Sorry about the boring title, but I couldn't think of anything else :)

This one took me the longest to draw out of my recent portraits, as I have never drawn a roaring dragon before, plus all of those scales. But I like how it turned out.

I did this over a spread of school days, whenever I had free time. I used a mechanical pencil.

*** I MEANT for the eyes to be really small, for it is part of the dragon's features and adds to his personality, so no need to point out that his eyes are very small (and almost nonexistent) lol.

Here are some of my other dragon portraits:

I was looking at this and I think it is AMAZING!!!! and nothing short. My brother and his girlfriend also have a deviant art porfile and I've seen their work and I thought it was amazing. Your dragon definintely beats their stuff. I also love the detail and attention you put into the scales and the ridges in the mouth.

Wow! I love it! I love the way he jumps off the page. It is amazing that you can do this kind of work with a mechanical pencil.

Keep it up,

Wow, epic. I didn't know that you could draw that good. I can hardly do a scrape on a piece of paper. In fact, me an paper only get along when I am writing. I love the detail of the scales and the way its tongue has the drops of saliva. Weirdly resembles a dragon I once met.

Wow, this is really good. I'm not an artists, but this is amazing. This is a really amazing drawing of a dragon, I suggest, if you can, to add some color. I know the point is the sketch look, but I think this one would be even better in color. I see red or green, but like I said, I'm not an artist.

This is amazing! All of the scales and cracks must have taking you forever to draw! I envy your patience :). And my goodness those teeth!! They look so real and sharp. The shading aswell and the way you've drawn the pallet.
The compilments don't stop. This is an amazing peice! Even if I saw a real dragon (which is very unlikely ha!) it wouldn't even look as awsome as this!

Fantastic! When the picture popped up on my page, I jumped a little, it's very realistic :) The scales seemed like they took quite a while- kudos! The shading is also even and well done. I also like the muscle detail on the neck. Good job.

It's times like this I really wish I had the patience to learn how to draw! I love how you've taken the time to draw and shade each and every scale on the dragons body; it makes it look a lot more realistic. It would be nice perhaps if you could put some of it in colour, such as the flames just to give it that extra effect. Really well done, and keep drawing!
