Skye

Skye was somewhat dissapointed that her question hadn't been answered, she had really wantesd to know. But she held back and bit her lip. Shut up! Shut your big mouth!

"So William...do you like stuff?" She asked, waiting for his answer but all she got was a wry grin.

"Yes, I happen to like stuff." He replied.

"Really," Skye mused. "What kind of stuff?"

I got up, wondering if the new kid is up, I see him pass the room with Skye and Charley, and I get up quietly, following them as they go, I know they will notice eventually, bu tI dont care, I want to learn about htis kid, if he opens up, I want to be there.

Amy

New kid, great. Amy thought. She was mildly relieved, as she would no longer be the object of curiosity at the home. At least, not until the curiosity on the new kid died down. Amy hoped he would act out, keep the attention for a while. Whenever attention over a new kid died down, everyone started wondering and rumoring about Amy again.

Please, be an attention-hog, new kid. Amy prayed. Well, more hoped. She hadn't prayed in years. Actually, she hadn't prayed at all that she could remember.

Talking drifted up from the back yard outside. The new kid was on a tour with Charlie and Skye. Amy cranked up her music to drown them out, and leaned back on her bed and reopened her book. Never was she so glad she had a room to herself.

Liam

This girl didn't stop asking questions did she? It was really getting slightly annoying now. She was lucky she was pretty.

"Well," I began. "I don't like bein' called William to start with. It makes me sound gay... Just call me Liam."

"Sorry," Skye laughed.

"I like long walks on sandy beaches, pina coladas and gettin' caught int he rain," I grinned. "Oh, and I like pokin' dead things with sticks."

"Right..." Skye looked at me strangely.

Yeah, I'd freaked her out. Oh well, it was better than telling her the truth. Sky was about to say something again, when Charlie suddenly shouted.

"Lorelai?!" He called. "What is your obsession with following people?"

I spun around quickly. There was a small girl with straight brown hair, and dark green eyes standing a few yards behind us. As Sky and I turned around, the girl went red.

"Awww, don't be mean! She's just interested. I mean, c'mon, I do look like a complete rem after all." I winked at the girl.

Crap! They saw me. i cursed inwardly as i felt my face go red. "Its not an obsession, I just like to learn about people, and its easiest when they dont know im there! People usually just ignore me thinking 'Oh there's the little fourteen your old again!' but no you have to notice me!" Cursing to myself again I walked up to them, "So your the new kid, whats your name?"

Lila:

I adjusted my white shorts and orange tank top and headed towards the new people. I knew that by now people were already there but didn't care. I found them and tapped them on the shoulder. They all turned around. Skye and Charlie said hi but the new kid looked at my scars along my face and arm. I didn't have to look at him to know, i just knew. Everyone looked there first.

I let my mouth pull into a smile and said "Hiya! I'm Lila." "Hi." he said.

He tried looking away from the scars but he couldn't "Car accident." His eyebrows furrowed and I said "It happened in a car accident. A month ago. I don't mind that you look. I know it's hard to get past." He looked over to Skye and said "I thought that you didn't usually get new kids here." Charlie began explaining for me "She's been here before." I added in something "Since I was a baby." Charlie continued "She got adopted but they got into a car crash and they died."

I simply smiled at him "I was born addicted to heroin. Bet you've never met anyone like that."

"What was that like?" He asked.

I shrugged "I don't know. I was out of rehab by the time I was six months old.

"That's pretty cool, no offence." I smiled at the girl. "I was born an idiot, still am."

She giggled quietly. I looked at her carefully. She was really pretty. I felt bad for staring at her scar, I always did stupid stuff. She didn't seem to mind to that much though. Although, I'd seen worse come to think of it. On my own mother, in fact. I shook the though out of my head.

"Liam," I smiled, putting my hand out. "That's my name, by the way."

Wow. I sounded like a right saddo.

"Lila," The girl giggled once more.

"Pretty name." I winked at her.

Lila opened her mouth. I knew what she was going to say. She was going to ask me why I was here, they all wanted to know. I could tell. There was no chance of me telling any one though, they could forget about that.

Before Lila could say anything else, I heard a deep voice behind me. All of us turned around to see a tall gray haired man. Another Social worker, I assumed. He kind of looked like Susan Boyle... not in a good way.

I'm going away from this afternoon until about Monday (UK time) Sorry that this is such short notice, my parents only decided to tell me this morning... ¬_¬
This Storybook is slowly dying  but if there's anyone still interested in it, you can keep including my character. Once again, sorry about this!

Ashkii:

I finally finished my drawing and put my pencil down. I opened my eyes and looked down at what I'd drawn. It was the same thing again--a clearing in the middle of a forest.

It wasn't something I could normally draw.

I shrugged and pushed my chair back. It was time to go snooping. I grinned and slipped out of my room.

Amy

Someway, somehow, everyone outside kept talking. And talking loudly. It penetrated Amy's music no matter how loud she had it - which wasn't very loud, because there were restrictions on this sort of thing at the home. Amy shut it off and stormed to the window.

"Can we please shut up?" she yelled to where the kids stood on the grass a story below her.

"What's your problem?" the new kid asked rudely. Amy glared down at him. She saw Charlie whisper something to him, probably explaining.

Yeah, she was Amy. The crazy loner girl who dreams about a brother who no one thinks existed. No, darling. We found you alone. You invented this 'brother' to feel better about yourself. No one wants to accept being found beaten in an alley. That's how they talked to her around here. Like she was crazy. But she wasn't crazy.

"Just keep it down," Amy said. She went back to her bed and collapsed in a heap on it. Perhaps it was about time for another break-out.

Lila:

I swung at him. He punched me and I clawed his face. I jumped ontop of him and we rolled down the hill. I punched and scratched as much as I could. Someone pulled me off of him and when I tried jumping forward to get at him they held my hands in a death grip. As they pulled me away, kicking and wriggling, I screamed "Don't you EVER talk about me like that! Ever!" I refused to let myself cry.

I wretched myself from their grip and ran into the house. I threw myself to the floor and began banging on it, keeping the tears back. Charlie grabbed the door frame to stop himself and came to me. He grabbed my face and forced me to look at him "Lila, chill!".

Liam came in and said confused "What happened?" Charlie shook his head "Nothing, but you better get used to it. For all you know it could be you that gets into the next fight."

I got up and said "I'm fine now." I stalked off and found James in his room. I sat on his bed and said "Can you play your guitar for me?"

Ashkii:

I stretched, looking up and down the hall. The coast was clear--for now.

Grinning, I skipped off down the hall and slipped into Charlie's room. It was where the new kid had turned up, right?

I shrugged ad started rummaging around in all the cupboards. Where was this kids stuff, huh?

I yelped when someone knocked on the door and pushed it open. I spun around and gasped. Crap, it was the new kid and Charlie, back from their little tour.

"Ash," Charlie said and sighed.

James picked up his guitar and said "Now don't make fun of me. You know I'm not that good." I nodded vigorously "Yeah, yeah. I know. You say that every time." He plucked a few notes and finally he started playing a song. It was kind of choppy and slightly off key but I closed my eyes and just listened.

"Uh... I was just," Ash muttered.

"It's all right," I laughed, sitting down on my new bed.

Without saying another word, Ash hurriedly left the room. I noticed Charlie roll his eyes as he lay down on his own bed. I liked Charlie, he seemed pretty cool. He didn't ask questions, it was nice. As long as none of these guys got to know me properly for the selfish idiot that I am, this shouldn't be too bad, I closed my eyes, lying down.

A few weeks later

I stared at the mirror in front of me. My clothes were messy but they were the tidiest clothes I owned, so they would have to do. It was my first day of school. Well, my first day at Clearwater High School anyway.

I heard Hayley call me from downstairs. I was almost ten minutes late, but I didn't really care. I wasn't exactly an honor student when it came to school. In fact, I'd already gotten expelled from my two schools before, and Clearwater High School wasn't an exception.

Lila:

I grabbed an apple and ran out. Late as usual I nearly missed my ride. Biting into the apple I slid into my seat only to run into the new kid Liam. "Er, hi." He scooted over "Sorry." he said quietly. I shrugged. As we left for school I felt eyes on me. I knew they were Liam's. I glanced at him and he looked away.

Mid-way to school I opened the window and threw my eaten apple out the window. Liam looked at me as if I had gone mad but I merely shrugged. By the time we got into the parking space I was already out of the car. I ran so that no one would scold me for it.

The bell rang and I ran faster. I made it to my locker and wretched my binders out. Stuffing my backpack in I sprinted to homeroom. I couldn't afford any more tardies this year.
