Is it too late to join because I want to me a pisces, and from what I'm aware their are none.

Name Annelise Jade (likes to be called A.J)

Age 16

Gender Female

Sign: Pisces

Weapon a small vile of water.

Power Pisces is a water sign so she doesn't necessarily control water, whereas the water corresponds to her. Which means basically when she's very sad it will get cloudy and sometimes rain and stuff. She heals with water and can become water as well. as long as she is near water.

Appearance: kinda short 5' 4" She has deep blue eyes with a purplish tint. Her hair is black and she's fair skinned. She is curvy but usually doesn't show it. Her mark is on the back of her neck.

Personality She is a very passive person, not much into fighting. She is a smart girl, caring and nurturing, easy to get along with but very undeceive. Now she is quite and a bit melancholic since her younger sister died. She likes to have fun, but she stands strongly to what she thinks is right.

History She lived with a very loving family she was the eldest child with a younger sister. Her younger sister was also a pisces but when Annelise was 12, her sister only 4, they were playing out on a dock when A.J's younger sister fell into the water. Since her sister didn't know how to swim A.J went into a panic, diving in after her she tried to pull her up, but the current pulled them under, refusing to let them up. A.J was saved because of her power but her sister drowned and A.J has always blamed herself.

I took in a shaky breath as I watched the students fight. This was stupid in my opinion, pitting classmates against classmates. My group had head into the middle with blood thirsty ambition, I stayed behind. Apparently I have no group now. I grasped my water vile for comfort, gaining none as I watched things unfold. 'I don't have to fight I just have to stay alive' I thought to myself trying to find some place to go, some group to fit into to. I knew to keep low, but not to make myself an easy target. I spied the group with the esteemed Sagittarius, Abbey I think her name was. In her group I also sat the aquarius, Paris. The two Gemini's as well. 'Maybe' I thought.

"Two against one...it hardly seems fair," I said. The snake was crushed by my club as Abbey landed. "I love unfair though."

Victoria stared at us for a moment, taking in her surroundings. As she explored her options, I raised my mallet, and jumped at her. If I had done it a second earlier, maybe even a millisecond,I might have hit her. Sadly, this wasn't the case, she had finished her search right as I lifted off the ground. Before I had even touched her she hurled a rock at me, knocking me backwards, and biting me on my nose. Yes, a rock bite me, except it was now a snake.

Abbey launched a volley of arrows at out enemy, watching in horror as the came right back at her, with poison filled fangs and shaking tails. I threw one of my clubs right at her, knocking her back before the snakes got her. Something warm began to drip down my face, A mixture of poison and blood. My skin was hard, but I wasn't any superman. I threw my club at the snake charmer, only to have it miss her and fall into the bushes. The snake fell from my face as I got up, its fangs having been weathered away to nothing.

The arrow born snakes surrounded Abbey, and I was virtually defenseless. "Brava," I said, my voice soaking with hate. "Go ahead and kill us now."

She didn't waste anytime bringing her blade to my neck. She leaned close, her cold blade resting on my neck. Just as I had hoped. I closed my eyes, focusing on my own forehead. My skin broke open with a pop, and two masses ejected out of the new holes. The bone rammed into her head, and knocked her back with great force, followed by my foot into her stomach.

I watched as the male aries fought Victoria, witnessing the rock morph into a snake, biting Ray. I stared in awe at their power and fighting ability. It was now that I was glad that among my curses I was blessed with the art of healing. It suited me well this power. I decided to be brave and chance walking over to them, offering some help.
Although I stood only a few yards away from them, it was still dangerous to make that stride, leaving this place I had found to hide. "I can help." I called when I was near enough to be heard. I laughed slightly because of the adrenalin coursing through my veins. For a moment the thrill of survival pervaded a primal state of my brain as I watched what was going on around me, only to be diminished by my worry for people I have never really met before.

Layla; Leo:

After Paris and I had taken out a large group of people, we realized our group had been somewhat split up. I loved the fight though, although it was truly sad to see all these people dying. I had just wanted an exercise, not a full out war.

Be careful what you wish for, I thought. I had wanted someone to fight, and look what happened. Death. Chaoas. Brother against brother. Friend against friend. An arrow nearly grazed my head, but using my reflexes I dodged it and set it on fire.

"Paris," I cried out. I looked to see him furiously battling a Scorpio who was trying to summon little lizards to bite him. With a flick of my wrist I set the ground around him on fire, which caused the scorpio's mouth to drop. Paris flung a ball of ice into his mouth and then expanded it, which caused the Scorpio to suffocate.

"We've got to find the others," I said.

Abbey~~

The smile I once wore turened into a grimace, looking about I spotted the timer that read 18:32 and was gradually counting down slowly. I was pushed away from where I started with Ray, and made a face of sheer pain at where the snakes had snapped at. This was pure madness, a few bodies lined the ground already mercilessly being trampled over.

Savages

I had to stop this but where was the headmasters box? Screw this school, and screw this "power" we were still human despite it! The others circled around me not noticing a cautious head jerking about looking for the- head box! It was in reach, and a shadow lurked behind it most likely laughing at us below. I pulled my bow, releasing an arrow so it hit the glass with a silent shatter.

"Bulls eye," I mutturered as a rope was dangling from where I hit. I climbed it with agility and a set jaw only to find-

An empty box?! The chair held nothing except for what looked like a tiny button, beside it a note and on it scrawled was curvey hand writing.

"Good job, no press the button or let this insanity rage on-" I crumbled the note, ignoring the rest of his flowery words. Test or no test, it wasn't right to wage people against each other like this. I pressed the button and the timer had only six and a half minutes to spare and it stopped and with a large donging it alerted the rest of the players.

I stopped moving for a second as I watched the arrow Abbey shot trail into the box, with the button pressed the timer went off. I laughed. 'Why didn't anyone else think of that?' I thought silently to myself, walking up to her, well at least to a place she could hear me so I didn't have to climb after her. "That was a smart move, awesome too, but it seems you still have a small dilemma!" I called up to her, referring to the snake bite. She flinched only slightly as I brought her attention back to the bite. She laughed weakly bringing her hand to the bite. "Yeah, I guess my next stop is too the nurse."

"That's one option." I told her, catching her curiosity. She climbed down from her previous post with more grace than a cat should have, landing in front of me without a sound. "What do you mean one option?" she asked.

"Well I could heal it for you right now like that." I emphasized this statement with a snap of my fingers. "So you wouldn't have to take the extra time with treatments from the nurse." I added. Abbey searched for a hidden, malicious intent behind my offer.

"Could you really do that?" She wondered, reluctant for the help. I nodded. "I may not be a fighter like you guys, but I have something useful." I smiled sheepishly. "Well then be my guest." I placed my hand to the bite and started to concentrate. It was a mystery how these things worked, and I learned not to question how things like these happened. Soon the venom started to retreat from her muscles and veins, out from the two bites holes. The Venom floated slightly in front of my face before dissipating into water, the dripping onto the floor. I focused on the two holes and soon they started closing up. The process only took a few seconds, and left me thirsty.

"There you go." I told her cheerily. Ready to help others.

Victoria – Serpentarius

I was thrown back with a force that topped any roller coaster, and by the time I had regained the air in my lungs the Aries was pressing the business end of his club hard against my throat so I couldn’t breath.

“Last words?” he said plainly. I struggled to look him in the eye and smirked. Behind him, my naginata had turned into a King Cobra, hissing and striking at the Sagittarius. He looked back for a moment, a worried look coming across his face, but if anything he just tightened his grip. “No?” he continued. “Alright.”

I closed my eyes for the blow and the girl behind my murderer gave out a yelp, falling to the ground with a thud. The Aries turned and the second I was about to kick him hard in a way that brings any man down, a bell rang through the air and floors. I looked at the clock and partly sighed when I saw that it had stopped. Finally.

Ignoring the dying girl who I had bitten, I walked over to where her arrow had stuck my shoelace. I pulled the arrow out and wrapped it around my shoulders, the Indian Bronzeback flicking its tongue in my ear, picking up the shoelace from the ground and slipping it in my pocket. I went back and picked up the cobra.

Paris~

Layla and I manged to fight are way to Ray just as the bell rang. I looked around to see every one stop what they were doing. I let my water flow back into my gourd. and Layla put away her swords.

We ran over to Ray just as Victoria a Serpenatnious walked away with a shoelace. She had left a Sagittarius girl on the floor dying. For a second I thought it was Abbey, but it was a girl I knew from homeroom. A unexpected feeling of relief flooded me. I looked around to see Abbey conversing with a Pisces girl that had healed her snake bites.

Layla helped ray to his feet, and Claudia walked over putting away her dagger. Taelyr and Morgan came up beside us too. Although many people had survived, we were the only team that had survived without any casualties.

As a group we walked over to Abbey.

"I had to stop it, I don't care about what the teachers want. I won't kill for my spot," she said.

"No one blames you," Claudia said.

A voice came over the speaker. "Good job Zodiacs. You have made it passed round one. One amongst you showed brilliance that must be awarded. There was a pause. "Abbey of Sagittarius showed intelligence in the heat of battle that indicates leadership. For that reason she will represent the Sagittarius in the elite group, and with her knowledge we believe it reasonable to allow her to pick the team she wishes to take to the fight."

The speaker died. As it dawned on us, they had intended for us to stop the clock. That had been the real test, and they had allowed us to kill each other to discover this. I felt my rage biol to the surface. I did my my best to pull it back and bit my lip until it bled. It was my most extreme way of calming myself.

"You'll have forty eight hours to make your final decision Abbey," the voice said before cutting off.

Abbey shrugged. "At least I'll get along with my group," she said.

I looked at her amazed at her ability to see the bright side of all situations. Like a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, and this was cloudy day.

My heart fell as I listened to the man over the intercom. "Round one, that means there are more rounds." I grumbled, shaking the thought from my head. I shifted my weight uneasily, smiling slightly at Abbey's optimism. It reminded me of times before I came to this school, times I wish I could return too, and possibly change. Scanning the group I saw the diversity among them, a well organized team no doubt, and strong.

"Umm if anyone needs help with wounds, I could heal them for you." I offered, my voice slightly above a whisper. It was strange for me to actually trust after this battle, friends turning on each other, yet it was easy for me trust this team, most of them anyways. I still wouldn't let my guard down. It was always a strange urge, to help. But it was my nature, and right now many people needed help.

Abbey~~

The hours flew by after that, it was filled with sobbing and fizzy beverages. I hoped no one saw past my cheery facade to the person who was deep in trying to untwist the situation. My mind went over possible candidates for my team, with this whole mind play I needed a smart team not a macho one.

"Have you chosen Ms. Allen?" The secretary at the principals office asked, "Let me call them down."

"Thankyou," I turned my smile back on.

"Will the following signs come down please-" She started, my picks were obvious.

Hey guys, sorry for not being on in so long. Even though it's Winter Break, there's so much to do!! Apparently I just survived the first round or whatever it was.

Claudia (Scorpio)

I was still breathing hard. I remembered taking down a Taurus, but not much else about that battle, besides seeing the victories of the other Zodiac members I'd already met. Sitting back in a comfy sofa, I watched the others around me. Just as I was starting to relax, my cell phone vibrated. Sighing and hoping they were allowed in this room, I checked who it was.

"Uh, hi, Michelle," I started.

"Hey!" She was apparently cheerful to know that I was OK. "Listen, I just got the news. Your foster family's dead."

Dead?! My eyes widened and I almost dropped my cell. I thought, That's impossible!

"Yeah. Dead. There...was a horrible car crash; all three of them died instantly. I was just driving by when it happened."

"How?" I whispered.

She hesitated, probably wondering if I could take it. Then she continued, "The incoming car swerved onto the wrong side of the road, going at probably more than 80 miles an hour. Probably 'cause a police car was chasing the two idiots in that other car."

There was dead silence for a moment.

"OK...well, thanks for calling me, Michelle. I think there's this dojo-place that Zodiacs are allowed to live in, so I should be OK. I...guess I'll see you sometime soon. Bye." I hung up. The feeling of sinking, falling down in a never-ending hole. That's what this feeling is.

I must've let my emotions show for once, because a pretty girl I didn't know yet came up to me. "Hey, are you alright? You looked pretty sad."

"My cousin just called me. And apparently, my family's dead. So..." My voice sounded dead, empty, and hollow. I guess she was concerned for me, because her eyes suddenly lit up.

"Oh, OK! Why don't you live with me? In the Dojo? It'll be fine! And we can be friends!" She was too excited for me to refuse. I sighed and agreed, wondering if this was going to be OK.

She kept talking, unaware that I wasn't really listening. But my ears perked up when I heard her name. "Oh yeah, by the way, I'm Yuri Ayane! But my English name is Alice! And I'm the Virgo!" She winked at me happily and brought me up to her friend, who'd also survived the battle.

After a while of joking around, I was exhausted. Let's see...her friend's name was Julie. But I can't seem to remember her actual, Japanese name....

*guys, it looks like Virgo isn't being taken by anybody, so can I use Yuri to be that sign? Please?*

Apparently there is no Taurus yet! I call that sign. :)

Name: Julie Taylor (Virgo should be Yuri or someone else, and Tohru already mentioned Julie as another sign, so I guess Julie'll be Taurus) but her real, Japanese name is Tsukiko Nanami

Gender: Female

Age: 16

Weapon: ramming horns made of iron, bronze, and gold; they're very strong and durable and have been known to crack more than a few heads as they were passed down in Julie's family

Power: She can intimidate most people just by giving them the 'Death Stare'; if that doesn't work, she'll directly go to Charging Mode and take you down. (Julie's quite skilled in martial arts and wrestling) And if someone miraculously survives that, the Horns of Death are brought out! (Just a funny nickname--they don't have a real name)

Appearance: She's really tall, just under 6 foot. Although she has blonde hair, she gets average grades in school. She's a little skinnier than normal. The most makeup she'll wear is a touch of lip gloss and that's it. Her electric-blue eyes are so intense that, though they aren't searching and she can't automatically tell if you're lying, they'd make any liar instantly admit their sins. Finally, her sign is right smack-dab in the top center of her forehead, just visible behind her bangs.

Personality: Julie's a very tough girl, outgoing, and always ready to defend those that can't stand up for themselves as well as her friends. She's pretty optimistic about life in general, but sometimes, she falls back into depression mode. It doesn't take that long to get her on your side, if you show her some common courtesy and you're not a baddie. For her to get angry, someone either attacks her, or someone seriously bullies/nags her repeatedly until she finally blows. If you attack her, don't be worried--she'll immediately brush it off, even if she loses. (about .00000000000000001% chance of that) But if you seriously bully/nag her, she won't forgive you. Period.

History: Unfortunately, Julie doesn't know a thing about her real mom, just that she was a lot better than her step-mom. Her step-mom left when Julie was 10 because 'Julie's too difficult'. (lamest excuse ever!) Since then, her dad was sorta in a stupor of drunkeness. So she worked hard on her own, without help, until her dad died of cancer. After being taken in by a foster family and discovering her power there after being teased, she got sent to the Zodiac School's Dojo at age 12. (Is that what it is?) That's where she met Yuri, an orphan.

Other: Up for friendship if you're nice enough when she first meets you. And up for love. (She may act tough, but on the inside, she's really nice and gentle.)

Julie (Taurus)

I noticed Claudia seemed depressed as she walked back to the sofa she'd originally been sitting in. Turning to Yuri, I asked, "Hey, what happened?"

She sighed. "Poor girl. The rest of her family all just died. So I invited her to share a room in the Dojo with us!"

I smiled. "Yuri, you're so nice." Then, abruptly growing more serious, I asked, "But is this going to be OK? I mean..."

"Don't worry. Everything will be fine," Yuri reassured me.

"Well, turning on to more important matters...didn't Ms.--um--Allen just start announcing the names of the people she chose to be on her team?"

"True, yes...oh, I really hope you get picked, Tsukiko!"

"You should definitely be chosen too, Yuri. But people these days...you just can't be sure. And when you trust some kinds of people...they let you down." I sighed and thought, I'm being depressing again!

"Well, anyway...um...we should go up to the podium, right? So we can hear the names of who...Ms. Allen chose."

As we passed by, I nudged Claudia. "Hey, sleepyhead. Time to listen to the names of the chosen ones." She immediately opened her eyes, which made me think for a moment she really hadn't been sleeping, but then I noticed her eyes. Yuri and I ended up half-dragging, half-carrying her over to the podium.

Everyone held their breath in anticipation as the announcer said, "Will the following signs come here please--"
