"I'm so glad you're okay," I murmered, backing up. That was a little...awkward...but hey, it's not like I had never hugged my sisters back home.

She smiled at me. "So am I."

I laughed and turned around. "I think this calls for a hunt. Who wants to come with me to go find some decent meat?" I grabbed my hand pistol from my pocket and swung it in circles around my finger, grinning semi-maniacly.

Saphire grinned. "You'd better get going if you plan on catching anything intime for supper."

I nodded, it was getting late already. "Who wants to come with me? I won't be able to touch it after it's dead."

I shrugged. "I'll go." I said coolly. He looked at me skeptically and I smiled at him. "Easy peezy lemon squeezy." I said waving my hand around.
"You are without a doubt, the worst pirate I've ever heard of."

"But you have heard of me."

I would come too but it seemed like they had it under control. i stayed where I was, my eyes closed and my head pounding. This headache sucked terribly.....

I grinned at Saphire. "Okay, looks like we've got our hunting party. We need a fire. A big one." My grin broadened.

"Big fires...I can do that," Gemma said, smirking slightly. This was going to be one heck of a party.

"And music. I can supply that." I glanced at Saph. She was a pretty good musician herself.

She nodded. "Definately."

I looked over at Wren. Her eyes were closed and she looked like she was in pain. My smile faded and I walked over to her. "You okay?" One of her eyes opened slightly. She looked like she was in pain. "Maybe you should sit down..."

I walked over to Wren after she had sat down and placed my fingers on her forehead and chanted as quietly as I could knowing that Tarrion probably heard me "Headache come out of the marrow and into the bones out of the bones into the blood out of the blood into the flesh out of the flesh upon the skin from the skin into Wren's hair out of the hair into the green forest out of the green forest into the dry sand as sure as the God moves within the Goddess and out into the land." I pulled my fingers away from her forehead and blew three times at the ground. "How do you feel?" I asked her. She looked at me in amazement and said "The pain is gone." I smiled amazed at the simple chant that I had learned a long time ago could have such a big impact.

I blinked, taking a step back. "That was....bizzare Saph," I murmered. I had no idea what else to say to that one.

She beamed at me. "Simple chant. Apparently it works."

"Apparently." I laughed and shook my head. "If Wren's okay, we should get going."

Wren nodded. "I'm fine. I'll stay and help Gemma get things set up."

I strolled over to Domi and pecked her on the lips. "See ya in a bit." I grinned, feeling mischevious. I was really going to go through with my insane plan, Kyle or no Kyle. Speaking of Kyle...I glanced over at him. He looked pissed. I nodded at Matt and Logan. "Keep an eye on that one," I whispered.

They nodded and Saph and I started off. Time to find us some nice meat for tonight. Assuming I didn't have to make any contact with it before it was cooked, I'd be fine.

While they worked on hunting, I worked on sitting back down. I didn't want to sit, but the one leg I could stand on was killing me. The only spot I could find to sit without having to hop and hurt my side any more than it was, and split it open more, was the cot, but I didn't want to sit there. I took a tiny step forward, putting as little pressure on my hurt leg as possible. That idea wasn't the best. Pain shot up my leg, and I fell toward the ground. Thankfully, Wren had caught me before I fell. I thanked her and she helped me to sit. I ended up on the ground watching as everyone did their thing. I was probably the only one who couldn't do anything, though I wanted to help so bad.

I shot a glance at Kyle. He was angry. I wasn't mad at him for some strange reason. I just wished he'd realize Tar was going to win, even if that meant putting a bullet in Kyle's head. Violence was so...I hated it, to put it in simple words. Unless there is a need, violence should not be used. I wasn't one of those girls who went around acting tough, but when someone needs me, like when Kyle had Domi, I'll fight. Or when the beast was attaching them, and I had to help. I wasn't generally mad at it, which was why it was still alive to attack them.

I listened to everyone as they worked together. I remembered a poem my sister used to whisper to me on every full moon.

"Alone I sit, quietly I watch, softly I sing. A song for the birds of the sky, the fish of the sea, the flowers of the earth, the angels of the heavens. Hear me as I sing to you. There is one young girl who's future is untold, who's powers are unknown, who's beauty is far beyond anything any man has ever seen. Take with her, she does, her books and her love, the moon at her side. Mother nature, she is, so that one day the world will open to the heavens, and her tears shall softly fall...Alone I sit, quietly I watch, softly, I sing..."

I didn't really understand it, but it was beautiful anyway. I always went to sleep on a fool moon dreaming of rain and the moon, which I could always see just outside my window. I was so far in thought, I had tuned out the world.

Saphire and I walked quickly and quietly through the forest, keeping our ears open. Saphire nudged me slightly and I turned. "I heard something rustling in the bushes over there," she murmered, pointing at a small thicket.

I grinned and got my gun ready, eyeing the thicket, trying to be patient. Sure enough, a twig snapped inside. I bit my lip, fighting off excitement. Finally I was going to eat meat. Meat! I was getting sick of berries and nuts, and they weren't that filling. Gather a lot, eat even more.

A large buck stepped out of the thicket and it took every ounce of self control not to shout out in joy. Apparently somebody up there was taking pity on me today. Annie was up, we had a deer...everything except for the fact that Kyle wanted to rip me to shreds was absolutely perfect.

I aimed my gun at the creature's head and hesitated. I had never actually shot anything with this gun...nothing but tin-cans and wooden targets. Just shoot it! It's survival, not sport after all. I bit my lip harder, drawing blood. I didn't dare move a hand to wipe it off my chin. Come on Tar, shoot the gun... The deer's ears pricked up. It was now or never... I pulled the trigger and the thing let out a terrible throaty moaning noise. I shivered before realizing what I had just done.

"I shot it! I actually shot it!" I was so proud of myself at that moment.

Saphire squealed and ran over to it, thrilled. "Nice! Right through the eye!"

I grinned. "Lots of practice. You do realize that you're going to have to carry it right?"

She laughed. "I guess so..."

I rolled my eyes for no apparent reason as she slung the thing over her shoulders, grunting with the effort. She stumbled forwards a few steps before regaining balance. I chuckled and turned around, taking only a few steps before tripping.

"What the..." I pushed myself onto my shoulders and stared at the ground. A large plastic container sat half-hidden in the leaves. I blinked at it. "What on earth? Saph! You've gotta see this!" I called, waving her over.

It was too perfect. They took it, only asking themselves a few questions. Either they were way to smart and understood what this meant, or they were just stupid twerps like Sam said. Hopefully the second. I snapped a few pictures for proof, though I was sure she would believe me. I always did a good job! I never failed. It was a promise. I fail, I die. I hoped that I wouldn't fail, though I was sure I wouldn't.

The pain of my headache was gone- Saph had taken care of that- yet somehow I had a feeling it was still there, a feeling that weirded me out beyond belief. And I felt like I knew why, like it was some distant memory I was supposed to remember but didn't.

I shook away the thoughts and turned towards Annie. "Hey, how're you feeling?" I asked lightly, trying to hide my worry and underlining feeling of doom.

>I can't wait to tell them!<

"No better and no worse. I feel like a bad luck magnet. I wish I could crawl under a rock and die! But for everyone's sake, I don't think I will. I'm trying to make it out alive on this one." She nodded, humming to herself. It was familiar, but too low for me to hear to actually understand why it was familiar.

"You know," I said. She stopped, looking up at me.

"What's that?" She asked. I thought out my words before speeking them.

"I feel loved, for the first time in forever. I actually have a family again. One where my moms not dieing in front of my eyes, and my sister isn't busy worrying about what I draw in my book--" my mouth snapped shut. So maybe I didn't choose my words all that well. She looked up at me, her head turned sideways. That was something nobody but my sister knew about.

What I drew in my books where secret, but she would read them and look at the pictures I drew. My pictures and stories weren't just random, off the top of my head stories. I had a thing for seeing the futer, and what I saw, I drew in my notebooks. My sister was "The Keeper of The Notebooks", as I called her.

But I missed her so much. She was my best friend. I always needed a friend, and she was the one I went to. I twisted the ring around my finger. My mother had given it to me before she died from cancer. I looked down at the silver and diamonds. Beautiful.

Where were Logan and mat, right now i really didn't care... as long as i wasn't left alone with kyle. That's it i had it. I couldn't stand being near him after all he's done to me... tarrion was right, i could have been pregnant with someone else's child. Then would he have loved me? I mentally screamed at myself to SHUT UP! My head was beginning to hurt. I went into the tent to clean up. I noticed i had no clean clothes. So i grabbed them all and headed for the stream. I needed some time alone.

KYLE

She was heading for the stream. That stream flowed across most of the island. I tugged on the ropes again. Ha! Did these morons even know how to tie knots. I tugged again and the ropes slid off. Now where were those two guys who were supposed to watch me? Out of sight. Good, I dove into the bushes and stalked towards the stream. Domi would be mine!

I looked up from all of my thoughts, glancing at the tree where Kyle was, then back to the chickens then back to the tree. Kyle was gone. I stood up, trying to ignore all of the pain that crossed through me. My leg hurt more than anything, and I knew I shouldn't be going after the same guy who put me down the first place. I fell a few times, but got back up, and began walking again. I heard Domi scream, and I hurried to the river where I'd seen her go.

As I got into the clearing, I saw that Kyle had Domi, holding her face. She kicked him, trying to get away. I quickly looked around for something, anything, that would get his attention. I found a stick and some rocks. My aim was off, so I chose they stick. I ran towards him, the stick up--I was more limping than running. I struck his head, and he let Domi go, giving her time to run. She stopped turning back to me.

"Go Domi!" I yelled at her as I fell backwards to the ground. He stood over me, kicking me in the stomach. I gasped, and grabbed his leg, pulling it and making him fall. I grabbed the stick, and climbed on his chest. He was way bigger than me, and could have stood up and walked away without any effort to lift me. I was the youngest here in camp.

I used the stick to choke him, looking him in the eyes as he hit my side one more time.

"I swear, you hit me one more time, you're going to really regret it for the rest of your life. I don't want to hurt you, but don't think I'll hesitate at killing you right--" he hit my side again, and I dug my knee into his stomach hard. I hit him harder than I had the first time I hurt him.

Kyle lifted his fist and hit me, knocking me to the ground. All I saw was the darkness, but, this time, all the pain was there. And it didn't stop from being still like last time. I wondered if Kyle had even gotten hurt.

I tried to run. But i needed to know if Annie was alright. I turned back, Kyle was a bit fazed, but he had hurt Annie again. He was going to hurt her even more.
"Stop!" I screeched, running from my hiding spot. I fell to my knees and cradled Annie in my lap. "Please don't hurt her." I was sobbing again. I tried to fight off the tears, they weren't any help to the situation. I should have expected this. I should have seen it coming! I have seen what kyle is capable of and yet i just continued on my merry way. He could have killed Annie!
"Then come with me and I'll leave her alone." I looked up at him. There wasn't much of a choice. I wouldn't let him hurt my new family.
"Fine. One condition, you have to take her back to camp, and let me leave a note for tarrion." He scowled.
"That's two." I sighed, stoking Annie's hair.
"At least bring her back so they can take care of her." He groaned and walked over, picking her up.
"Stay here, if i come back and your gone, I'll hunt you down!" I nodded, sobbing. He took off into the trees, leaving me alone. I pulled my knees up to my chest. Sobbing. Goodbye, family, friends, tarrion...

KYLE

I snuck back to the camp, and propped the stupid psycho chick against the tree i was tied to, if she would have just left me alone, she would be alright. I snuck back through the trees, i could hear the guy domi liked and some chick coming through the trees. I bolted for it, all i needed was to be shot again. Oh ya, he shot my leg. That might explain the huge amount of pain that went through my leg every time i stepped on it. When i reach domi i sat down, wincing in pain.
"What's wrong. Is Annie OK?"
"I'm fine my leg is hurting because of that retard of yours. The crazy chick is fine too." I would take her to the far side of the island. it would be harder to find us there.

When I opened my eyes, I looked around. I had heard them talking before, but I had no clue where they had gone. I heard Tar coming, but I didn't want him to see me, so I snuck back into the forest. I didn't need him to worry any more than he already was. I had to find where they were, I had to help Domi, one way or another.

I stumbled through the forest, not quite sure where I was going. I was lost on the same island I thought I knew so well. I heard something. Domi? Kyle? No, it didn't sound like two pair of footsteps, only one. I crouched down, willing to rest my legs. When I didn't hear anything anymore, I got back up, and began walking again.

I walked and walked and walked. I walked until it got dark. I walked until I was sure I would have blisters on my feet. I finally fell down, and lied there. I didn't care if anyone killed me. I just wanted to die. I didn't care anymore. I mean, I wanted to save Domi, but how could if I couldn't eve keep myself safe.

I heard the footsteps, and the voices, but I wasn't sure who's they were. I wanted them to be Kyle's and Domi's. At least I would have found them.
