I sure can I thought. I put my sword hacks on fastforward. A quick jab to the up, a fast slide down and a sharp swing up and around. She blocked all of them easily, but at least I had her moving.
Then she had me on deffence. She layed her sword out so that it was horizontal and repeatedly hacked at me, forcing me to step back. I tried to recover, but she was fast. Suddenly, she stopped and I straightened, but before I could take a moment to think out my next move, she swung to my right, faked to the left and brought the sword to my neck. She smiled trimphantly at me. I smiled back, "that is some nice wrist work." She nodded. "Want to go again?" More then likely I'll get beat again, but this was good practice, and practice is how you win.

I'm so startled when T.J. blacks out on the couch. He was fine, wounded, but stubborn and fine and then- he just blacks out. A shiver goes up my spine and I bite my lip. There was just so much blood...could I have really caused that? I feel the cool and knarled hand of a Argus, the security guard. I gasp, shocked, and whirl around. Argus rolls about fifty of his eyes and holds up a small bag of ambrosia.
"Erm-thanks, Argus."
He nodds. I take a huge breath and lean down besides T.J. Blood never used to make me so queasy but it just reminds me of death and decay and... Stop Spirit. I seriously didn't need to be thinking about that right now.
"How much nectar should I use?"
Argus looks around for Chiron, a nyph, or an Apollo kid. My mind wanders slightly, thinking about the ironecy of an Apollo kid, injured, and needing an Apollo kid. Then again, T.J. didn't seem much of a healer. I smile slightly and Argus puts up his fingers, indicating how much I should use. From my limited knowledge, it seemed about accurate. I reach for a cup on the desk and poor a small amount of ambrosia into it. I tilt his head, my hand shaking slightly an poor it into his mouth. As soon as the last drop passes his lips, he flutters his eyes open.
"Hey Sleeping Beauty it's about time."
He gives me a weak eye roll and I grin, happy he was feeling better. Then I notice his arm, still bleeding. Eeep!
"Argus do you have any-"
When I look up I notice Argus standing above me with a roll of bandages. It was handy, if not slightly creepy, how he always seemed to read our minds. I take the bandages.
"Can you lift your arm?" I ask him.
"Easily." He replies.
He lifts his arm and I-as gently as possible-wrap the bandages around his arm. He sits up, seeming fazed but thankfully alright. I poor him a tiny more bit of nectar and he takes it and drinks in greedily. When he pulls the cup back he smiles a huge grin at me.
" I'm ready for our re-match."
Behind him Argus is shaking his head vigorously. I help T.J. up and give him my best innocent smile.
"Not with that arm you won't!"
He frowns at me and I feel dissapointment. I really did want to battle T.J. but I didn't want his wound to get re-opened. I have an evil idea, a great idea, a - I think I've been reading ONE to many out of season Dr.Seuss books with my little sister. " I have a better idea. Everyone is still at sword fighting aren't they? So this is your oppurtunity to prove your prankster worthy of a Hermes girl." I blink my eyes at him, feeling slightly pranky -that was a mood wasn't it?-" You up for it?"
I have loved the words and I have hated them. I only hope I have made them right.
Oh yeah and please pick a number between 1-30 and post it on the DT for the chariot races! They closest to my number will win the race with their partner!

So I used the vines. Other kids were using their parent given powers to. That Athena girl was using strategy to whoop Diago's butt. Spirit Jones had just totally pranked the crap out of T.J. My powers were just a little...different. I sigh, weaving the vines around Katherine's ankles.
"You know, can you make me some strawberries during break too?" she says slyly.
I laugh. "Sure, after you admit defeat."
She gives me a smile- the same one that she used when she was faking something. I frown and then watches as she struggles, my confidence totally re-stored.
"No way."
I press my cool blade to her neck. " I think you might have to."
She looks up at me with wide eyes. Then, with a flick of her wrist I feel something wet creep along my ankles.
"You didn't."
" Oh yes, yes I did."
Then, I'm dosed in water. I lift my sopping wet hair, unfazed. Her vined boundage is loosening by the second. I move my arm to re-bond it, and she moves her fingers wonding the water around me, her water wall soaking through me. She stands up, brushing the grape vine remaints off her.
"Cheater!"
"No, we never exactly set the rules." She quotes my earlier words.
I grimance as the wall soaks me through and through. I push on it with my sword, breaking it briefly enough to run into Katherine, getting her soaked before she can stop it. The water wall collaps to the ground and we follow it, laughing. I wipe a tear from my face and looked at Katherine.
"Look like we got our swim done a little earlier now, didn't we?
"Gods, we are gonna get in SO much trouble."
We stop laughing for a moment and look at each other, Katherine's big shirt hanging wet on her, and start cracking up again.
"Eh, who cares-" I wink," We can make up something right?"
I have loved the words and I have hated them. I only hope I have made them right.
Diago had some good moves, but I was ready. Blocking them was an easy accomplishment for me. I switched to offence, hacking away at every opportunity. I stopped, before he knew how to respond, I had my sword at his neck. I smiled.
"Thats some nice wrist work." He said between breaths. I liked his determination, a lot.
"Want to go again?" I asked, I wasn't even breaking a sweat yet.
He stared for a second, then nodded. Most would pass up this chance to fight a child of Athena, except for the cocky ones, and Diago, the determined son of Dionysus.
I leaned back, debating on weather or not to take it easy on him. He lunged, I stepped back. Lets see what this guy can do. I thought. He had been watching the others, I noted his style and form of every movement. I quickly dodged and blocked his attacks, until my day dreaming caught up with me. He grabbed my arm and twisted it behind me in a fluid motion. Did that REALLY just happen?! I thought, his sword now pointed at my neck. I could hear his heart beat and feel every breath. I looked up, I hadn't payed much attention to him the three years I had went to this camp, all I know is he was here before I was. Were those purple streaks always there? I thought. i]Now is NOT the time![/i] I reminded myself. My mind flooded with thoughts.
"I won." He said, in a sort of unbelieving tone.
"Not so fast." I said, not wanting a defeat on my record. As soon as the words came out of my mouth, I dropped, untwisting myself, switching my sword to my other hand. Now I meant business.
"Your good for a Dionysus. I shouldn't have let my guard down." I admitted, though every word burnt like acid. Admitting I did something wrong, that NEVER happened. *********************************************************************************************************************************************** ~Raine Starkweather~Poesidon~
After getting in trouble with Kassie, Watching their fight was entertaining! It's just a little ironic that two of Poseidon's children had a laughing fit in the middle of a battle. I REALLY wanted to swim right now, when are we going swimming?! I thought. I continued watching the battles. I stood up, wiping my pants, and found a small patch of shade. I really want to talk to someone I thought, kicking the ground rhythmically.
Sorry guys, had a midterm. Jack -- Ares Monday Sword Fighting
It didn't matter to me who I fought as long as it was from Hermes cabin. And at least Nick would make a good fight.
"I'm gonna make you pay for what you did!" I roared as I swung my sword through the air. It was a little heavy for me, but it didn't matter. I grabbed it with my wrong hand and flexed my good one. The sword was just for intimidation anyways.
"Whatever are you talking about?" Nick said with a smirk.
"Oh like you don't know." I said.
"Well I'm not feeling all that scared. Why don't you give me a reason?"
Looking back I knew exactly what he was trying to do. He was trying to get me angry and lose control. Well, I wasn't in the right spot at the time so it worked like a charm. I charged and swung the sword completely against my strategy. Nick moved out of the way easily and kicked me in the back of the leg buckling me over. I purposely fell to my back and rolled out of the way of his blade and jumped back to my feet.
I swung the sword around again and only met with air as Nick nimbly moved out of the way.
"I was expecting more from Ares cabin." Nick said.
"That's enough!" I yelled and dropped the sword. I charged again and punched him swiftly in the gut. He doubled over and I tripped him to the ground. Before I could pin him, he rolled out of the way and swung his leg around tripping me to my knees. He then jumped up and pointed his blade to my chest.
"You really need to work on that anger, Jack." Nick said.
"I know." I growled.
"Well, I win. You lose. See you later." With another smile, he walked away. Chalk another loss for me. Just great.
"Well, it would seem that my lying skills are muh better than yours." I began in a teacherly voice.
The smile reappeared and We both laughed.
"So who wins?" he asked me and I thought a moment.
"If you make me those strawberries I'll tell them it was a tie." I was actyally pretty hungry but just spending time with Daemond was keeping me happy.
I plucked at the dripping material and frowned before waving a hand before myself and thinking, Dry. The damp material began to steam as the heated water raised and left my shirt looking as if it had just left the dryer.
Daemond was staring at me in stunned silence before he looked at himself. His eyes returned with a hopeful gleam and i sighe noisily.
"Only because I know you'd soak me again." and I waved a hand toward him and even his hair dried.
He smirked, "'Course."
I rose to my fert an offered my hand to help him up, the sword tilted downwards an my left hand on it's hilt lightly.
"Now, about those strawberries?" I suggested, licking my lips and brushing back my brown hair.
I was silently warring a battle within myself and nearly missed his answer.
To fly away on gossamer wings, sheer as night's reflective glow, I would could I cradle child hecate to my breast.
Aetos was sitting on the bleachers, breathless. We hadn't fought that hard. I was worried about him. All that muscle and he couldn't even battle for a while?
" Ok, let's go again, I'm ready," He said. His face was still red and sweaty, I didn't believe him.
" Nah, I don't want to. It's almost over anyway. Do you want to do something else?" I didn't want him to get hurt, so if I made it seem like I gave up, he'd be more willing to stop trying to kill himself.
" Fine, you could be a wimp. Do you want to go swimming?" He asked.
" No!" I screamed, attracting the attention of some onlookers. I blushed. " Sorry, I don't like swimming. The water, it's just, Euggh!"
" How can you hate swimming?"
When I was little, I almost drowned in a pool. I was at a friends house, back when I still had friends out of camp half-blood. I was about six, and just starting to show signs of my godly powers. As I was drowning, I freaked and the water became electrocuted, stopping my friends heart and almost killing her. I struggled against the water at the bottom of the pool while the girls mother saved her daughter, and left me there, forgotten. I was underwater for two minutes, I had fainted, before my friends father jumped in and saved me. I shocked him too, and he wasn't able to get the water out of my lungs. I was stuck on land, drowning. My father saved me from dying, but I didn't even know it then. All I knew was that I had almost killed two people, and myself. I was so scared, and I didn't even know my father was Zeus then. I thought I was a freak, and never went swimming again.
But I wasn't about to tell Aetos that whole story. " I can't swim. Guess it's just part of being a Zeus kid, hating water," I said cheerily.
" That's fine, I'll teach you!" HE offered, pulling me towards my cabin. Fear numbed me until it was too late, we were at the Zeus cabin.
" Go inside and change, I'll wait." Now comes an issue, I don't even have a bathing suit.
I wake up to the sweet taste of Mountain Dew. My eyes slowly flutter open and I hear Spirit's voice. "Hey Sleeping Beauty it's about time." I roll my eyes and smile, glad to be awake. I realize that I'm still bleeding, not a good sign. I'm about to let her know but she's got it under control. "Argus do you have any-" Argus was already there, holding a few bandages. She takes them and asks, "Can you lift your arm?" I tried flexing it and decided that I could.
"Easily." I reply. I lift my arm and she gently applies the bandages. Only once does it hurt, but I show nothing, no signs of weakness. I sit up and she pours more nectar into the cup. I take it and drink it very fast. "I'm ready for our re-match." I say, grinning.
She helps me up before replying, "Not with that arm you won't!" I frown, I could've taken her with one arm, I think. She quickly lightens my mood. "I have a better idea. Everyone is still at sword fighting aren't they? So this is your opportunity to prove your prankster worthy of a Hermes girl." I stand up a little straighter, waiting for the details. This was my chance, probably my only chance. "You up for it?"
"Anything you want me to do I'll do." I say, sounding a little desperate, but I really wasn't. "The question is, what do you have in mind?" Will post about race later, but I'm still confused about the partners thing. *Scratches head* Could someone clear that up?
"Is this the real life, or is this just fantasy? Caught in a landslide, no escape from reality."
I'm short on time (I'm at school) but I'm trying to post! Hope your ok with T.J. agreeing to the cabin! He sounded like he wouldn't mind... DaSpetsnaz~ See DT (On first page (short on time to link it here, sorry.)) I explained it there. If you still need help contact me.

"Anything you want me to do I'll do.The question is, what do you have in mind?" T.J. says.
I flood with relief, glad he agrees with me. I bite my lip, going through the cabin list in my head.
"Well, we can't do Ares 'cause Nick already hit them today and no Aphrodite because their WAY to easy. I guess we could always hit the Apollo-" I shoot T.J. a quick grimance." Sorry, I wasn't thinking."
"It's cool."
I nodd, thankful he was so quick to forgive my big mouth. "Hm... Posiedon or Dioynusus...wait no, Mr.D's been in a bad mood lately and we don't want to get on his bad side. Posiedon is one of the most populated cabin to... I say Posiedon unless you have a better idea."
"That sounds good."
His eyes dart back and forth, as though looking for anyone to overhear us. I giggle.
"So let me hit Hermes cabin first to gether some supplies." I pause, guessing he might have a little stuff as well," Do you have anything you want?"
He looks at me like I'd just grown another head. I giggle. "Sorry. I'm not used to pranking with anyone besides my siblings and once a very bored Aphrodite. You go to your cabin quickly and then we'll meet up again here."
I sprint off toward my cabin, not waiting to hear if he replied. I rush into our cabin, look around and drop to the ground. Nick's best pranking material was hid under his bed-not the best hiding spot for children of the God of thieves. Pulling out the tub I look through it, pulling out a tub of silly string and a couple of Nicks best items. I notice the make up kit that we stole from the Aphrodite Cabin was gone and smile, knowing now what Nick had done to poor Andreas and Jack. I shove the items into my innocent looking cloth bag and rush back out to beat T.J. He's there waiting for me, a sly smile on his face. The smile that Nick always showed when he was about to prank someone. It was the best smile in the world.
"Are you ready?" I say, sure the same smile showed on my face.
"I was BORN ready."
"Right." 'Cause it's not like we only met this morning when you were trying to prank my cabin. No, he was BORN ready and I found it even a little-cute? "So anyway, what do have planned?"
I have loved the words and I have hated them. I only hope I have made them right.
Sorry, Milk! I didn't know you were waiting. You could've just moved on or something, I wouldn't mind. Umm....*thinks of something to write*...Sorry, I'm uber busy at the moment and I'm having a writers block. When I get an idea I'll write, kay? Or you can just write something, I don't care.
