And so I was confused and I asked her what she meant about that kiddy site (because misunderstandings suck) and she said that she was a romance writer and that the romantic fiction forum was too "kiddy" and that the reviewers didn't know what they were doing.
So... that's where you come in.
We are going to speed review for a week (starting Monday) the romantic fiction forum. And we are going to try and increase the post count by 1000 posts. Insane? Maybe. But drag your friends along and let's see what we can do!
Right now, we have 2633 topics and 18068 posts in that forum. Our goal? 19068 posts.

How do you review romantic fiction?
Now, I realize that not all of you know how to review romantic fiction, and for some of you it's really your first time reviewing any fiction. And some of you are young and you've never even had a romantic relationship at all. But don't worry... that's perfectly fine.
This is how you review romantic fiction:
Say hello to the writer and introduce yourself! Tell the writer whether the story drew you in and made you want to know more. If it drew you in, tell the writer what you were interested in. If it didn't, tell the writer what made you want to stop. What do you think of the romance? Tell the writer whether you would even consider entering personally such a romance and why. Thank the writer for posting the story and tell him/her to contact you if he/she has any further questions.PLEASE NOTE! A couple of rules!
Please be polite! Comment on the story, not the writer.
Please be conscientious of the rating system! There can be some really steamy scenes in romantic fiction. If you don't like those sorts of stories, do not read or comment on them, please! Also, if something is inappropriately rated, please PM a mod (we're the guys with green usernames) and we'll rate it appropriately.
Try and keep your posts as grammatically correct as possible! Yes, this is speed critiquing! But you still want the writer to understand what you have to say.
Do NOT bring up topics that are older than September, 2009, unless someone specifically asks you to. That's just not nice.
This is speed critiquing! We don't have time to do nitpicky critiques that talk about the difference of "its" versus "it's" or whatever nonsense you find. If you see spelling or grammar mistakes, say, "There were a couple of spelling/grammar errors that you might want to clear up. PM me if you have any questions!" Odds are, they won't PM you.
Your main focus, as a speed-critiquer, is the content, not the nitpicks. Don't be afraid to put your input on stories that a lot of people have posted on! Your input is exactly that... your input. And never underestimate how precious and important you are.
