Hello there everyone!

I'm new to the society (obviously) and I'm very excited to have my writings critiqued. So far, through visiting as a guest and my new membership, this seems to be a very enriching community. I'm very proud of the culture you've been able to establish!

Thank you for your time and I hope to be sharing stories, poetry, and good times with everyone.

Awww, thanks you guys! It's dandy to meet all of you as well.

I am working on a series of short stories right now. I've posted two of them, both under the title 'My Bright Red Scream'. I don't know if they'll end up with separate names and forever be a series of short stories about one character, or if they'll come together under the same title to be a novel. Either way, I'm enjoying writing them and adoring the critiques I've reviewed so far.

I am old :( ha! I was wondering if you all would give me the boot in a few years for my age, or keep me out of sympathy. But know I know I'll just graduate to a new forum.

Have a great day!

Welcome to YWS, RedSmiles! I'm Ellie.
Your story sounds absolutely fantastic. Drop me a PM when you post it so it can be reviewed, alright? Anyway, how did you get into writing, and what are some of your interests besides writing?

Hi Elinor!

The short stories have already been posted, they're in the 'Other Fiction' forum. I'd be excited to get a review from you!

I was born writing. From silly poems about the other kids in daycare at seven years old, to extensive reflection papers in college. But my favorite pieces are personal narratives, most of them I classify as fiction because I exaggerate small details or add and omit things them to make the pieces more reader friendly. That means most or all of the pieces I post here are very much based on trues stories and real people that I've known.

I hope to see you around Ellie!

Other than writing. I love to read! I love to play music, even though I'm not very good at it, and I draw like a mad woman. But I work a lot and my 9-5 leaves little time to develop my love of the arts.
