I freeze.
"Any last words?" he asks me with the end pf his blade pressed against my back.
I had to think fast, and the wind whipping strands of hair in my face wasn't helping my sight.
Suddenly, I can hear the very soft gurgling of water but I deny myself to cheat with powers. He'd use those damned vines again like the first time.
I gripped the hilt of the sword tighter, knuckles white, and smiled wickedly.
"I'd just like to say-" I pause, dropping to the ground and land facing his legs. I sweep his legs out from under him with a wide kick.
Daemon falls to te ground and I lunge to my feet, I then straddle his chest. A boot on each side pf his hips and the point of my sword directly beneath his chin.
"-I win." and there's no way he can get up without my sword cutting his throat.
I grin in triumph, "I always knew I was the better swordsmen." I laugh and he cracks a smile.
"Mhmm." he just grunts and I tilt my head to the side.
It was then that tight ropes of vine begin tightening around my ankles and waist.
"Cheater!" I shriek as I try prying them loose.
"No." he smiles, "We never exactly set the rules."
I frown but my smile seeps through and I'm pinned to the ground by the vines, the sound of roaring water grows in my ears.
I stall, letting him think he's won and my sword arm lays tangled in vines. "You know, can you make me some strawberries during break too?"
To fly away on gossamer wings, sheer as night's reflective glow, I would could I cradle child hecate to my breast.

Lexie-Ares

Regan is a pretty good fighter, I'll give her that. I'd say we were in about a dead lock for most of the fight. Here and there one of us would get a little bit of the upper hand. Once she actually knocked the sword out of my hands. I definatly wasn't going to let that happen again.

"You got lucky there wise girl. That's not gonna happen again."

"Whatever you say. You might want to toughen up a little." she retorted.

Smirking I started in on my attack. I sliced my sword, moving fast. She blocked my every move, but I was getting closer. I knew she had fought Jack before, but Jack's not the best sword fighter. Don't get me wrong, he's one of the best fighters, but he prefers hand to hand combat. My strength was sword fighting, and I wasn't going to let some child of Athena beat me at it.

I spent most of the year thinking up of new ways to make my fighting better. I had even come up with a new move, a way to make sure my opponent was on their back. This involved getting Regan to turn around and face the sun. That was the tough part. Using a series of attacks, I finally got Regan and I to switch positions. Now she was facing the sun; perfect. I smirk at her and go in for the kill (so to speak). I attacked, defended, and then I made my move. Forcing my sword high, level with the sun, I brought it down. Rae only had time to react once my sword had knocked hers out. I put my sword up to her neck and pronounced, "Dead."

"That was impressive Lexie. But I'm not gonna let you have all the glory," Regan told me. "I will beat you."

She smiled at me and walked away. And, as always, that fight proved to the camp I was the best sword fighter. Getting a drink I walk over to see how Andreas was doing. I sure hope that kid had learned how to fight since last year.

T.J~Monday Morning

"Your on." I grin as we pull out our weapons. I quickly make the first move, slashing at her head. She ducks under and moves slightly closer. I look at her and she's grinning. I wonder why but soon find out. In a moment her sword is at my throat, I feel the pressure of it on my neck. I quickly go through my options of what do do. I select one and use it. Using the side of my sword I shove forward, sending her flying back. She's still on her feet but about to fall so I come over. I grab her hand and pull her up. I slowly let go and she gives me a strange look.

"Are you ok?" I ask, she looks pretty shaken up.

"F-Fine."

"Do you want to continue?" I ask, I don't want to hurt her.

"Of course! Can't expect me to accept that as the end, can you?" I liked this answer, it meant she was a fighter. I liked this. I smile and nod, setting down my shield, I don't think I would need it. Although she keeps her shield close to her, for extra protection. This time she takes the first blow with a shot to my chest. I block it with a loud clang from the swords. She strikes again just grazing my nose. I feel the warm substance on my nose, but the cut isn't bad enough to keep it moving. I grin, just thinking of one of my tactics. She smiles too and slashes at my shoulder. I was too distracted thinking that I wasn't ready. The sword hits my shoulder and leaves a small gash. A sharp pain goes through my arm and I drop my sword, but I wasn't going to let it stop me. I reach for my sword but I slip and it goes behind her. Now I'm screwed, or am I? I think. She immediately puts her sword on my throat for the second time. I flatten myself on the ground, knowing what I have to do. She moves forward slightly and I make my move. With all the might I would use without hurting her, I quickly kick my legs in a wide arch. I make contact with hers, and she falls over with a soft thud. I scramble up and grab my sword. I stick it in her throat and kick her sword out of her hand.

"Surrender?" I say with a look of triumph on my face.

"For now, but next round you're going down." I smile and lift her off the ground with my one good arm. I set her down and head over to my water. I pour some on my arm and face before taking a drink. I'd bandage my arm later. Right now I had another fight to win.

Monday Morning Sword Fighting

Devnee Grey and I are on our second round of sword fighting. The sunlight glinted off my sword into her eyes.

"Ah!" She stumbles backwards and drops her sword. She lands with a thud on the dusty ground and her sword lands on her stomach, cutting slightly in. A trickle of blood follows.

"Oh my Gods! Are you okay?" I run over to her.

"Yeah, I'm fine. It doesn't hurt."

"Well, you should get it checked out before it bleeds too much more." She shakes her head.

"It doesn't hurt. It will be fine." She says, a little venomous.

"Well, you can go to the nurse, because I'm not fighting with you until that's healed. I seriously think it will get bad fast." She gives me a death glare and heads off to the infirmary. I'm looking around for another partner, when I see her. I remember her from a few years ago. From where she's standing, the sun illuminates her hair. Her perfectly tanned skin shone.

"Hey Savannah!" I shout across the clearing. She turns towards me, her hair swishing around her. "Wanna practice with me?"

"Sure!" She replies cheerily. "If you can handle it." She challenges.

"Oh, you're going down." I say, feeling cocky.

"If I am, you're going down with me!"

Jeez, I'm gone a few hours and you guys add two pages to this thing!!!

Ani - Poseidon

When I looked around, most everyone already had a partner, so I turned to Erika with hopeful eyes. She nodded and we both suited up with our swords.

Situated, we began to battle. As I took a few steps back, I let an exasperated sigh. Stupid shoes! Quickly, I kicked of the flipflops and began thrashing the sword towards Erika, forcing my self to refrain from flinching with each clang of metal that rang in my ears and shook my arm.

As other groups began to stop, I was so tired. Give me some water and you can count on getting your butt kicked, but sword fighting is not my thing.

*sorry it's short, I'm low on time. Could someone bring Bella in?*

I smiled one more time at Chase then I made my way over to the nurses cabin my hand pressing absentmindedly to my cut which had already stopped bleeding. "Why in the name of the gods do I have to go?" I muttered when I walked into the nurses office/cabin. A few minutes later I was walking back to the combat area under strict orders not to stretch to hard or my wound would reopen. I sighed out of irritation and sat on the ground watching everyone fight. Chase ran over and smiled at me. "Ready for a rematch?" He asked cheerily as Savannah walked over to her partner and they started to fight again. I gnawed at my lip and then shook my head. "Sorry Chase I would but the nurse told me not to push it." I said apologetically. He sighed and nodded and walked away looking for someone else to fight. I settled back and started to sing quietly under my breath "Who can say where the road goes Where the day flows only time And who can say if your love grows As your heart chose only time..." I kept singing under my breath enjoying the easy flow of the beautiful lyrics from my tongue. "Devnee!" I heard someone yell. * I am attempting to bring in Bella*

Savannah Victoria - Zeus

After I had finished my short round of Archery, I headed over to the sword fighting area. Most people had already started, so I waited until I saw someone free. I watched as groups fought while I sat. As I watched Lexie beating Regan, I heard someone calling me.

" Hey Savannah!" a deep but friendly voice called. I turned to see Aetos across the clearing. "Wanna practice with me?"

I agreed and after some friendly banter, I walked over to him. He was bigger than me, but that didn't worry me. I was tough too, what with all the sports I played.

We stood facing each other, swords drawn. His stance wasn't very good, but he looked pretty comfortable with a sword so I tried not to judge him. He was a son of Aphrodite, so it was his job to attract girls. Winning attracts girls, so I assumed he was good.

" Ladies first," He said. I smirked.

" Ok, you go then." As he was forming a response, I struck. He deflected my attack, but he was now off balance. He swung to and tried to hit me, but I blocked him. I let this go on for a little while until I could see sweat pouring down his face. It was rare that you got to see that happen with an Aphrodite camper, so I relished the moment. I had made an Aphrodite camper sweat. Either he liked me, or he really wanted to beat me. I couldn't see a reason for the second option, so it must have been the first.

He was running out of breath and I could feel myself tiring to. We'd been at it full strenght for twenty minutes. It could've ended sooner but hey, it's not every day you see an Aphrodite camper working hard on something other than looks. I brought my sword down and he deflected it, but before he could move I swung my sword down distracting him and hit him with my sheild. He stumbled and I ran forward, knocking him over and putting my sword at his throat.

" I win," I said with a sweet, innocent smile.

Bella - Aphrodite

I really wasn't in the mood to have someone swing at me with a hunk of metal on a stick.

When I spotted Devnee sitting off to the side, I called, "Devnee!" And ran over.

Sitting down, I asked, "Hey, why aren't you fighting?"

"I'm no allowed to." Devnee replied.

"Ah, I see. Well, mind if I keep you company? We haven't really talked in a while."

Devnee and I used to be really great friends last year - wonder why we haven't talked to much this year.

"Sure thing." She said, watching as everyone fought.

"So how has your year been?" I asked, trying to catch her pretty grey eyes.

*Hope this is okay. Thanks Lady!*

T.J~Monday Morning
I set down my water and head over to Spirit. "You ready to lose again?" I ask with a grin on my face.

"No, I'm gonna' win," she says, ready to go. I attempt to pick up my sword, but an extreme pain shoots up my arm and I release it. "Are you okay?" she asks with a look of worry on her face.

"Yeah, I just can't use my right arm," I say. I look down at my arm and the sight is horrible. The gash on my arm has reopened, and blood is running down my arm. "Alright, maybe not." I attempt to stop the blood flow, but it won't stop.

"You need to go to the nurse's, that's not going to stop anytime soon."

"You're right, just stay here until I get back, I'm having a rematch." I start to head off when I hear her voice.

"Wait, I'm coming with you! I was the one who mutilated your arm." I couldn't argue with that, or her.

"Alright, come one." I wave her towards me and she heads over. One the way to the nurse's I make a quick bandage on my arm using leaves. I know it wouldn't work long, but I was starting to get dizzy from blood loss. After a minute I can't walk straight. Spirit looks worried so I speed up. I can see the office. I crash through the door and just make it to the couch before I black out.

[b]Devnee Grey-Athena[
"Pretty good how about you Bella?" I asked quietly.
"It's been great!" She said happily smiling at me. I smiled and looked down thinking.
"Hey Bella?" I asked quietly.
"Yeah Devnee?" She asked. "
Do you think we can be friends again?" I asked looking at her.
She smiled brightly and nodded.
I smiled broadly back.
"Yay." I said happily grinning.
She grinned back.
"So what do you want to do until their done fighting?" She asked nodding towards the fighting figures.
I thought and then jumped up and ran to the Athena cabin. I ran inside and grabbed my sketchpad and ran back to Bella who was sitting there stunned. "Sorry but I had to get this." I said panting handing her the sketchpad. She started to flip through the sketchpad. I scootched next to her and looked at the pictures with her. Most of the pictures were people who were in Camp Half-blood and the cabins. * I imporvised*

Bella - Aphrodite

The pictures were amazing, so realistic. I ran my fingers over each picture, each line, taking in all of the dark line, bright colors, swirling lines, swooshing dashes. It was absolutely incredible.

"Devnee, you're so good at this. I can't believe it, your even better than last year! I never thought that possible!"

"Thanks!" She beamed.

Pushing my hair away from my face, I sat straighter and said pleadingly "Okay, draw me now!"

Devnee flipped to a clean page and began to sketch.

I sat still, my legs crossed, my elbow resting on my knee, my hand cupping my cheek. I watched with interest as Devnee's arm moved and her pretty grey eyes flickered from the paper to me and then back to the paper. It was really cool to watch her do this. I could never do anything like it unless I was working with designing, and even then I can't draw the designs, I just go off of what's in my head.

Just when I began to get restless, Devnee smiled and cheered "I'm done!"

*Hope this is okay*

Sword Fighting

I stopped for a few minutes after breakfast to go to the bathroom, and when I finally arrived at Sword Fighting, everyone had already paired up. I didn't really want to learn how to use a sword, because I was really looking forward to Archery. I'd seen some people do it before, and it looked like a lot of fun. I sat down on the ground and watched everyone fight for a few minutes before I got bored.

The sound of the clashing metal was hurting my ears, so I started walking around the area. Everyone here looked like they were really good, so I was a little nervous. I couldn't wait until we moved on to the next activity, because I'd hope anything was better than this.
Sorry it's so short, I didn't really have much to write about! :P

Monday Sword Fighting

I could feel the sweat pouring down my body. I was so not prepared for this. After sitting in a classroom and on the beach for a while, this much physical activity was overwhelming. Savannah pointed her sword at my throat and said, "I win." I could not believe I was just beat by a girl! She offered me her hand to get up, and I shook my head. I had already been humiliated, I didn't need help up. I groaned as I got to my feet, already feeling exhausted.

"You ready to go again?"

"Not yet. In a minute."
Sorry, I can't make it longer. I'm going somewhere where there's no internet!
