Lidz¬

I nod. "That makes sense, but I have a better idea," I quickly told them.
"You intend on going back to your Dad's crazy phycopathic town?" I nod once again.
"We might find some clues,"
"Since when did we become the new Mystery Inc?"
I laughed. "Since now,"

Rain:
The sword of elementals... the name stirs something inside me as everything goes louder, then silent. My power is growing stronger, I can hear any sound, I feel like I'm floating in the air, like the air is water. I'm suspended in a dreamlike state for a moment, no cares, no fears.
Then the moment ends. Somehow I know I'm more powerful, but I wish I could return.
Because the memory that is replaying in my head is worse than the nightmares.
I dive into the water when I hear the voices and the footsteps, the screaming of a young girl, drawing all the bubbles in the water together so I could breathe. I could always see clearly underwater because of my water element. Her face came down into the water on the other side of the lake. Her screams carried on through the water, mainly because I let them.
The icy chill of the water pressed in around me. I condensed the sound of the screaming and used it like a weapon. It cut throught the waves, pulling me along with it. In the air, it carried me up and far from the lake. No one noticed, they were too intent on the poor girl.

I used to think that dream wasn't real, that it was just a dream. But the girl strongly resembles someone I don't really like, but I tolerate her just the same. And now I pity her, because I know a bit more of her past.
The girl is Lidz.

(OOC: Sorry, it's all I got right now. I'm really tired for some odd reason... If you don't like it, I'll delete it. Her more powerful element is sound, just so you know. She reached the full extent of her powers.
A falling star fell from your heart and landed in my eyes. I screamed aloud as it tore through them and now it's left me blind.

*I am now going to try to revive this thing before it dies completely. I will post as Wolf shortly.*

Leu de Ardere- Leo:

The man sprawled in his favorite armchair in front of a crackling fire. A glass of wine held carelessly in his hand. In the background he could hear the faint droning of a television. He wore black slacks, and a black silk shirt with the sleeves rolled up. A pair of sunglasses covered his eyes despite the dim lighting.

Glancing over at the fire he smiled grimly as the flames roared upward twisting around themselves. They did not scorch the hard wood floors. Quickly fading away to leave Leo standing where the flames had been.

Leo grimaced and waved his hand dispelling the smoke that still wreathed his body. Laughing, Ric raised his wine glass in a mocking salute. Gesturing for Leo to take a seat. His voice was deep and gravelly, grating on Leo's nerves as he spoke. Ric had always given him the creeps. "This is a surprise. I thought you hated Flaming. You said the dislocation made you nauseous."

"It does." Leo scowled. "Still, some things are more important then my personal comfort. I'm cashing in the favor you owe me. You already know why I'm here Ric."

Reaching up Ric grinned as Leo was unable to hide his flinch on seeing the man's eyes. Their was no white or iris. They were simply black pits, like looking into the void of space. Yet Leo knew Ric could still see perfectly well. "Of course I do." Ric noted. "I know everything. But you still have to ask the question Leu de Ardere. It's in the rules."

Leo ground his teeth together in frustration. He loathed Oracles. Even the good ones seemed to make it their mission in life to drive people crazy. And Ric was anything but good. The man had a direct line to the darkest forces in existence. "How do I match the power of the Elemental Incarnates?" He demanded.

Ric threw back his head and laughed at Leo's frustration. "Is that really all you want Leu de Ardere?" He asked and then answered his own question. "No, it's not all you want. But it's certainly a start. Very well. You will have your answer."

"All you have to do is follow in the steps of the very first Incarnates. They gained their rather extraordinary gifts by making a Pact with the Original Source. The spiritual energy that runs through everything magical. The elementals have always been it's favorite. Their magic is more primordial. Closer to the power of Creation then other kinds."

Leo's lip curled and he bared a fang. "That's not exactly an option for me Ric. The Source only makes Pacts with 'pure' beings. And as you're aware, I'm well and truly fallen."

Ric shook his head in a patronizing gesture. "Not that Source Leu de Ardere, the other one. The Original Source is divided into two diametrically opposed halves. One is light and goodness, the other is darkness and evil. They exist in constant conflict with one another yet neither can survive without the other. If one will not accept you, the other will."

Brow furrowed in confusion Leo studied Ric out of the corner of his eye. "That sounds awfully familiar somehow."

Ric shrugged casually. "It should. It's your life. Occasionally twins that are like that are born to magical races. A direct reflection of the twinned Sources. One good, one bad. Your brother inherited the Wind Pact with the Light Source. If you wish to match the Circle's strength all you have to do is make a Pact with the Dark Source.

*Flaming is an ability that Leo made up. A form of fire-based teleportation. The user is engulfed in intense flames. And when the flames dissapear the user does as well. Leo has a theory that all powerful elementals have a form of element-based teleportation. Another example: is Wolf's wind-based teleportation. Whirling- the abilty to teleport throught wind and air that resembles tornado's.*

*OOC: All right. We're back in business!*
Arthur Thomastien

I meditated on what Mia said. The Sword of Elements, created by Incarnates by mistake and used against them like someone else built it. That sent shivers down my spine, but it was one of the few clues we had with us. For all I could know, the Sword had to be heavily guarded by someone who was willing to die protecting it. But question is where to look.

Eve:
Lidz suggested going to her Dad's town. That's probably the last place any of us would want to go, but it was a start. I sighed.
"Are you sure you can go back there, Lidz?" I asked, looking her in the eyes. She nodded.
"Lead the way," I said.

Lup Eoliene- Wolf:

Wolf coughed and slid Lidz a questioning look. He had to hand it to her. As gauling as it must be for the others to set foot in such a bigoted town it had to be ten times worse for Lidz "Just where is your hometown anyways?"

Sighing Lidz jerked a thumb in a roughly southern direction. "A few hours that way by car."

"Your kidding right? That'll take forever to walk. None of us has a car and last I checked we couldn't really afford the risk of public transport. Or did you guys forget about the humans Leo teamed up with?"

Eve:
"We could travel by boat," I suggested, "There's a river running in about that direction a little ways back."
"None of us have a boat, either," Wolf said.
"We could borrow one," I said, "Or make one."

Eve:
Storm nodded.
"And it would probably make Leo hesitate a little bit before he came near us." I smiled at the thought of the unlimited power source of the river.

I knew I had to follow the Circle, but I never really knew how to swim. A decade on the streets have made me easy to drown. I couldn't tell the Circle- or my sweet Eve- that I was afraid of drowning. My ghostfire can't withstand use when in the rain. This I knew from experimentation when I was nine. It was a very rainy day and I was cold. I tried to use my ghostfire to warm myself up, but the rain hindered the flame. I had to find shelter in order to stay dry and warm when it rains. I shivered at this memory.
Eve asked, "What's wrong, Razi?"
I admitted, "If the makeshift boat were to turn over, I can't swim to save myself. I'll drown."
The rest of the Circle stared at me.
"I've been on the streets since I was eight, on the day my aunt was shot. I never really knew how to swim."

Eve:
I picture being in the middle of a lake of fire, and felt for Razi. So that idea was out. I wouldn't let Razi suffer that, if I couldn't suffer the same in return. I squeezed his hand.
"Any other ideas then?" I asked.

I shrugged my shoulders. I had no ideas at all. Considering that many of us in the Circle have different weaknesses- both physical and Element-wise respectively- and I was basically a part-time Alpha of this pack, I couldn't put my finger on what to do without surfacing the weaknesses of both the Circle and myself to Leo. It was already known to the Circle that I can't swim. What I didn't tell them was that I was also useless when I'm wet for a long period of time. So even if the Circle saved me from drowning, I couldn't use my ghostfire until I was completely dry. If Leo were to know my two weaknesses, then I was doomed even as an Incarnate of Fire. I knew I was just slowing everyone down, so I waited until the others were asleep to make my move. I gave Eve a gentle kiss on her cheek and started running off on my own. I couldn't let myself hinder the others from stopping Leo, so by going on my own I could relieve them of a burden which is my fear of the water and uselessness when I'm wet. I hid in the woods, then climbed up a tree to completely disappear from view. As I sat on a branch, tears went down my face. I knew why, but I had to do something to protect the others from getting caught on my account. It was either leave to protect the Circle or stay and end the journey when it hardly ever began.

Eve:
I'm surrounded by water. I feel the water in my lungs, purer than air could ever be. I see a figure in the distance. It's Razi. I move towards him. He smiles at me. I hold his hands. I feel completely at home. This is where I belong, in the water, with Razi. He opens his mouth to speak. No words come out.
He starts choking. He can't breathe. He drops like a rock. I try to pull him up. I swim towards the surface. The water seems to be fighting me. He's so heavy. He's looking at my face, frightened. He's loosing contiousness. I can feel his heartbeat slowing. I have to save him. He can't die. But the harder I try, the farther away the sky seems. Finally, I feel his heartbeat stop.
"Noooo!" I scream. I sit up. It was just a dream. I turn towards where Razi was sleeping. He's gone.

I just want to be the side character in a book that basically steals the whole series.
