The morning sunlight crept through the small window beside me, creating shadows all over the room. Fluttering my eyelids open, I stretched my arms out above my head. For a second, I forgot that I was in China and I forgot all about the SIS. Once I did realise, a pleasured grin spread across my face. It felt good not having my mother calling me a lazy sod in the morning.
I sat up in my bed and observed my surroundings. I was the only one left in the room, the others must have already been downstairs. I was a pretty lazy guy, I had to admit. Ah well, sleep was good for you. I more or less jumped out of bed, excited about the day ahead of me. Rather quickly, I took off my t-shirt and replaced it with a new one. I then grabbed my jacket and lifted my hood up. I didn't bother changing my jeans, they didn't smell or anything. That meant they weren't dirty, right?
Skipping downstairs, I cheerfully whistled to myself. There didn't seem to be many people around upstairs, they must have all be downstairs. It didn't take me long to reach the bunker.
"Yo, guys!" I practically sang. "How is everyone this fine morning?"
By the looks of it, not good. I laughed as I realised that most of them had hangovers. I felt pretty darn proud of myself at that moment, I hadn't drunk an ounce of alcohol last night. Still chuckling to myself, I sat down next to Erika. She was one of the few who didn't seem to have a hangover.
As I sat down, she glanced at me but didn't say anything. What was up with everyone in this place? It was like being in a funeral. These guys needed to lighten up a bit. For the second time, I chuckled to myself. That got me a rather unimpressed glare from Reet. It was so tempting to start singing... loudly...
