Phoenix lands for a review.

Well there is not much I can say that hasn't already been said. All I can say is that you're amazing at imagery a pattern I've noticed in all your works. This like in your other stuff not only brilliantly describes something but describes it in a very artistic way if that makes any sense. It flows together well and unlike most description does not bog down the piece because it fits in seamlessly.

Keep up the good work of course.

I bet what I'm going to say has probably already been talked about, but I won't read the other reviews. Too many :P

Lumierre wrote:The diamond girl was flawless,
her form and gait pristine.
God made her eyes from stars and seas,
and stroked his jealousy.

"My dear," Hell said, "come closer now,"
the virgin girl complied.
He stained her skin like bloody rags
in his lustful devil-eyes.

Then Satan burned her in her sleep
and sewed her lips together;
and with the fires of hell he sealed
her in the glass forever.

Behind the glass, she faded fast
and God would never know
that mirror girl was held captive
with a phantom in her soul.

That's it :) The "the" kind of puts a slight un-rhythm (I know I just made that up) in the rhythm :)

I bet you already have a swelled head because being featured, but this is amazing! An amzing rhythm and I love the whole concept of the poem!

I'm a be hard on this

The diamond girl was flawless,
her form and gait pristine.
God made her eyes from stars and seas,
and stroked his jealousy.

Nice meter, its well done but it makes it sound nursery-rhymy and sing songy and boring. Also, stroked his jealousy? Kinda sounds like God is masturbating. Just sayin' Some of the words seemed a bit rushed because of the meter. Like gait, and stroked his jealousy.

"My dear," Hell said, "come closer now,"
the virgin girl complied.
He stained her skin like bloody rags
in his lustful devil-eyes.

describing hell as having ;lustful devil' eyes i dumb. Its like saying 'green grassy grass'. Also bloody rags sounds like some kind of weird code for something about menstrual cycles.

Then Satan burned her in her sleep
and sewed her lips together;
and with the fires of hell he sealed
her in the glass forever.

you have a character change from Hell to Satan, but that's because of that damn METER. I thought maybe there was some sort of pattern for rhyme, but there isn't and it upsets me. You should either have a consistent pattern, or none at all.

Behind the glass, she faded fast
and God would never know
that mirror girl was held captive
with a phantom in her soul.

such a weak ending. She faded away and God didn't know and probably didn't care, this is the first time we hear her referred to as 'the mirror girl' which is problematic because it has a lot of implications that are never really spoken about.

So its hard to talk about poems like this because they live inside such a rigid structure, so I guess what I'd say is... good job. This form is really hard and usually forgotten and you've actually got meter down unlike a lot of other people who try this kind of thing. SO remember, consistent rhyme scheme... and try to be more creative with your descriptions. its easy to be bland with such a tight form.

I really enjoyed the poem. The whole story of it was great. I really liked how you used religion in a story part of which is about temptation in a similar to the Snake in the story of Adam and Eve which I think was clever. I think it was overall a great poem

favorite line, defiantly. This poem is honestly flawless, at least to me. You are very talented.

You talk of her in a way that God made her special. However, you say that she complies to Hell's wishes. I like the rhyme and flow, but there's no reason she'd comply...why would she? She's God's girl. A 'special' one. Also, don't you think God would over see his unique creation? Especially if jealousy is involved. Wouldn't he storm Hell and get her back?

Behind the glass, she faded fast
(The rhyme here is forced and almost predictable. Change this first line up.)

and God would never know
that mirror girl was held captive
with a phantom in her soul.

I like it for the image. However, some parts need fixing.

Wow! I loved the poem. It was descriptive, yet sparse in unnecessary detail.
Behind the glass, she faded fast
and God would never know
that mirror girl was held captive
with a phantom in her soul.

This stanza caught my eye. The girl is captive, longing for someone to find her, and in the end, it seems that even God doesn't know she's captive. It is heartfelt and inspirationally sad to read.

This was verrry good. I like this part a lot. Yes, I have to say, you have major talent.
Although I would've put then, instead of and, and works too.
I liked the way you expressed yourself strongly and showed how jealous & mad Satan was at the beautiful girl.

Behind the glass, she faded fast
and God would never know
that mirror girl was held captive
with a phantom in her soul.

This part I LOVED! This has to be my favorite part. I didn't find many mistakes. So your good.
Hope I helped.

First of all, that's just plain genius. AMAZING :D
Imagery was fantastic.
In the first stanza, though, there's the part about "his jealousy" which I think should be changed to "Hell's jealousy" because I'm pretty sure that's what it's referring to, right? Plus in that line I'm thinking "stoked" would have been better than "stroked" because stroked sounds like he's purposefully taunting Hell, which just isn't in character. Unless you meant to do that, because I notice God just kind of forgets the girl once Hell gets her.
Also, "with the fires of hell he sealed" is the only line that feels a little awkward, like the wording doesn't exactly fit the rhythm right. (Note that this could be because I'm reading it wrong...)
Great as is, though.
