were uprooted from the ground. I gasped and formed a protective ball of light around myself, and the twister passed over me. I'd been closer to the cabin than I'd thought. I saw a shock of black and white smudged against the floor of the destroyed house, and I rushed towards it.
"Wolf? Wolf? Are you OK?" he looked up. He looked different, somehow, more defined, more alive. As for me, I felt brighter, like an old TV plugged into HD, clearer and sharper.
I smiled and dropped to my knees in front of him.
"I don't know what I would of done if I'd lost you," I whispered, staring into his eyes. From the corner of my eye, I noticed Eve rushig towards the forest, staring at a purple cacoon that I suspected was Arthur, even from here I could feel his imprint humming from the cacoon.
I turned back to Wolf and smiled. "I'm so glad you're OK," I said.
