June 27 (GMT) Will Be A Reviewing Sunday

Check out the Check in thread Some of you might remember that on the last Sunday of January, we had a big reviewing day that went really well. So, we're going to be doing it again, and if successful, we'll be doing it the last Sunday of every month. So what happens during a reviewing day? No new literary works can be submitted (you can wait 24 hours!) The Featured Works block on the front page is changed to a Last 5 Reviews block You can earn up to 200 points per review instead of the normal 100 A check-in thread in the Lounge for letting everyone know how many reviews you've done And to make things a bit more interesting, the top 3 reviewers of the day will receive a copy of the Young Writers Literary Journal. If any of the top 3 already have one, then they'll get a YWS notebook from our emporium. Now, because the Earth is round and it tends to spin, not everyone has Sunday at the same time (this for some reason confused people last time). So we're going to go by Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) and declare 12:01 am GMT to 11:59 pm GMT as the YWS Reviewing Sunday. Some international times for that are below: United Kingdom : 1:01 am (Sunday) to 12:59 am (Monday) United States & Canada Atlantic: 9:01 pm (Saturday) to 8:59 pm (Sunday) Eastern: 8:01 pm (Saturday) to 7:59 pm (Sunday) Central: 7:01 pm (Saturday) to 6:59 pm (Sunday) Western: 6:01 pm (Saturday) to 5:59 pm (Sunday) Pacific: 5:01 pm (Saturday) to 4:49 pm (Sunday) New Zealand: 12:01 pm (Sunday) to 11:59 am (Monday) Australia Eastern: 10:01 am (Sunday) to 9:59 am (Monday) Central: 9:31 am (Sunday) to 9:29 am (Monday) Western: 8:01 am (Sunday) to 7:59 am (Monday) India: 5:31 (am) Sunday to 5:29 am (Monday)

Indeed, but preferably stuff posted in June 2010 (especially those with 0 or only 1 review). Yet, it's not like anyone is going to hold it against you for reviewing something older than that.

Great! I am very in. Only...I don't know what time zone I am. :oops:

I always figured it was just Eastern, but what's the difference between that and Atlantic? I live in NH, if that's any help.

You're in Eastern. (it's not called Atlantic.)

Cool! Thanks for letting us know which timezones go when!

EDIT: I also really like the fact that the info icon thing on the index page is BLUE - a lovely colour. Much calmer and less desperate than the red of the sad panda/monkey. It's encouraging.

Well, I'll try my best. I thought I had a chance of getting the YWS Literary Journal, until I looked at the number of reviews that everyone has already. Why does GMT for me have to start during the night? Sigh. Good work with the incentive though. It seems everyone is reviewing now!
