To help you out in your blogatory pursuits. :D Cheers!

What genre do you write, and why?

Well, I write within a great deal of genres but all of them are dominated primarily by a twitch of romance and almost always some fantasy. After all who doesn’t love to acquire the ability to shoot lighting bolts out of their forehead while making out with an super cute boy who isn’t wearing a shirt.

When did you start writing, and what did you first write?

Well, the first time I picked up a pencil and really attempted to write seriously was for a school contest in fourth grade. I don’t remember it well but I know it involved a princess attempting to slay a dragon. Oh, and I flame broiled her unicorn, too.

Your favourite era?

That’s an easy one. Victorian Europe, mostly because no matter how crumby and awful it really was, you can always write it to make it seem less crumby and less awful. That, and corsets are sexy!

What's your view on Tolkein?

Wait, was he the guy who wrote about those little people and the ‘precious’?

Your favourite name ever?

It’s a tie between Charlie and Billie, both for girls of course.

What are you working on right now?

Well, currently, I’m trying to find a way to string all of these funky scenes to this completely non-sensed something or other that I’ve been writing. Right now, I’m referring to it as “Hemlock” because, well, it may very well be the death of me.

Your favourite thing about your latest project?

The comedy. I don’t write comedy very often and this is sort of a new writing experience for me but getting to put guys in dresses while girls in their undies chase them down the street sure is fun.

Your favourite book, and why?

Oh, this is more of a “Your favourite author” kind of question. Everything by Christopher Moore just puts me on the floor with laughter. He can turn even the most depressing scenes into something comedic and in some cases, the most beautiful scenes into the mostest beautiful scenes.

If you could be any animal, what would you be?

Liger. Yes they’re real. Yes, I want to be one.

How about colour?

Well, that would probably have to be silver…mostly because that’s just the colour of my nail polish.

(if you want to get published) What would your reaction be when you got your affirming letter?

Cheese cake. Driving blank faced to the grocery store, buying a cheese cake and just eating it in my car like a total glutton.

The genre you dislike the most?

Ish, that’s very easily going to have to be Science Fiction. Something about all that outer space/alien/robots/alien-robots/cyborg things just bothers me.

Why do you write?

That’ really is a dangerous question to ask. But if I had to say for certain, it would be because it’s hardwired into me at this point. When I’m upset, I don’t get angry or loud, I take out a pencil and paper and I write. When I’m on the verge of tears, I write them into the page. And when my heart is so completely overcome with love, I let out all of those little perfections on the page.
Well…that and it’s cool to be in charge.
Never forget who you are, for surely the world will not. Make it your strength. Then it can never be your weakness. Armor yourself in it, and it will never be used to hurt you.

What genre do you write, and why?
I write mostly dystopian science fiction, or satirical fantasy.

When did you start writing, and what did you first write?
When I was...seven years old? I think I wrote these silly mini-novels about a group of kids with superpowers. XD

Your favourite era?
Early 1900s, I find them fascinating to study. Not only that, that era was where the first modern dystopian novels were born.

What's your view on Tolkein?
I have never read Lord of the Rings. I think I've read The Hobbit, but that was ages ago.

Your favourite name ever?
Hard...I quite like 'Chaos'.

What are you working on right now?
I'm working on the history of my alternate universe.

Your favourite thing about your latest project?
It's going to be great fun, since it's the first 'proper' dystopian story I'm going to write.

Your favourite book, and why?
1984, because it got me into dystopian fiction...and when I got into it, it was hard to get out.

If you could be any animal, what would you be?
I'd stay human, thanks.

How about colour?
My favourite colour is black, though that's really a lack of colour. So instead I'll say red.

(if you want to get published) What would your reaction be when you got your affirming letter?
I'd probably scream with joy, or something else under a similar cliché. I'd celebrate by ordering fifteen slabs of double chocolate fudge from the Fudge Kitchen in York and slowly consuming them all over the next few days.

The genre you dislike the most?
Probably romance, particularly 'paranormal romance'. I find it a little boring - though paranormal romance gives it a new twist, it often ruins the original idea of the creature the protagonist falls in love with.

Why do you write?
I write because I feel I have to get my word out. I'm a little selfish...all I seem to care about is that - but then again, George Orwell did say 'all writers are selfish'. XD
