Note: Woops, we posted at the same time. I'll fix that x)

Emma

Another Darkling had stepped out and had started talking to the Darkling. He hadn't seemed to notice my tap on the shoulder. I lowered my hand and reconsidered, not sure how I wanted to deal with the two of them. I suddenly heard Brady mutter "ouch" and both of them spun around. I wanted to shriek and run away, but I planted my feet.

Brady mumbled out embarrassed, and I took his hand and squeezed it slightly to reassure him as the male Darkling put headphones in. I frowned at him for being rude. But the girl seemed interested.

"Hi, there aren't many of us around here. What brings you two here?" I said, cheeks flushing. It had just gotten a lot colder.

"A baseball game that got cancelled. And ignore him, he's rude. I'm Leah." she smiled.

"I'm Emma and ..." I said, pausing before I said Brady's name. "I'm sor-rry, I'm not sure what I wanted stopping you two."

"Not to worry!" she said, pulling the earbuds out of the male Darkling's ear "That's Ean."

"What? She's a darkling. it's not like she's working with the Imp you're traki- Oops" she stuttered out.

Ean didn't look pleased at all. I turned to Brady and whispered, "Maybe we should get out of here if there are Imps around."

Ugh, first Leah barged in on me, now this other Darkling and a pathetic human. A Seer by the looks of it as well. I blasted my music; trying to phase off once more. Leah proceeded to rip them out of my ears.

"That's Ean" she said gesturing to me. Why would she tell them that? I thought irritably.

"What? She's a darkling. it's not like she's working with the Imp you're traki- Oops" Leah stuttered out.

Great, now to strangers know who I am and what I'm doing. I've always had problems with other Darklings, obsessing over those pathetic humans. Emma turned to the kid and whispered, "Maybe we should get out of here if there are Imps around."

"It's fine, The one I was tracking is long gone" i said my voice bearing a cold bitter tone.

The kid looked around and suddenly froze cold. "Were you tracking a male Imp?" he asked. Quick as lighting I was up and looking in the direction that the kid was. An Imp was talking to some girl by the fountain under an umbrella.

"Not the one I was on the trail of, but someone I;m about to be" I said and drew the long silver dagger concealed in my sleeves out. Leah was up by my side in an instant.

"Remember, protect the girl; don;t let her see anything"

"Yah, yah" I said and took off towards the fountain.

Leah

"Excuse me, both of you!" I hissed. "We are in a park, for god's sake!"

"It's raining. No one is here."

"Someone could see!"

He huffed. "I don't have to deal with this!" He exclaimed, storming off.

"Yeah, you do!" the other girl yelled.

"Calm down Ean!" I said.

" No! That's an imp!"

"And apparently, you're an idiot as well!"

"I'm a free darkling, i can do what i want!"

"Fine, but don't blame me when you get in trouble for something!" I yelled as he stormed off.

"Men." I huff to Emma.

I held my umbrella up, even though I was already soaked through. I had to admit though, he was awfully cute. I didn't let my attraction show. As a person who was great at hiding her emotions, I was also great at seeing them. He didn't seem impressed, he actually seemed kind of... disappointed. I was soon going to get a shirt that said 'Adelina, disappointing people since 1992~' that I could wear around.

"I don't mind the rain really, I hate missing my daily walk more." I replied, nodding.

He smirked and nodded knowingly. It seemed neither of us knew what to say. Something seemed off about him... like I should know something about him that was blatantly obvious. It was going to bug me until I figured it out. I looked up to him, tilting the umbrella back to be splashed in the face by the oncoming rain.

"I'm sorry, but... do I know you from so-" I was cut short, a rather scary looking male was coming towards us. Something glinted in his hand. My gut twisted and I gripped the man's arm. "He's looking at you." I shuttered in a half panic, my eyes not lifting from the threatening character.

Brady

My stomach turned, abruptly.

"Emma," I murmured, teeth chattering. "We have to stop him..."

"He's an imp," she sighed. "And he could hurt you."

"But he doesn't need to die..."

The object of everyone's attention - the imp - now turned his eyes towards the approaching Darkling, his eyes alight in amusement. A smirk was clearly visible across his cheeks. The only word that really came to mind when you looked at him was 'buff'.

"We should go," Emma murmured softly, her pallid cheeks flushed at the sight of danger. "Brady, its not safe here."

I nodded but made no move to go. What was unfolding had been my greatest nightmare and, when it really came down to it, I had to admit, it was hard to turn away. Like a train wreck. You want to because of the horrible severity and yet you just can't.

Leah

I groaned. "They won't stop if we do nothing about it!" I yelled, grabbing both of their wrists and dragging them. With them trailing behind me like banners, we rushed up to the other kid- a human female.

"What the hell is-"

"No time, just get away! They're going to fight, unless we do something... think, Leah, THINK!"

"Maybe we can... um... Get a Police Officer!" Someone exclaimed. I think it was Brady.

"What good will it do if they kill each other in prison, instead of here?" Someone else put in. Ean was slowly making his way towards the imp, as if it didn't already see him.

"Well, this is the time to act!" The new girl screamed, before stepping between them with her hands held out towards each other the boys. The imp seemed shocked, and Ean seemed outraged.

"Get the hell out of my way, you stupid girl!" Ean demanded, showing his weapon.

"No! Take your fight somewhere else!" she screamed, over the downpour of rain that had began to stream down.

"I'll kill you! GET OUT OF MY WAY!" Ean screeched. Dropping Emma and Brady's hands, i stepped in next to her.

"Stop it! Someone is going to see you and one of you will be sent to death row! If anything, I'll be the one to call the cops!" I pulled out my phone threateningly.

The Imp had noticed me, as well as the girl next to her.

"FIne but don't blame me when you get in trouble for something!" Leah yelled over my shoulder. I didn't care. All I could here was the blood pounding in my ears and the thumping of the Imps black twisted heart. One good thrust should do the trick. The girl looked scared; if only she knew that I was the one trying to save her.

I reached them pretty soon and said to the Imp "Hey pal, long time no see, we should go catch up" The imp looked at me darkly. The girl looked confusingly between both us.

"You know him?" The girl said; gripping the Imp's arm.

"No never seen this man in my life" said the Imp. The bloody demon; he just had to make things difficult. Amusement sparked behind his eyes.

I was about to attack when the stupid she-Darkling from before popped out of no where and shouted ""No! Take your fight somewhere else!"

I wasn't paying attention to anything else. All I was aware of was the blood pumping in my ears and the red pouring in at the corner's of my eyes. I couldn't remember the last time I was this focused on the kill.

"I'll kill you" I shriek at the Imp. "GET OUT OF MY WAY!" I shove the girl aside and readied my dagger.

Leah pulled into my vision.""Stop it! Someone is going to see you and one of you will be sent to death row! If anything, I'll be the one to call the cops!" she pulled out her phone threateningly.

I laughed. "Like a few fat NYPD are a match for me" and with that tackled the Imp. He was a strong one, with bulging muscles, and he didn't quite go down as expected. We grappled for a minute, my blade passing just centimeters from his giant protruding throat.

I dimly heard Leah and the girls screaming, but paid no attention. Suddenly I felt the clenched fist of the Imp hit my stomach. I fell backwards and stumbled. The Imp snatched the dagger from me and pushed once more. I fell into the fountain and hit my head hard on the rim. The last thing I saw before black overtook me was the dwindling form of the Imp as he sprinted away, my knife in his hand.

Sorry, I have school and shtuff, so yah. I'm here now.

Titus

Damn Darklings.

This one was particularly vicious, but a good knock to the gut seemed to keep him under control. It was a pity though. It meant Titus had to make a swift exit, and had to leave the poor girl abruptly. He felt bad for giving her a scare, but unfortunately it came with the job. He gripped the knife in his hand as he slipped into Oblivion, away from them all. A tad bit disappointing.

But the veil was weak with all these Darklings, and he could still see a glimpse of them before he decided to drift away. His attention was soon caught by a small frail boy. He was a human. The child's essence was so pure and so innocent, and his life was weak. Titus almost felt drawn to him. It was the perfect prey.

There were too many Darklings around though at this moment, so Titus slipped farther away from reality. He would return.

--------------

I'll bring myself in somewhere else soon enough.

Brady:

The Imp was gone.

I turned my eyes towards Emma, the feeling in my stomach dissipating to a small purr from the aftermath. My limbs felt leaden and my a sheen of sweat covered my forehead. I should have gotten home a long time ago. To leave now, though, when there were Darkling's here... ones that I had never seen before too... yes, I couldn't leave now. This was more exciting than anything else.

The girl Darkling looked at human girl who had been speaking with the imp, her eyes filled with worry. "You okay?"

The girl seemed confused. "Well, yeah, I guess."

The male with the headphones was retreating now, obviously escaping the scene he had caused. Of course, I wasn't willing to end this now. I needed to know. I needed to understand. "Hey, you!"

He flicked his eyes in my directions, the perturbed look on his face something that surprised me but did not change my determination. "What?"

"You caused a lot of hostility here," I said.

"Your point?"

I felt my cheeks redden, knowing that the only point I had was that he was a Darkling and I wanted to know more about him. "Nothing. Just that maybe you should stay."

He grimaced, obviously not pleased.

(alright, now that a bunch of us are together, I think we should converse in the DT about what we should do next, ne?)

"nothing just maybe you should stay" said the boy, his cheeks reddening. I grimaced. The Imp could be miles away now, I needed to get on his trail. Today was a mistake, I had never been that angry in a fight and it has caused me to lose my game. That won't happen again.

"I would, but as you can tell we just lost a monster that can cause great harm to other pathetic humans like you"

"Well maybe the Imp's not the monster" replied the she-darkling, crossing her arms.

"Not the monster? Those demons are shells of creatures! Greedy soul-suckers that want to rip life out of humanity and make it their own! They are willing to erase everything anyone or anybody ever did; their personality, their history their freakin life! to get just a small taste of what we enjoy!"

I was really riled up now. The boy had taken a step back, but that stupid she-Darkling was still defiant as ever.

Adelina

I blinked and looked at the strange people, really not sure what to say. They all argued back and forth, while I tried to process all that was happening. From what I understood, that guy they were calling an imp was bad. Guy with the sharp object, was supposedly good. No, wait, they were telling him to give the guy a chance. So was he bad? So did that make them both bad? I sighed and pushed myself into the center of the argument.

"You people, are seriously weird. Around here, when we meet a new person we usually say..." I turned to the guy who had only minutes ago scared the living daylights out of me and held my hand out, "Hi. I'm Adelina. You are?" before he could reply, or shake my hand I turned around to face the others. "We do not come after them with dangerous and sharp objects. Usually that results in them running away and not wanting to meet you unless you are on the other side of bars. Now, can someone please slow down and explain to me what th hell just happened?" I ran my fingers through my hair and stared at the others awkwardly. I was such an awkward person.
