Coming of age means going from having two realities (the one you're in and the one you'll have in the future where there's wonder and mystery and hope for it to turn out well) to having on constant reality, since you found out what life will be like when you're grown up. Since you lost a reality, life got a lot shorter, but a day at work feels like the longest thing you'll ever do. -Zero

What's your opinion on death? Afterlife or not?
Gone, gone from New York City,
where you gonna go with a head that empty?

Afterlife? Yes, I believe in it because I'm living in it now. ~ Wind Rider

The answer is arduous. There are many situations that have caused me to cower. *ponders for a couple of seconds* Hmm... There was the hanging of Andrew Oliver, his crooked neck rocking from Liberty Tree, lieutenant-governor Hutchinson's home burned in effigy, the bloody scarecrow... Hmm... There is one other fear but it pains me to admit it. *searches around* I suppose, since I'm alone, I'll confess to you. I am rather frightened of a certain walking stick and more importantly, the stick's master - my father. In my mind's eye, his walking stick is used as a weapon and I fear the striking from that piece of wood sometimes more than the acute events taking fold in Boston. -Samuel Garrison (Bound for Glory: Our Brethren)

Are you a quick learner or does the task have to be repeated several times in order for you to understand?

I'm usually a quick learner. Unless you're trying to get me to do something like dancing or cooking.~ Whittaker N.

Necessary? Absolutely not. Conflict is necessary, but that can be done without violence. There are times, however, when you are forced into it and there's simply no other way to survive. ~ Mr. Leref

Is there anything you enjoy so much/become so involved in - you forget yourself or surroundings? What (why)?

Training. Swordfighting, managing dark powers, or simply increasing my efficiency, a simple slip could prove fatal. And so I delve completely into the act - perhaps not completely, as I must remain aware of my surroundings, but enough to change my attitude toward people. Anyone who interrupts me could easily find his- or herself dead or brutally mangled. ~Saphirus

What is your weakness? What makes you feel you cannot go on, or makes you feel so vulnerable to others that you might do anything they asked of you?

You huv a horriable way of brunging back memories. When Pa died, I was pretty happy but I should huv known my luck would run low. Some time later a cruck of thunder from a musket, and she lie crumpled before my young eyes. I was in my 'arly teens.

Some time lutter, I wedded but agun, a person I carthed deeply about... *cries*

*sniffs* Thanks for the memories.

How do you make it through grief? (Or have you ever been through anything tragic?) --And Garrick rather answered most of that...^_^''

(Oh, Jeeze. I've been waiting for this question but I have so many characters suffering from one thing to the next, and I have to choose? Thanks a lot, Imp! LOL! ;) )

I have taught my son the strongest course he should engage in to abolish anxiety or other difficulties is to converse freely with his family.

Although... whilst thinking about it, I should follow through with my own advice. *sighs and shakes head slowly* I suppose I will never overcome the grief that has burdened me for nearly sixty-four years.

If I were required to choose one tragic event, it would have been enlisting in the French and Indian War. Though I only served a couple of years, I was shot, and rushed to the medics. I was released and sent home - Boston. Unfortunately, I returned half human and less of a man.

(That last question was screaming to be answered by Garrick, lol. Couldn't resist).

How do you reward youself if you've done something good? Buy yourself a present? Take yourself out to dinner, watch a movie, visit friends?

I enjoy drawing. However, it is a bit of an annoyence locating a large clump of coal from the fire pit or a decent quill that hasn't been bent in half. - Samuel Garrison (Bound for Glory: Our Brethren)

Do you like outdoorsy stuff? Fishing, hiking, camping, hunting, etc. ?
