What genre do you write, and why?
I write a lot of poetry. I've also written some "realistic" fiction, and recently I've had the urge to write something more fantastical.
When did you start writing, and what did you first write?
I have pretty much always written. I wrote my first poems and storylets when I was five or six, I think.
Your favourite era?
The present.
What's your view on Tolkein?
The Lord of the Rings never really got me, I've only read the first book. However, I enjoyed Roverandom.
Your favourite name ever?
When I was younger, I loved the names Holly and Deborah. I don't really have any special favourite name now, I love all the names, really. I'm a name addict.
What are you working on right now?
Currently, I'm working on a couple of characters and trying to find out what their story is. There's also a poem that needs major editing.
Your favourite thing about your latest project?
My latest project was to write at least one haiku every day while I was on holidays. One of my favourite things about it is that I ended up writing almost 50 of them, and that I felt like I really succeeded in some of them.
Your favourite book, and why?
My absolute all-time favourite book is The Catcher in the Rye by J. D. Salinger. I read it for the first time when I was thirteen years old or so, and it really got me. I love Holden Caulfield and relate to him more than I've related to any character before. I don't know what it is, really, because we're not that much alike. It's just his outlook on life, I guess.
If you could be any animal, what would you be?
I would be some kind of a feline.
How about colour?
My favourite colour is green, but I think I would be either that, yellow, or blue.
(if you want to get published) What would your reaction be when you got your affirming letter?
I wouldn't realise it at first. Then I would read it again and be somewhat shocked, and then I would cry of happiness.
The genre you dislike the most?
I've never liked to read fantasy that much (apart from Harry Potter!). Especially if it's too heavy and contains all kinds of elves and fairies and sorcerers and all that jazz.
and lastly,
Why do you write?
I write because I love the feeling you get when you write something good. Writing has always been very natural to me, so I haven't really given it that much thought. Even though I sometimes have long phases during which I don't write anything creative at all, I could never stop writing. It's also often much easier to express myself with writing.
