What are anthologies?
Anthologies are collection of works, and now you can create your own on YWS!
OMG! How do I do this?
To create or view anthologies, go to 'Read / Write' then select 'Anthologies'. Once there, you'll see a link to 'Create your own anthology' as well as a list of the current ones.
Now, Anthologies look very similar to the Novels & Novellas area, but there is one crucial difference. With Novels, YWS is able to automatically determine what chapters may fit in your novel. Obviously, this is impossible for a machine to do with an Anthology.
So instead, as soon as you create an anthology, you'll start seeing little "Add to Anthology" links on topics around YWS. It's up next to topic id, like so:

Click it, and a little blue box will appear asking you which anthology you'd like to add the topic to.
Sounds nifty. What works can I add?
You can add any topic on YWS to an anthology. On top of that, you can add stuff from the Poetry and Short Story Databases (under Resources). Cool, no?
I went from being irrationally exuberant to being skeptical. What's the point of all this?
Anthologies are an easy way to pull all your favorite work into one place. You could make anthologies of just your work, or you could create an anthology of works by your friends. You could make an anthology of your favorite Yeats' poems, or an anthology of your favorite topics in The Lounge. The possibilities are entirely up to you.
Stuff coming in the future
In the future, there'll be a page showing you all the anthologies that have something of yours in it.
And regarding both anthologies and novels, you'll eventually be able to "Like" them. There'll also be a page added for you to easily access anything you liked.
