Well i was thinking about this the other day and i realized i had no frikken clue. I mean did i just decide to pick up a pen and write or had I always been writing? Yeah i know it's kind of stupid not to know, i blame it on the ADHD
I first got into writing when I was in third grade. My teacher had us doing a project where we were to write our own fairy tales. I had so much fun that I declared that I wanted to be a writer when I grew up.
So, I started writing because it was fun. I still write because I don't know how to not write.
I don't fangirl. I fandragon.

Actually, I just picked up a pen one day and started writing. I had written some random things for school before this, and maybe some miscellaneous discarded stories once in a blue moon, but this is when I actually found myself pulled into writing. It started as a stress relief; a lot was going on in my life and the lives of my friends that was tearing us down and I found sanctuary in writing a fictional story based on what I saw happening to us.
After that I was in love with writing. So I picked up an old discarded story that I had abandoned soon after considering it and started writing. Then I found YWS and never stopped. Honestly, I think that without YWS I would have abandoned writing again.
So true for me too. YWS has helped me so much with my writing .Here i discovered the joy of people reading you’re work and actually liking it. It kind of made me rethink on what i want to do when I’m older. I’m still bent on the whole doctor thing but the idea of becoming a writer doesn't seem like such a bad idea. Well i guess I’ll see where life takes me. Hey I’m only 15 i still got a good 50 60 years left (assuming i don't die tomorrow….yep that’s me Mrs. optimistic)
I have a constant stream of "movie clips," which encompass dialogue bits, action scenes, and creatures/settings of all kinds. They won't leave my head until I've written them down.

I'm not really sure I can exactly say as I've been writing ever since I can remember, maybe three or four. My babysitters had The Sims and we played it religiously whenever I was over there, so that might have had some impact on it, thinking of the families we were creating and the stories of their lives. I also watched a great deal of Disney movies, and I became like every other little girl who was obsessed with with princesses and wanted to be one myself. I wanted to create stories about my own princesses and their magic. I wrote a lot of princess and general fantasy stories when I was little, and I kept writing. As I got older, I've expanded my horizons, harnessed my skill and began to dive into other realms of writing and write about other things.

I started writing because of the activities my teacher made us do in primary school (year 2, I think?). We'd basically write adventure stories, and I always enjoyed it a lot. I wrote on and off from then, and then when I was 12 and bored I began a novel I finished at 14, and then I found YWS, where I've written more stories since.

My second grade teacher really encouraged us to write our own stories and had us do a lot of writing projects. I discovered I really liked writing and continued doing little stories until a couple years ago when I started writing novels and bigger projects.

Junior high advanced language arts helped with vocabulary and somewhat technique. Other than that, it has always just been a way of expression and communication. I met a poet about two years ago with the most beautiful writing I had ever seen. She's pretty much my drive to keep going every morning, and everything else is just my inspiration to write the days down. Carpe diem, carpe noctem, ink to paper, blablabla.
Other than that, I've never really given the reason much thought. Surely there's a longer explanation, somewhere.
Oh god, I can't even remember... I started writing when I was like eight, for the fun of it, and then stopped for several years before picking back up again. I think I started because it was fun, and I loved reading. I thought it would be amazing to see my own work in print someday, so I decided that it would never happen if I didn't start.

I started writing at the age of about eight, I guess. My stories were nothing special, but I liked to write. I dropped it for a while after losing most of my friends, then I picked it back up again when I was 11 for NaNoWriMo. I still write, but not as much as I could I guess, mainly because I find taking photos or doodling easier than writing a 10,000 word story (I'm not patient at all xD).
