My eyes harden. No offense to this guy, but he's not exactly likable. He took at least three minutes to get here from barely over a hundred feet away. I swear, I'd be able to be here faster, even with my prosthetic. Which, by the way, he seemed to stare at. "I'm not calling you 'Crimson Blood' if that's what you mean," I mutter after a moment. Crim glances at my metal leg again.

"That's got to be uncomfortable," he snickers, and I glare at him. Seriously, he's got a pretty twisted view on things. So it seems.

"No freaking duh," I say as I take hold of the tree trunk and pull myself up. Shifting my weight to my left, I find that as long as there's not too much pressure on my right leg it's not bad. Guilty for being rude, I say, "I'm sorry." I'd feel worse if I asked about his scars.

DYLAN

I felt a strange connection to Thorn, even if she insulted me. I had the strangest feeling i already knew her. I decided to do some exploring of my own. It wasn't long until i met up with two other people. I ran over waving my arm.
"Hey, I'm Dylan. Do you two know why we are here, or why we can't remember anything?" The girl looked up at me, she shook her head.
"No, do, do you?" shook my head.
"Nope, sorry." She looked disappointed, but what could i do? The guy held out his hand.
"I am Aaron." I shook his hand. The girl smiled again.
"I'm Heidi."

CRIMSON

I shook my head. "Don't be. It was rude of me to snicker at you. I meant no offense by it." I wanted back to the forest, back to my solitude. I wasn't in a very sociable mood at the momment. "I'm going to be leaving now. Follow me if you will, but I'm not promising I'll make good company." I smirked. "Neither will the jaguar."

I turned quickly and ran back to the cover of the trees, just to irritate Kade.

He turns and walks into the forest. Unsure what else to do, I hobble after him. "Just so you know," I call after him, "I'm a little slow. I'll probably lose track of you anyway." I pause. "One more thing?" I say like a question.

"What?" Crim answers without turning around.

"It didn't work. I don't hate you." He may act like an asshole, but it probably means he needs to come out of his shell more. That's just the feeling I get.

Crim doesn't say anything, and maybe it's my imagination, but he slows a bit. Or maybe I'm getting faster.

I turned my back to Kade again, grinning. I slowed up just a bit for a reason I couldn't name. The girl was being descent, I didn't have to be totally heartless did I? I whistled into the trees and Stealth plodded up, happy as ever.

"You were serious about the jaguar thing?" Kade asked, startled.

I chuckled and turned back to her. "What? You think I'd lie about something like that? He won't hurt you." I smirked. "Without reason." I turned again and continued walking, wondering if Kade would be so keen on following me now.

Why does it seem, every time that Crim turns around, that he expects me to freak out? Okay, he has a jaguar. That is creepy, and beyond weird, but he said it wouldn't hurt me, so...Oh God I need to stop trusting people. This thing could leap forward and kill me at any given moment. Now I'm being ridiculous!

Trying to put on a I-am-perfectly-okay-with-this-jaguar-being-here act, I keep following. To be honest, it doesn't seem too dangerous at all. I reach out my hand to pet it, then jerk it back. What am I doing? "What's his name?" I ask without thinking.

"Stealth," Crim replied, still smirking. It still seems as though he expects me to run or pass out or something. Well, not gonna happen buddy! Keep waiting.

[I'll just let other people get a chance to post now! lol]

I glanced back at Kade, throughly ammused. I didn't know what she expected out of me, but it was obviously something dark. Murder perhaps. Of course I really wasn't the killing type, it just appeared that way at first. I was actually quite soft, but as if I was going to let her know that.

I patted Stealth's head, sighing. I was dead bored, there didn't seem to be much to do. My ammusement was already dieing, which was never a good sign. I looked around the forest, trying to find something to ammuse me shortly. I noted a pine sapling that looked like it could use a bit of help and walked towards it, getting down on my knees.

I pulled a few weeds from around it to give it more room. Satisified I stood up, brushed my hands off and turned to Kade. She looked ammused.

I turned around and saw no one. That was odd. Must be my mind playing tricks on me. I turned back to the water. It was so peaceful, the way the waves rippled and the water moved. Until the wind picks up and the waves become violent enough to take down a boat and claim the lives of the people on it.

I sighed as i got up. I was getting cold from all the rain. I wonder if it was bothering the others, wait, why do i care? I walked of into the woods, maybe something on this island could explain who i am, or how i got here.

I heard twigs snapped and turned quickly towards the noise. I grinned to see Thorn stumbling through the bushes. "Stalker or stumbler?" I called out to her.

She glared at me. "Excuse me?"

"Never mind," I muttered, chuckling to myself.

She eyed Stealth and stopped dead in her tracks. "He won't hurt you. I swear it on my life." I placed a hand dramatically over my heart, still grinning.

A smile crept across her face and she approached him, much to my shock. Usually people either avoided him or ran for the hills. "What's his name?" she asked casually.

"Stealth," I answered, turning to Kade. "You two might introduce yourselves."

"Why can't you?" she asked, rolling her eyes.

I mimiced her eyeroll. "Because I stink at introductions."

I looked over at the girl, hm fake leg. Great. What ever these 'games' were, i don't think that would help. I stroked the Jaguar's head as i looked up at her.
"I'm thorn." She smiled and i rolled my eyes. Right, smile, while we are stuck on an island and not knowing what is wanted of us.
"I'm Kade." She smiled again. I knelt down to get level with the jaguar.
"You know, jaguars are quite amazing. A creature of the hunt. Stalking it's prey down to the last second of it's life. I looked up to the others, excuse my very... disturbing mind."
The girl looked shook her head, like she had been dazed.
"Um, that's okay." I looked up at Crim.
"So does she know why we are here?" I nodded my head in her direction. Crim shook his head,
"No. Have you managed to find out anything?" I stood up straight again, and dusted myself off.
"Ya, I wok up in a cabin and on the front of the cabin in big bold letters is..." I cleared my throat. "Island Games Lounge. But since when do game show hosts drug the competitors? And the rooms and very..." I shuddered. "Quaint."

"Lounge eh?" I asked, crossing my arms. "So we're on some sort of game? Who in their right mind would do anything so sick as to make somebody forget their past?" It was really actually quite sickening. I would give anything to relearn my past again.

Thorn nodded. "Well perhaps the past isn't something worth remembering," she suggested.

"The past is always worth remembering. It shapes who you are, who you'll become." I turned to Kade, making it evident the debate was over. I really didn't feel like arguing. "What next?" I asked her. To think, a guy like me had two stalkers. Ha, slight shift on the balance of things. Not that I wasn't flattered or anything...

I couldn't hold back a smirk, earning me Kade's raised eyebrow.

I looked over at him. Quickly mumbling out.
"Ya well if you felt as miserable as i do when your past is mentioned then maybe you wouldn't want to remember it." I rethought what i had said in my head, ya it made since to me. I scoffed and started walking past them, they had lost my interest. "I'm going to try and figure out why in heks name I'm here." I heard footsteps behind me. It wasn't exactly an invitation but whatever. At least that Dylan freak wasn't around.

I looked back at the jaguar smiling. A creature of the hunt. So majestic yet so... violent.

I try to be nice. Really, I do, but right now I feel like I could snap Thorn's arm in half. What the hell is wrong with me? She did nothing wrong besides...well, not be nice back. More like give me irritated looks. I did nothing! She's bringing down the already negative mood, seemingly on purpose. Optimism obviously isn't her strong point. I just don't understand why I feel the need to pound it into her. Oh, the irony...

Why such a tiny thing as an irritated look upset me to the point of murderous anger, I don't know. If I knew my past, it might tell me why, but maybe Thorn has a point, and a right to be so bitter. Maybe I don't want to know. Now I can't help but wonder if I'm bipolar.

On the bright side, I really am getting used to my stump. The pain isn't too great as long as I stay off it while I walk.

Aaron

I walk into my cabin and look around. Out of the corner of my eye, i see a note on the bed. I pick the note up and read it.

You've arrived on the island. Now what? Be the first one to get off the island alive and you win. Good luck!

I read the note three times before it really starts to sink in. This is all just a game? We may never actually get off the island? This is bad. Really bad. I start to pace around the room, not sure what to do. I decide to leave my cabin and tell the others. I find Heidi and I tell her she needs to come with me. We find the group hanging out in the forest with a jaguar.

"Hey guys, I found a really weird letter in my cabin. You guys need to hear this," I said.

I read the letter out loud and when i was done every one sat in silence, watching me.

Something shining caught my attention. I looked up, in the distance, attached to one of the trees, is, a camera?
"What in heks name?" I pointed up to where the object was shining. "Is that a camera?" Crim and kade looked up as well.
"I believe that's what it is." I glared at crim, it wasn't a question looking for an answer.
"I'm going to check it out." I mumbled running over to the tree. I grabbed a branch and swung myself up. My arms were pretty weak, probably from the constant blood-loss. scrambled up and sure enough it was a camera. A P.A. was on top of it. I almost fell out of the tree as a voice rang out from it.
"All 'guests' to the lobby." The voice sounded familiar, yet eerie and dangerous.

I climbed down, looking at the others.
"Well lets go." they turned, but i felt inpatient. I ran off ahead and reach the lounge before anyone else. I watched as everyone filed in, but i never took my eyes off of the c.d. on the table, labeled 'island games'.
