What is wrong with my mind lately???

Okay, so for some odd reason, I can never think of the word I'm looking for!
I'll have the sentence in my head, complete with the word, but for some reason when I go to write or type it into the sentence, the word disapears?
I know the definition and I know many synonymns for it, but I can't think of the word. It just completely disapears from my memory! I sit and think about it for about 15 minutes before I finally figure it out again!
Has this happened to anybody else? How can I overcome these ever irritable brain farts?

Many, many times. Both in Finnish and English. Mostly in English, though.

That happens to me all the time. Just type *what's the word I'm looking for?* in the place where you're stuck, even if it's mid sentence, and keep going. Then, later, when you remember it, you can go back and put it in.

I STRONGLY DISLIKE it when that happens! Normally I just write in a synonym for it and circle/highlight it some way, so when I'm going back over it I know that that word is just temporary.

Buwahahaha! It drives me nuts when it happens, which means I'm not immune to brain farts. Who is? LOL What I can tell you that has helped me is using a thesaurus- your best friend.

Also, if you're especially nervous about losing that special word, keep a small pad of paper with a pencil with you at all times. Jot the word down quick, look it up in a thesaurus to see all the synonyms, and see how the dictionary would use it.

After, write your sentence with the perfect word. That's my personal game plan to combat the farts. hehehe Farts... xD

If you know the synonym, then look it up! If you look at the list of words that are synonyms you might find it.

That's the worst, right? But then I discovered this beautiful, magical thing called a thesaurus. Using an online one really helps me a lot too.

Look at a thesaurus! A thesaurus is your best friend.
