Skye
That creature was the perfect distraction. I darted into the woods. From no where, the anthem began to play. Faces showed. It was very long tonight. I put my head down, trying to ignore it.
I took off towards the copercournia at a steady pace. Every now and then, i would find something on the ground and throw it away. Like a cow, though it wasn't good for me, I chewed on grass like gum to keep myself semi- partially- full. My throat was parched, but I ignored. I had to get to a safe sleeping area where I couldn't be found before nightfall. I glanced around- trees. Nothing new.
I kept walking, painfully aware of all the animals screeching and watching me. When I saw my savior- a jug of water, full! It wouldn't have all of the chemicals. I sprinted to grab it, like someone else was racing to it as well. I held it up, taking a gulp. quickly, though, I put it down- I needed to save it. It was like a gold mine. Now, to find shelter.
(Arggg, writer's block!)
