This time last month...my dad was getting all angry and everything. I mean, you could tell things were going to get violent. And he started hitting Mom and I just...left. Got on the number one train and rode around for hours, it was at least one in the morning before I went back home. And Mom was all beaten up. And I couldn't help but think: I did this. I left her, and this is all my fault. I could've stopped it. I thought of killing myself, just ending it all. But where would that leave Mom? Even worse off than she already is. --Zadkhiel
