Submission Call For YWS News!

Cool beans.

YWS News will either be up later today or tomorrow. It's pretty much ready to go now; I'm just working on a system for easy approval of articles.

Cool Nate! Ka Pai for the idea and the quick set up. Can you post a link here when you're done?

There'll actually be a link to it in the header; either under read/write or on its own. Probably the former only because the header is starting to get a bit crowded.

Idea for a weekly thing!

Bolt's Advice shop!

People PM me their questions, and then I write up answers to them in it. To make it hidden, there could be an account set up, called like Advise Me, or something, with an open password. People could use it to PM me so they don't need to tell me their names.

My question is something along the lines of Bolt's, actually! I was wondering if there could be a space for regular articles or columns, and if there could be some application process for them? That might be, like, way too complicated, but if it was possible it could be quite good.

(I understand that this isn't some kind of magazine, therefore we wouldn't want to overload it with agony aunt columns or whatever. But we could have other weekly things?)

Someone should totally do regular YWS member interviews.

That would be kind of cool, wouldn't it?

On Columns: It's a cool idea that a few have brought up and definitely one for the future. At this time, I'm just trying to get YWS News done, which is proving to once again be a bit more complicated than I thought. However, it is something that I want to add later on. Until then, do what BenFranks is planning on doing, which is just creating a column anyways. It won't be anything official, but if you start doing something regularly, people will treat as a column.


On where things are: Yesterday, I finished up the approval process and then started working on the front page. The front page is pretty much done, but none of the sections are done as of yet.
