AMBROSE

He was suddenly very nervous. There were way too many people around him. He looked down at Kelsey, his hope that his own sister could have survived.

Kelsey's sister, Natalie, he thought her name was, told her own story about how she survived. Amp swallowed. He had lived on the streets his entire life. If you could survive that, taking care of your little sister then you could survive anything.

Except he hadn't saved Maddie. He raised his chin defiantly. He wasn't about to tell anyone his sad little story, but he didn't want to get on these people's bad side. Staying with a group would keep him sane and help him keep safe. Who only knew what would await him on this new, barren land.

Anton Hinton.

Anton grinned again; he was happy now that there were more people. It was hard to laugh on your own without feeling crazy.
"I didn't survive through any skill, actually," he said, "so congratulations on that! I'm just lucky, I guess. But then again, maybe we all are."
"It is curious how often you humans manage to obtain that which you do not want."

Natalie

Natalie sighed. "Luck probably had a lot to do with it." She was still watching Kelsey, making sure that she didn't do anything stupid. The girl tended to act without thinking. It had gotten them into trouble numerous times.

Kelsey handed the water to the girl and wandered over to the group, swaying slightly and yawning widely. "Natalie... 'M tired."

Natalie sighed and went over to the little girl. "Alright, alright." She picked her up and put her on her back. Kelsey laid her head on the back of Natalie's neck and fell asleep instantly.

"She's cute." Anton nodded at Kelsey, asleep. "I've never had a sister. That's probably a good thing now, though; I'd be worrying to death about her!"
He grimaced, when he realised that other people in the group could have had siblings. To cover up his discomfort, he turned to everyone else.
"So, names, anyone?"

AMBROSE

Amp grimaced and shifted his feet uncomfortably. Anton seemed to realize what he said.

"So names, anyone?" He asked, uncomfortably.

"I'm Ambrose," he said quietly. "But you can just call me Amp."

He preferred to stay out of the radar. A nice trick he used to use when he was stealing on the streets. Most people didn't pay much attention to him. He wanted to keep it that way. So he would say his name first and then they would pretty much "forget" him.

Saint Shepper

Saint looked at all the people. It had been so long that she'd seen so many!

She heard the call for names and looked at the man who'd asked. She smiled at him and held out her hand. "Saint, Saint Shepper."

Cara Rose-Miller

"I'm Carolyn," she said quietly, "Carolyn Rose-Miller. But please just call me Cara." She was so frozen, wondering if she was dreaming. She half expected to wake up in her sleeping bag with Tarzan of the Apes in one limp hand, and alone, lost and cold-like she had been the past couple of months.

Ava~

I frowned my lips cracking as I opened my mouth for the first time.
"Ava" I squeaked, my cheeks flushign red when they all turned to look at me. I had been in the shadows for a such a long time, it was funny that I was now sitting with so many people!

I looked over to the sleeping girl, she reminded me so much of my bestfriend back at the ballet school it was frightening. The way she was so innocent made me think she was a younger version of Melanie.

I looked away suddenly realising I was staring. It wasn't every day you saw a almost duplicate of your dead bestfriend!

Kyle

"I'm Kyle, the techie obviously," Kyle looked at his taser gun down on the ground. He felt foolish for bringing out with him, but he couldn't change that now. He was surprised that so many others had survived. He looked around at the group, each person individual and unique. Imagine that last people on Earth!

Alec

"Hi. I'm Aleksei. Everyone calls-- called me Alec, though."

Alec looked around at the group of misfits, trying to decide who he liked and who he didn't. Kyle, the techie, was already grating on his nerves. Saint (was that her name?) was cute, but a little old for him. And the others...well, he couldn't tell yet.

"Look. It's getting late. Shouldn't we find somewhere to stay for the night? Then, in the morning, we can figure out...whatever it is that we need to."

*sorry it's so short*

Saint Shepper

Saint nodded at the guy who was apprently Alec. "I agree with you," she looked to the group, "we should find shelter, and figure everything out in the morning. Bring whatever you have!"

She turned in a random direction and began to dig her way through, looking for a place to sleep.

Anton Hinton.

He started after Saint, shouldering the bag he'd taken from his hole.
"Find shelter," he grumbled, "that's exactly what I'd found until you all woke me up."
Hurrying up a little, Anton caught up with Saint and began to walk at her side. She seemed nice, friendly.
"So," he began, "this is weird, huh? Finding so many people at the same time. God knows how long we've been passing by each other."

Cassie

Shadow's short bark of warning woke Cassie up. The big collie was standing next to her, hackles raised.

"What's wrong, girl?" she asked, blinking sleepily. And then she heard it - voices filtering through the trees.

She scrambled to her feet, immediately wide awake. She snatched up the kitchen knife she always kept nearby. Should she hide? Or -

A group of people suddenly stepped out of the trees, the largest group she'd seen in months. Shadow began to growl, but Cassie didn't think they looked too dangerous. Slowly, she lowered her knife.

Saint Shepper

Saint looked over at the man. "I'm sorry, what was your name again?"

He grinned. "Anton."

She nodded. "Oh nice to meet you! And yeah, it is. I've been wandering for some time now and haven't been able to find anyone and now we all just find each other." She sighed and glanced at him for a moment. "So how long were you in that hole?"

AMBROSE

Amp lifted his head towards the trees near them. He had great hearing and there was someone in the woods.

He looked at the large group around him. There was no way he was going to be separated from them to wander the Earth alone and afraid. So he wanted to check out what was in the woods.

Amp slowly walked away, no one noticing. He hid in the shadows of the trees. A growl sounded behind him.

Ambrose spun around and flung himself at a shocked and unbelieving girl. She whipped out a...kitchen knife? Still, she held it to his throat. Amp swallowed hard and let out a harsh laugh. How long had it been since he'd laugh.

"Alright. You win," he said, eyeing her. The dog was now growling much lower in his or her throat. It's vicious teeth bared. Amp didn't want to have to hurt either of them. But he would if he had to.

"You. Why did you attack me?" She asked, pushing the blade deeper to his neck. Amp eyed her.

"I heard someone. And if you're another survivor it won't do any good to kill me. I'm Ambrose. Call me Amp," he said, extending his hand.

The girl looked suspicious but put away the blade. "Cassie."
