Found the site recently through a cousin's facebook page. I was informed by my Uncle that he did work his as an administrator while I was adding to my novel while on holiday.
I was looking up writing tips for a story I was writing for class, and this site popped up as a suggestion. I clicked it because it looked interesting, and I immediately decided to join because I thought it would be cool to be a part of it. So, really, I found the site by accident. Oh well. I'm glad I found it.

I was google searching for writing groups, and this one came up. I lurked here once or twice through 2008-2009, I didn't join because the place seemed huge compared to my 500 member forum, with 20 or so regulars. But I finally joined.

I actually found this completely by accident. I was googling Pen in the Clouds, the name of the collection of short stories and poetry that I'm editor of to see if I could find any links to the site I made for it (I couldn't--it's pretty new), and this came up.
My mom went to a GT something-or-other and asked around for sites for young writers. (Twice as good as google, if you ask me.) She returned with a list. Out of all of them, I most wanted to join Teen Ink, and was going to. We had sent the application and everything- turns out you have to be thirteen to join. But, not feeling like waiting, I skipped on over here, browsed around, and joined. I'm glad I did- you guys are way cooler.

If I remember correctly, I found it on Writer's Digest - 101 Best Sites when I was looking for a new writing site...the one I was on (which I'm still on because I like the newsletters and contests) only allows 10 things in your portfolio unless you pay for an extended membership. SCREW THAT!!!
