OK, well I'll post my profile in a minute...I guess we could start...it doesn't take many people to do a SB...too many make it overcrowded...and confusing!
Hakuna Matata <3 RIP to all my friends who didn’t make it.
I looked out of the classroom door, and down the hall. It was empty, and quiet. Others started to peak out as well, but no one said a word.
I closed the door shut, then turned. The others in the room were watching me.
Well, what's going on?" one of them asked.
"There are no adults. I don't know what's going on."
They started to get worried. I tried to remain calm, but things were just too irrational right now.
"Get everyone together in the same room." I said. "That would make us all, I'm sure, feel a little better."
After a while, we were all gathered in a large room. Everyone was chattering, but it felt so much different than it normally did when we all talked. No one was laughing, or even smiling. I got everyone quiet.
"Does anyone know anything about what's going on?" I asked, my voice shaking. No one answered.

I'd come back to my classroom from my locker to find a group of people huddled in it. Most of them weren't from my class. They were all chattering softly, but I could only catch snippets of what they were saying, they were so eerily quiet.
"Does anyone know what's going on?" I heard, and then silence. I closed the door behind me and crossed to the middle of the room where my desk was, and sat in it.
"Mein Gott," I murmured in annoyance. "Just look out the window." I glanced in that direction myself to see what was possibly the strangest thing I'd ever seen in my life. While they all turned, I calmly reached into my pocket for my cell phone. That was it; I'd just call my host family and ask what it was all about. Maybe they'd get in touch with the other parents and we'd all be picked up.
"No service?" I noticed. "Convenient."

One...two...three...four...I counted my footsteps back to the classroom. I hated it when I did that. It was always on my mind how many times I took a step, I ate a piece of bread, or anything in that case. When i got back to the class room, I forgot about all of that. People were huddled up, confused. I stepped back out into the hall, not really counting my steps then. Others had gone out too. I was confused more than anything. One of the explained what was going on when I went back in the room. I took a deep breath, sitting in the corner of the room. To pass the time while they were planning--or just because I couldn't help it--I counted everyone in the classroom.
Again and again, more people would come in, then leave, so I would have to start over. It got my mind off of the situation. No adults? What a tragedy, I thought sarcastically. I let my hair fall into my face, keeping my tears hidden. I was worried that we would be gone next. I really didn't want to die. I was 16, and I had a whole life ahead of me. I hadn't even had someone to love yet. Well, other than my parents, but I didn't really like how they were drunk 24/7.

I was almost in tears. Still, I tried to find ways to cheer myself up. I thought of old memories, but nothing seemed to help.
"I remember when I would be thrilled to have all the adults gone." A girl named Anika said to me.
I laughed through my tears. "It's funny how fast things can turn. Like how everything was perfectly normal, and now look where we are. Trapped in a school."
I looked around, and noticed that a lot of others were crying too. I thought about my parents, wondering if they were safe or not. I wondered what was going to happen, and when it would. I wondered what I should do, but I couldn't think about anything.

I had never been more confused in my life. We were trapped here in school. The last place I had planned on dieing. But I wasn't going to die; not if I could help it. None of us would die. That was when I'd totally forgotten about my OCD. The whole time we were locked in the school, I had forgot that I should have been counting windows, or student, or how many steps I took.

"Well," I said, and paused. It was the first time I didn't hear snickers at how I pronounced the word. "Well, we just have to..." It was still awkward. "...wait it out for a bit. I'm sure there are adults outside the school, yes? So, they will come and find us. Police and such. They have special gear for biological accidents, which is clearly what this is." Actually, I wasn't clear on that either, but I wouldn't let them know that.
"So," I continued, standing up, "the adults here, like the idiots they were, probably went outside to check it out and died or something." There were a few fearful cries from the other students, but I just kept pacing. "But when that happened, maybe our families were warned, so they won't leave until it's safe. But we'll have help coming in no time. It makes sense, doesn't it?"
I had no faith in my words myself, but it might just get us all through a few hours. And if we got through that stretch of time, we could just take it little by little. Stay together, stay alive.

Everyone was making excuses about why this was happening. No one wanted to think about what could really be going on, but I continued to wonder.
I wondered what the green smoke outside was, and what was going on with the rest of the world. I wondered if my family was safe. I wondered what was going to happen to us all. Would me tough it out and make it through this, or would we...? I didn't want to think about that.
Most of all, I wondered what we were going to do, and what was going to happen to us.

I took a deep breath as I wandered the halls, looking for a possible exit. We would have broken the window, but we weren't sure what the green gas outside was. It could have been toxic. I wandered up the stairs and into the next level. I was tired, but I kept opening doors, looking for someone; anyone.
When I reached the next level stairs, I sat on the fourth stair, taking a break. I leaned my head on the wall, and closed my eyes. I heard someone come up the stairs and sit next to me.

Clicking the pen opened and closed repeatedly I listened in on what people's theories were. If you ask me they're pretty stupid.
Annoyed I rolled my eyes and said loudly "No, no one is going to come and save us. If they were then they would have already. And if the adults died then who would have sent out the warning. No, it's not logical."
Placing the pen on my pocket I stood up and said "If you guys want to figure this out then come with me."
