Welcome to YWS!!

That's brilliant that you've been writing in English since the start of the year, a real achievement. Don't be afraid to put anything up on here, we'd be more than happy to help you develop your English language skills further!!

What about you? What's your favourite book? Fave movie? Fave band? Do you prefer to read in French or in English?

See you around!!
I will eviscerate you in fiction. Every pimple, every character flaw. I was naked for a day; you will be naked for eternity.

Welcome to YWS! If you have any questions at all, please Private Message me. (PM) I'll do my best to answer any questions you ask. French is one of my favorite languages! I am trying to learn it myself. Maybe you could give me tips sometime. Please post some of the things you write up here. I would love to read any of your works. Well anyway, welcome!

Hiya Lolryne/(a) French girl! ^^ Welcome to YWS!
So, do you come from France? Are you just French? Or, even better, are you still living in France? Living in France sounds awesome. I would love to visit soon! (Also...do you know any French? Haha, I have so many questions.)
I hope you're liking YWS already. It's pretty easy to explore, since all the forums are organized very nicely right here. My favorite forums are the Will Review for Food forum (where you ask for extra work reviews), the Lounge (where you just chill), and the Randomness Forum (for when you're just bored). The Questions and Answers forum is great for if you have any questions. Or, if you would like, you can just PM a mod (users with green names) your question/problem.
Well, I think that basically covers a good chunk of it all for you. Get posting! Looking forward to seeing you around-

All Europeans are awesome and France is super duper awesome. Welcome to YWS and hopefully you'll enjoy the company of some of us other writers although I'll warn you some of us bite. ;)

I'm sure English is a pain to learn because we are so strange, but hopefully it isn't to bad. If you don't mind I have a few questions.

How did you find YWS?

What do you guys regularly drink in France?

Favorite country besides France? (USA hint hint? lol)

Wah! Thank you so much for such an amazing greeting! <3<3<3 This forum looks awesome already, I'm sure I will have a great time lurking around!

Austenite -> I like to read both in French and in English, that depends! True be told I haven't read anything in French for a long time now since I'm reading all the Sherlock Holmes stories (in english, right) and it takes me a long time XD But otherwise, both are fine!

Kamas -> Sure <3 I'd love to!

Esther Sylvester -> Noted! Thank you so much for the help <3 And yeah, sure, I'd help you without problem with French if you need it ; ) Just PM me about it!

Kaedee -> I still live in France, just 30min away from Paris =) French is my first language
Aw, thank you for the rec XD I will be looking them all, they sounds awesome! And thank you so much for suggesting me to PM you if needed, that's really sweet of you!

Day -> English is okay : ) Some things are a little tricky sometimes but most of the time it's okay! I mean, you guys have an intelligent, efficient language, our is sooo crazy when you try to learn it, I won't complain!
I found YWS thanks to Jagged! And about drinking, I don't do it myself very often but yeah, we drink a bit of everything : beer, wine, cocktails... If you mean with alcohol, of course
And my favourite country, I don't know yet, I haven't see much yet XD I've never been in USA, so I will say Italy <3 That's an amazing place

Hello Ms. Frenchfries. Just kidding there. :)

So welcome here! It's a website that can surely improve your English, and will help you develop your writing skills as well. I know you can be an expert in English, since French, in my humble opinion, is harder to learn. PM the moderators (in green) if you need help. I don't have more to say, so see ya around!

I've been to Italy! It is the only other country I've been to besides the United States, and it sure is incredible. I didn't visit everywhere, but out of the places I got to see Venice was the coolest.

Heya Lolryne. :D

You're in the Storybook that I'm in! Woop! :smt048 Because of that, you are officially cool. You are in my opinion, anyway. Plus, you're French, therefore even cooler. I love the French language... even though I can only speak a tiny bit of it! The most complicated word that I can use is ennyeux. I don't even think I spelt that right.

Welcome to The Young Writer's Society!

Like others have said, YWS is a great site. There are a load of great people on here that I am sure you will get along with. I am even more sure that you are going to make some awesome friends as well! If you have any problems for the site. For example, if you want to know where something is, all you need to do is ask me. Just send me a private message and I will be at your assistance!

If you have a more serious problem though, you should contact a Moderator. Like with me, all that you need to do is send them a private message. In case you don't know, a Moderator is one of those cool people who's usernames are green. My favourite colour. :smt016

By what I can tell f this post, and some of your Storybook posts, your written English is very good! I could never write in French as well as you can in English. I would look like an idiot if I tried... I am very impressed by you're writing skills! Your grammar also looks pretty good; even better!

So yeah, if you need anything, you know who to ask.

Salut!

xoxo Skins

:smt063 <--- Here's a Robin Hood smiley thing for you... he's cool.
I didn't know what to put here so I put this.

Yay! Someone who is French! I've been wondering when we would get someone from France on here. I do know that we have a bunch of members who like to go to French writing sites to practice their writing, so it seems like it's the reverse in this case.

Also, you are quite good in English! I don't understand French at all, lol. I can get it when I hear it (because it sounds kind of like Spanish, if you pretend) but I can't, for the life of me, actually read it.

Anyway, welcome! :D

Hey, French Girl XD

Welcome to YWS! Like the others, I'm all agog to find a real live French person on YWS, lol. I've just started taking French lessons, so I guess I have an ulterior motive for saying hi, but seriously, it's great to have some more non-Americans on here. Also: another Sherlock Holmes reader! Awesome :D

Happy lurking, and as Kaedee said, just PM if you need anything or have any questions! Your English is way better than my French, so I'm sure you'll fit in fine.

Cheers,
~bubbles
Got a poem or short story you want me to critique?

There is only one success: to be able to spend your life in your own way, and not to give others absurd maddening claims upon it. (C D Morley)

The tools of conquest do not necessarily come with bombs and explosions and fallout. There are weapons that are simply thoughts, attitudes, prejudices; to be found only in the minds of men. For the record, prejudices can kill, and suspicions can destroy. A thoughtless, frightened search for a scapegoat has a fallout all of its own.
