Never to the death - that wastes your efforts. Only foolish amateurs kill unnecessarily. No, there are ways to get information out of even the most stubborn peasants. Everyone has a fear, and everyone can feel pain. The slower, the better. By the time they feel the sword slicing into their ribcage, every movement causes panic and pain. If you stop just before you kill them... Well, that's a skill that takes years to perfect. But they all talk before that point. They may be ready to die to protect their point, but they're not ready to endure days and weeks of intense suffering.

Of course, there are some who believe my way is cruel. But then those people never last long in the Dark Realm.
~Saphirus

The rights of the people and the knowlege of their rulers actions is absolute. The people have a right to be protected from their government. To be the people in power. The people have a right to be protected from the violence of war and the danger of peace. We do not exist without the people and the people do not survive without us. ~Unknown.

Why would you be loyal to your country (or why not)?

(I changed the question to "Why would you be loyal to your clan (or why not)?" to make it more applicable to the character, since he doesn't technically belong to a country.)

Because there's no reason to be disloyal and many reasons not to be. I've grown up in my Clan, my closest companion was the Lord of the Clan and now I serve under his daughter. She wasn't raised to be a Lady and needs more help than she even knows, though she's more than willing to admit it. But that isn't why I stay. I stay because the thought of betraying her is impossible, she means too much to all of us. And this Clan doesn't need any more civil war. ~ Mr. Leref

"I fear neither, having lived in both. Vampires rule the night, Humans the day...and myself, both. When I was a kid I used to be afraid of everything, including the dark. That...sorta had to change when I started hunting the undead."

What's your fondest memory? Sometimes reflecting on what was great is better than dwelling on the darkness of one's past.
Got YWS? I do.

[b]Fondest memory.... I haven't ever thought of that before. Memories are for the past. We must always look ahead. But if I must answer, perhaps it was back at basic. I was never given special treatment because of my heritage, or my future garanteed position, I had to go through the numbers like everyone else. It was one of the few times that I could be seen as an equal among my peers. That was before I had to worry about polaticians, or keeping a social order. I could be loved then, and I was, once... But as I said, that is for the past. We must look forward.[/b[

If you had too choose, sacrificing your life, or saving that of your enimy's... which would you choose?

I would save the life of my enemy. He hates living and tries to kill himself, although his curse prevents him from doing so. If I knew someone was trying to kill him, I would save the psycho and make him suffer even longer.-Leon

(Since I have one of the strangest names, I'll submit this one. They sure knew how to name them back then, eh?)

My surname is Garrison. It means Troops in Battle. My first name is Welcome and it literally translates to Welcome Guest. *bows slightly* Please to meet you. Maybe we will cross paths again.- Welcome Garrison

(Hehe, quite a few of my characters have interesting meanings to their names, such as another; Garrick, which Imp seems to like.)

What's your ethnic heritage? Meaning are you Scottish, Irish, English, ect.
The sadness drains through me rather than skating over my skin. It travels through every cell to reach the ground. I filter it yet strangely enough, I keep what was pure and it is the dirt that leaves.

"Well, that depends on what you mean by fictional. Lately all my favorite legends that I thought were nothing but mythology have been coming true in various forms around me. Though I have to say, Optimus Prime was a total badass in his day.

"...no, Transformers are not real. Just thought I'd clarify."

Birthdays? Well, when a child is born in our House, we invite everyone over; presents are exchanged on both sides, and the child is blessed. There is music until the early hours of the morning, although the child usually misses that, as we tend to put him or her to bed before then. It is a happy and joyous occasion. ~ Mariya Garanhe.

What about marriages? How do you celebrate them, and how does a man or a woman propose beforehand?
