Ugh, I'm so sorry for not replying sooner. School is hectic. Ignore this post if there isn't room.

Personality: She can act a tad bit naive, but can get serious when the time calls for it. She will break up any awkward silence with something totally random and will try to make you laugh or at the very least smile... in some cases talk. :elephant:

History: Has been with the Fishers for a while with the occasional crush on Mitch. She can now fire a gun with some ease, though she is still uncomfortable with it. She always carries an authentic Robin Hood book around with her as her "reference."

Other: up for love

Short posts for starts

Suzie-

It has been great being alone and not on the run anymore. I got to go to the beach and travelled as far as I could go, looking and art and museums and having fun. Now I'm sitting on a swing and feeling alone.

Maybe leaving was a big mistake.

I picked up my phone as I left Max's room and dialed Suzie's number.

"Suzie?" I asked through the phone.

"Reg? That you?" She replied.

"Sure is." I laughed, "We need you back, Suzie. I miss the immature beauty you gave us all. C'mon back here!"

A sigh of relief came across the line. She huffed to try and cover it up, but I grinned widely, she wouldn't get away with that.

"See you in a few hours," I laughed.

Riley

I hear Max and Reg talking. Not bothering to knock, I go in.

"Okay, here are the rules while I am gone. You will not go near each other, talk to each other, kill each other, threaten each other, or have any contact at all." I say, tapping on consecutive fingers to make sure I got them all. I also maked sure there were no loopholes. Reg was too clever for me to let anything slip by.

I adjust the strap on my backpack. "And stay in the house!" I walk out. On my way out I whisper to Bree, "Just keep Reg distracted." I caught a look on Reg's face that told me he heard me. Either way, he got up and left the room. I go downstairs.

Maitea looks stunning in the entirley black bullet-proof suit I got for her. I knew I didn't look even close to stunning, I never had, I always had been more threatening in aperance.

Ace had on a heavier version of the black suit, and it fit him well, but nothing special. We wordlessly walk outside.

"You know the plan?" I ask when we get out. They nodd. I hop on my motorcycle, they get in their cars. Maitea's backpac has only a red dress in it, all part of the plan. Ace's had a few guns, amo, and a small explosive. I had a handknife, rope and a laser.

We arive at the house. Maitea slips the dress over the black suit and puts on her heels. She nods when I give the signal and walks inside. I was relying on the fact that the owner of the house was hoplessly confused and the only other person living with him was in her 50's. Maitea's instructions were clear, don't kill them, just knock them out cold.

Bree

"Just keep Reg distracted." Riley mumbled, walking out the door. What on this earth did Riley mean by that. I hide my confusion, though, and go back to my room. the boys woul obey Riley, or Reg would, at least.

I pick up a copy of my favorite magazine, and begin to flipp through the pictures. Most of them are bridal gowns. I feel a lump rise in my throat, then swalow. That was Gero's choice. He left me, after promising to marry me. Idiot. NOw I found someone else. Here to hopeing he didn't break my heart.

I take an honest look at the dresses, and some of them make me want to hurl. What were the designers thinking? I let myself day dream a little bit.

I walk down the isle. The music begins to play. I am the envy of every girl there, my beauty prized and awed. My veil is lined with pearls. A roman castle looms in the backround. Camera's flash. People cry.

I sigh and continue to look at the magazine. Reg come in. I put the magazine down, but not before circling one I particuallry liked.

"Riles sure set out a list of rules for us. And I can't go and find one dang loophole." He said angrily.

"Give the kid a chance---" I started.

"Maybe, if the kid will learn to grow up."

"Not likely."

"Not likely," Bree said.

"Ah, well. Me and the fella have a bit of respect for each other now," I said to her, reassuringly.

"Huh? How come?" she asked.

"Told him why I'm such an asshole."

"You're not-"

"Don't Bree, I know I am. But I wouldn't be standing here now if I weren't."

Bree runs up to me and gives me a hug. I hug her back, but I felt like I was letting her down. I felt I couldn't give her all I wanted to. So, I did what I do best: I changed the subject.

"Riles doesn't seem to want me on any of there day jobs no more," I mused.

"I'm sure she's just gettin' to know the gang, Reg," Bree said.

"Ah, maybe. All the same, I miss the days when she trusted me."

Riley trusted Reg with everything, I knew that.

"Reg, in Riley's own screwed up way, she trusts you a lot. She is just getting used to the new gang, thats all." I say.

"Sure, of course, not." Reg said.

"Oh, brighten up just a little. She does trust you, otherwise, you wouldn't be here. No one she doesn't trust stays alive long." I said bitterly.

"What are you talking..." He started. I began to cry a little.

"Gero, a good friend of mine, when I was in spain, asked me to marry him. I accepted. Only a week later he left, never to be heard from again. Riley hunted him down, and killed him. Gero was Riley's best friend, but he hurt me. So she killed him. I am glad she did, but I never know if he would have apologized. I could never love him again, but an apology would be nice."

"Riley does overreact, a bit, eh?" Reg asked.

"It wasn't overreaction. He totally broke my heart. But I know who I love now." I say. I look right at Reg.

Riley

I hear muffled talking, then the sound of someone being hit in the stocmach, two people. Then Maitea comes out.

"Piece of cake." She says. Needless to say the rest of the job went perfectly.

I arive back home to find Suzie sitting, playing chess with Max.

"Riley!" She exclaims, running up to give me a hug.

"Suzie, I am so glad your back." I say.

"Glad to be back..."

Bree looked right through me. I looked back at her and I winced.

Bree had broken through my armour. I smiled at her and just watched her for a while. She looked expectant for me to say something. Just as I was about to say I love you, Riley returned.

And naturally, a party broke out for the job and Suzie's return. I'll tell her later... I thought.

Maitea

We walked in the door after a sucsessful hiest. But, then again, I had the impression most of the Fishers hiests were sucsessful. A new girl sat on the couch, playing chess with Max.

I could tell we were going to be friends. Just looking at people, sometimes, I can tell.

"Who are these people?" The girl asked.

"Suzie, this is Maitea, and Ace. That's Max, Jose is somewhere around here. You know the rest of us." Riley said. We all shake hands.

"Nice to meet you." I say.

"Nice to meet you too. Were you the one that drugged Riley?" Would they never let that go.

"Yes, but, who told you?"

"Reg," She said, "He was nice like that."

"He's going to pay later."

"What's your job here?" She asks. Most of the others had left.

"A fighter," I grin, "I even beat Riley."

"You beat Riley, gosh, thats pretty impressive. Even her sister..."

"Can't, I know. Riley isn't very happy I am able to out fight her."
Life is a door, and I hold the key to happiness.

Suzie-

"So how did you do it?"

"Oh it wasn't too difficult. I just-"

"Ahem," Riley coughed and hung her arm on my shoulder. "You know I'm right here?"

"Duh, why would I be talking about you otherwise?" I joked. She rolled her eyes and I smiled. Me and Maitea were gonna be great friends.

"So what do you ride?" she asked me. I pointed outside and showed my nice old-fashioned Harley.

"That clunker?"

"Yeah. It's my buddy."

"Do you have brain damage or something?" Max asked. How rude.

"Well of course I do, how do you think I survive?" Max huffed and I turned back to Maitea. "So what was the heist?"

"It was just a small job. Just took a couple thousand of some confused dude." Maitea said. I laughed at how casual she sounded.

"Yeah, you didn't miss anything big. All you missed around here was Maitea trying to kill me, Max and Reg fighting whenever they get left alone for two seconds and Maitea totally beating me when we practice-fought."

"Hell, yeah I did." Maitea said, then looked at me, "Sorry!"

"You better be." I mumbled, then headed upstairs. I could tell Max had opened up a bottle of beer.

Bree

I walk back upstairs after saying hi to Suzie. She wasn't my favorite person, naive and childish as she was, but I didn't hate her. I just couldn't be around her too long.

I plop myself down on the bed and take out the magazine again. No particular dress catches my eye, so I move on to locations. There are pictures of Rome, Spain (yeah right!), and Mexico. I would want somewhere warm, like the carribean, but not too crowded. Maybe Peru, or Panama.

I notice Reg is gone. I stand up to look out the window. I wondered suddenly where he was. As if to answer my question, the door opened and he came in.

"Hey Reg." I say. I notice I left the magazine open. I quickly go and sit on it.

"What's that?" He asks.

"Whats what?" I say, pretending to be confused.

"Nevermind," He growls, "Suzie is back."

"Like I don't know that. Lokk, Reg, whatever you have to say that your obviously avoiding, just say it."

Personality: She is rude and overconfident. Basically evil, in a sense. She is a excellent fighter. She always knows her enemy's weak spots and attacks those first. Never lost a fight since she turned 14.

History: She was a member of Bree's gang for a while, then went off on her own. When she heard there was a strong gang in america, she packed her bags, didn't bother to call Bree and asked if another person would be welcome, and came over.

Before that she was the daughter of a military officer, and took eight years of martial arts. She really was a born fighter. She developed both sheer stregnth and agility.

Up for love: Yes, definetly.

Other: She was Bree's best fighter before she left.

I looked at Bree and realised we were alone again. I sat next to her. It was the only time in my life I'd ever felt nervous -- ever felt afraid of the outcome. I turn to her, her gaze is still fixed on me.

"Y'know ealier..." I say.

"Yes," she replied bluntly.

"Well," I cursed under my breath at my stupidity. "I love you too."

Her face lit up like a christmas tree and at the moment she jumped with that slight bit'a joy, I took my chance. I ripped the magazine out from underneath her and she couldn't feel a thing. She looked at me shocked.

"What's this then?" I laugh.

I've never been one for parties. Even back home, if my parents had one for any reason, I'd disappear to my room and hide there, or hop on my bike and go bother a friend. But since I'd been in the gang, I started to be able to relax amongst the festivities.

So when the party broke out, I dipped into the kitchen for a soda and a small plate of food before returning to the somewhat crowded room. I took a seat in the corner where I could watch everyone else and listen.

I grimaced; Max had just made some crude joke about brain damage. Well, it hit me hard. Mine wasn't damaged, really, but I did have to have surgery on it once. Whether that was what made me awkward, or if it was something else, I wasn't sure. Realizing I was chewing on my bottom lip, I decided to let it go. Things like that had become common jokes, and if I didn't get mad about it, then no one would go after me.

So instead I turned to Suzie. "Hi," I started, feeling awkward. It wasn't weird talking to girls; it was just weird talking. "Um, I know we sort of said hi before. But I didn't really get to welcome you. So, welcome."

I didn't really expect her to say anything back, but if she did, then that would be all right too. I was more of a wallflower all the time, anyway, so I understood. I just sat back in my chair, making it swivel back and forth as I sipped my soda.

Alistara Carso (Alis)

Marcello finnaly answers the phone. "Hey, here's a suggestion, pick up the phone once in a while!" I say.

"Ah, the lovely Alis, it is so nice to hear..." Marcello started.

"Flatterly won't get you squat!"

"Fine, what do you want?"

"Were are Bree and the rest of the gang?"

"Near the border of the rio grande in southern Texas. A town called Apple Ridge. Drive down the main road until it branches of to a dirt part. Take the path, then turn left, then right, then left again, then make a final right. The house should be there."

"Got it." I say, then hang up.

________________________________

The large mansion looms above me. I give it a once over, agjust my grip on my only suitcase, and walk into the house. They are obviously in the middle of a party.

So this was what the world had come to. They all freeze for a second.

"Riley, so nice to see you again. Max, Ace, Maitea, the same to you." I say, the kindness in my voice faked to perfection.

"Alis? You're here?" Riley asked. It was no secret she didn't like me. In my opinoin she was a silly, agility-lacking, poor excuse for a leader.

"Yes, I am. You're welcome." I say. I see Max frown. No surprise there.

"How long are you staying?" Max asked.

"Until I feel like leaving. So, where is my room?"

Reg had the magazine. My mind froze for a minute. I could grab it out of his hands, but it wouldn't be easy. He smirks. I feel heat rise to my cheeks. Half from anger, half from embaressment.

"Reg, turst me, just put it down." I say calmly.

"Ya know, I think I'd rather not." He says. He starts flipping through the pages. His expression goes slowly from amuzed, to just a smile. Then to a blank stare. Then he is clearly frowning. I need an excuse, fast.

"You know, a friend of mine is getting married. She asked me to be her wedding advisor. She has awful taste. You should have seen what she picked out originally, it was just dreadful." I realize I am babbiling. I do that when I get nervous.

"You mean this one?" Reg asked, showing me the circled picture. That hit a nerve, hard.

"Yeah, that one." I choke out. Then I realize he see's right through my lies.

Riley

Why was Alis here, why? Why did she ruin my perfect day? Oh, right, because she is evil like that.

"Ah, soften up Riley, she's not that bad." Maitea said, earning a cold stare from Alis. I remembered the time she broke my wrist, and rubbed it on impulse.

"You can have the black room. Go pstairs, its the second to last door." I say calmly. She walks up to the stairs, head held high. She turns to Max.

"Carry these up for me." She dropps her luggage into Max's hands. He tosses it out the window.

These were autumn mornings, the time of year when kings of old went forth to conquest; and I, never stirring from my little corner in Calcutta, would let my mind wander over the whole world.
