"Hey, you two bozos!" I whipped around at the sound of the voice, clenching my fists and settling into a fighting stance. It took me a moment to realize he was above us. In the air vent.
"I take it you don't know that you're arguing in the middle of the recreation quarters for the scientists in this wing. There are probably at least a dozen of them behind those doors, maybe more." He said.
"How do you know that?" I whispered back. I forced myself to stay in place, though my instincts were screaming to run. Fight or flight, or whatever. "How do I know I can trust you?"

(OOC: Imagine the testing chambers looking like something out of Portal, white and sterile
Image)

Leroy Jenkins

In front of me stood two smallish robots, each one having plasma pistols in lieu of hands. The plexiglass shield in front of me slowly began to rise up so I could test against these newer, improved combat drones. I took the supplied plasma rifle off my back and checked the armor I was wearing to ensure I was safe. Then, the plexiglass was up and energy bolts crackled through the air around me. I leaped over a low wall and ducked behind it. I checked my rifle once more and rolled out of cover, firing in short, controlled bursts at the small metal machines. They collapsed, smoking holes where their primary CPUs once were.

I ran up to them and tore the pistols away from their arms and strapped them to myself. They were running low on juice, but they still had a good bit of power left in them. I made my way to the test chamber's exit. There was a guard there. He took away my weapons, and I was following him down the hall. then, I pulled the homemade knife from my boot and plunged it into his throat. I took my weapons back and started down a random hallway, where I say two teens arguing with the ceiling.

"How do I know I can trust you?"

I dropped to my knee and leveled my plasma rifle at his head.

"You can't. It's the ceiling. They can neither be trusted or distrusted. I knew they did drug testing here, but what the hell did they give you?"

(OOC: awesome)
Aaron

Great. Now there was a guy pointing a gun at me. This was so not my day.

"You can't. It's the ceiling. They can neither be trusted or distrusted. I knew they did drug testing here, but what the hell did they give you?" he said.

"They didn't give me anything. Ceilings have air vents and this one just so happens to have someone in it." I held my hands up, palms out, just in case he didn't like my answer. "And why the hell are you pointing a gun at me?"

*As stated in his profile Judd was born and raised as a test subject. The natural curiosity of a child eventually gave him an almost perfect idea of the layout of the main facility.*

Judd Snow:

Judd smirked triumphantly at the two, make that three now, escapees below him. "How do I know I can trust you either?" He shot back interupting the argument. The newcomer jumped at his voice and looked up, eyes widening as he spotted Judd.

Rolling his eyes Judd pointed out. "I'm in an air vent." Judd pointed out sarcastically. "Odds are I'm doing something the white coats wouldn't aprove of. Like oh... Escaping. At least I had the good sense to find away to avoid people. Instead of strolling down the corridors like I own them."

The three below him looked both insulted and embarrased at that point. The white haired one spoke up. "How did you get in there anyway? The vents are hermetically sealed. No one can get in them, I checked."

"Not, to me. So you guys interested in a leg up, or do we go our seperate ways?" Judd asked. Opening one more vent wouldn't tire him and allies with the guts to escape themselves could be useful.

"I would be, but I happen to have a gun pointed at my head right now, so moving at the moment might not be a very good idea." I glanced up at him. "But if I'm alive in five minutes I might take you up on that."

By the time that the guard came to pick me up and bring me to an observation room, I was already feeling dizzy. He grabbed me by my arm and pulled me along.
"Why did I ever sign up for this job?" He sighed annoyed while dragging me down the halls as if I was a piece of trash.
Focus, Xia. Focus.
The world was slowly turning around me while I hobbled behind the guard and tried not to fall.
"Please..slow down."
The voice that I heard didn't sound like my own voice at all. Focus, just focus!
The guard didn't pay any attention to me and started walking even faster than he did before.

Drustan:
"Alright. You guys, maybe we should all just calm down. I'm thinking that we're all here for the same thing - escaping - since none of us are dressed in a white coat. So, lets follow the smart guy who came out of the vent since he seems to have a plan. 'Kay?"

I glanced around, still nervous about what the air-vent-guy had said about the white-coats behind the doors around us.

The guy in the air vent started giving me attitude. I popped a bolt of plasma in the air vent, close enough to scare him, but not close enough to harm him. I could hear him jump up and bash his head against the inside in fright.

"I'm pointing a gun at you because I don't think I can trust you."

I caught the brown headed kid eying the guns strapped to my chest. I pulled it off and tossed it to him.

"Here. Lets go up into the vents with the smart ass."

I tossed one to the white haired kid too, then fired a couple more bolts into the vent, leaving a hole in it. I jumped up and pulled the other two in with me.

Judd Snow:

Judd scowled at the guy who had shot at him. Irritably he sent a jolt of electricity shooting down the shaft at him. Not enough to hurt. Just make him swear and his hair stand on end.

They glanced at him in surprise and Judd smirked. "A permament side effect of one their experiments. It's also why I don't need weapons, I am one. So don't shoot me again." He warned. Judd glanced back down at the hole in the vent and grimaced. "We won't be able to hide the fact we've gone into the vents. But these things go everywhere in the complex, it's a maze up here they'll never be able to guess where we'll come out."

"You coming, or what?" He backed away from the hole, and set off back down the shaft.

Drustan:
Well, I felt a bit better now that I had a plasma gun. Of course I really didn't have much background with weapons as my testing was mostly drugs... Who knew if it would actually work? And where did this guy find them? How could we be sure he was really on our side...?

I shrugged. There was really only one thing to do - follow him. So, I crawled after Aaron, who was crawling after him.

"So," I whispered, trying to get up a bit of conversation, "what're you guys's names?"

(OOC: ooh, I missed a lot :()

Aaron

I shrugged, pocketed the gun, and crawled in after them. The air vent was kind of cramped, with so many people in it. It made me feel claustrophobic.

I sighed as I sat down on my bed and inspected myself for serious injuries. Just a couple bruises and cuts. The only thing that was major was a laceration across my shoulder where the stupid machine almost got me. Great, just great. Becasue of this freakin laceration, I would have to take a visit with a guy they call Doc. All he does is just barley fix me up and then throw me back in the testing room again to become targets for those freakin war machines. I sighed again as I laid back in bed and waited for the stupid people to hull me out to go see the Doc.

Vi:
I was back in my cell. They were mad at me for punching the guard, and were taking away my food for the day. That's okay. The food's awful anyways. The punch felt good. I haven't punched a guard in awhile. I keep thinking back to that boy in the hallway. Where is he? Did he escape? Is he feeling the sun on his fingertips? Probably not. He's probably been caught. But he has a chance. And that's good enough for me. Uhhgg why was I worrying so much about that boy in the hallway, it didn't affect me, not my problem, I've done all I could. I looked up as I heard some sort of metal clanking, and there was nothing. GREAT! Now I'm hearing noises in my head, just my luck! This place is actually suceeding in making me go insane... again. I decided I'd try taking a nap to clear my head.
