I grinned back at Tar. "Just as long as we keep in touch with the rest of the escapees." I whisper quietly in his ear kissing his cheek. He looked at me skeptically and I just continued to grin. "My God your serious." He whispered his voice low. I nodded. "Let's face it none of us probably have any family left and if we do they probably don't want us. We are basically all we have left." I whispered back.
"You are without a doubt, the worst pirate I've ever heard of."
I groaned. "I meant of course I will. Get better and live." I seemed to be lieing a lot lately. Then again, what did it even matter? Truth would do us about as much good as a sword to the neck at the moment.
I wrapped my arms around Selene and pulled her head to my chest. At least I could avoid lieing when I spoke to Selene. I glanced up at Taeryn, who didn't seem to know just what to say. I glanced through the bars of our cell, searching for the soft guard. He just might have been our very ticket to escape. Him and Taeryn if we could get to her.
"I don't know," Kale said. I winced. He was still holding my hand, but the room felt cold all of a sudden. I felt like Tar, Selene, Kale and I were alone.
Suddenly, I heard a knock on the door. Tigger and Rajun burst in. "Traffic," Tigger said calmly, shutting the door. "So, whats new?"

I hug Tar resting my head on his chest. "This may sound wierd but I miss Tig." I whispered to Tar. "The wierd thing is so do I." Tar whispered back. "I think he may end up being a good uncle." I blurted out as quietly as I could randomly. I turned a hundred different shades of red and Tar chuckled.
"You are without a doubt, the worst pirate I've ever heard of."
I sighed, not really sure what to do. Obviously I should be exploiting the situation as much as possible... Selene still needed medical attention; though not as life-threatening as Tarrions' had been, there was a definate risk of infection in conditions like this.
I squirmed slightly as they continued to whisper to each other. Really, I shouldn't be letting them talk to each other at all - what had I been thinking?! They were probably already plotting some ridiculous escape plan. And then I'd have to hurt them again as they failed to realise the futility of two wounded teenagers trying to defeat a pretty huge army. Oh well.
"Come on," I muttered, calling over the guard to move Selene back into her cell. He seemed a pretty good guard actually; there hadn't been any impromptu beatings whilst he was on watch. Maybe he deserved a promotion of some sort. I'd ask Talen the next time I ever got to see her for more than thirty seconds.
Selene moved reluctantly into the cell opposite, grumbling as she did so. I rolled my eyes, then crouched down to check Tarrion's wound. It seemed to be healing better, and was more of an angry red than the concerning green of before. Still, he seemed to be in considerable pain. I paused. "Were you given painkillers?" I asked softly. He winced, then shook his head.
I stood up, frowning. "Make sure he gets some painkillers," I instructed the guard, before leaving. I'd come back tomorrow, but for now, where was my assistant?
Elizabeth: "There will come a moment when you will have a chance to show it. To do the right thing." Jack: "I love those moments. I like to wave at them as they pass by."
I stiffened. "Taeryn will be looking for me," I said regretfully. "You all should go."
Not moments after they had left, Taeryn burst in. "Where have you been?" she asked coldly.
"You told me to go to my room, remember?" I said respectfully.

I watched Taeryn go, biting my lip and eyeing the soft guard. He avoided eye contact at all costs. "I'll send someone for those pain killers," he muttered, clearing his throat.
I nodded. "Sel?" I asked, craning my head towards the wall.
"Hmm?" She still sounded embaressed.
"I think he'd make a good uncle, too." I was smiling despite myelf. I eyed the guard, who was shifting uneasily on his feet. Okay, so awkwardish.
"Tar, you wouldn't leave me if I got..." she paused for a second, "pregnant-- would you?" she squeaked, her voice full of terror.
What was wrong with her? "Sel, I love you. Never, would I leave you. Ever." I eyed the guard again, he was starting to fidget. We were making him uncomfortable. I almost laughed at his uncomfortable expression. "If we're making you uncomfortable, you don't have to listen," I told him. I tried to sound kind, but I was throughly ammused.
I sighed. What was wrong with her? She wasn't usually like this. Unless...
"Well I'm glad to hear that Tar because I am." I said in a voice barely above a whisper. The guard looks at me with shock evident on his face and I grin broadly at him.
"You are without a doubt, the worst pirate I've ever heard of."
Had there been anything in my mouth at the moment, I would have spit it out. I was overjoyed and horrified all at the same time. Horrified at how Selene was being treated down here; horrified at the life our child may have. Overjoyed with the prospect of everything else.
"Seriously?! I can't believe it! How far along are you?!" I demanded, my excitement boiling, a smile making its way across my face. I shoved the negative thoughts aside.
"Almost two months now," she piped up.
I eyed the guard who nodded at me. A congradulations? Possibly. "Wow, I can't believe it!" I smirked when I thought about Tig's reaction. Oh this would be interesting.
The guard cleared his throat and we looked back at him. "If you don't want me to tell anybody, I won't. I don't dare think of what they might do to you if they found out..." he trailed off.
"Thank you, you have no clue what that could possibly mean to either of us," I said, choking up. I nodded at him respectfully. "Oh my gosh Selene, I love you!"
I smiled gently at the guard. "Thank you so much." He nodded. "I love you Tar and so does Iris." "Iris?" He asked curioiusly. "That's her name if she's a girl." I said grinning as I said so. "What if it's a boy?" He asked incredously. "How about Tamarisk? Tam for short" I suggested. "Sounds good to me. I can't believe it I'm going to be a dad." He said overjoyed.
"You are without a doubt, the worst pirate I've ever heard of."
Taeryn nodded and left. I hurried up towards Tarrion and Selene. I had to see how the surgery had went. Kale appeared from where he had been 'working' and followed me. "I'm sure they're fine," he whispered.
I nodded, my teeth clenched nervously. We walked up the tower stairs into the room. The guard didn't even glance our way as we raced towards Selene and Tarrion. "Are you ok?"
Tarrion nodded. Selene was practically shining.
Suddenly, I realized there was something else going on. "What is it?" I asked.
When your life is based around the face of Sawyer from Lost you know you're officially obsessed. -- Join Isha's SB, the Shadows! And mine, Lament of Innocence! And LDR's, Dark Fey! And- ok, I'm going to shut up now.
I grinned broadly at Aris and Kale. "I'm pregnant." I bursted out happily. Aris looked at me with a shocked expression on his face Kale's face mimicking hers. "Well Aunt Aris and Uncle Kale what do you think?" I asked teasingly still grinning. "I'm going to be an Aunt." Aris asked her voice barely above a whisper. I nodded and she grinned broadly right back at me. "Am I the only one wondering how she got pregnant?" Tar and Kale bursted out in synch. Aris and I looked at each other and I said slowly in a childish voice "See when a mommy and daddy love each other very much..." "STOP!" Kale and Tar shouted in synch again.
"You are without a doubt, the worst pirate I've ever heard of."
Okay, well..that was messed up. "Oh, nevermind. I'm going to be a flipping father!" I laughed.
The guard shook his head. "Woah, woah woah! Aris? Kale? Weren't you the..." he trailed off.
We all froze. Dammit! I thought to myself, burrying my head into my hands. As if that would do any good. It seemed like forever before anybody said anything.
"I swear it on my life I won't rat you out. I can't do that, especially not to a pregnant woman..." Aris squealed and threw her arms around the man.
"Thank you! Thank you so much!" I muttered, shaking off the shock. The man was simply amazing. "Wow...I still can't believe I'm going to be a father." I glanced at Kale, looking for his reaction. He was too busy staring at Aris and the guard to notice.
Aris pulled away from a now chuckling guard. "I'll see what I can do to get you guys out of here," he promised.
I couldn't believe what I was hearing. He was going to what?! My smile would have widened had it not been as big as it could possibly get. "Tig, you're awefully silent for once," I noted. He hadn't said a word...odd for Tigger. "You obviously proved us right. One plus one does indeed, equal three."
"Damnit someone let me out of my cage." I shouted angrily. Aris looked at the guard and he unlocked it. I glomped Tig as tightly as I can and he just stood there with a WTF expression on his face. "Congrats Tig you are an uncle." I said stepping back and grinning at him. He looked stunned for a moment and then smiled a real smile not a twisted smile and I laughed out of sheer happiness. I hug Kale then Aris.
"You are without a doubt, the worst pirate I've ever heard of."
