Timothy-Strength, speed, flexibility

"See? That wasn't so hard, was it?"

Timothy laughed at the face the scientist pulled at him. He knew what he needed to know, but where to start? He looked around at the hundreds and hundreds of crates and boxes that surrounded him. If only I could read minds, he thought regretfully.

Well, there was no point in sitting around wishing for the food to fall into his hands, so he jogged over to a box he chose at random and kicked it open with his foot. An explosion of straw came tumbling out, and he wondered if that was the only thing in the box. He plunged his hand into the straw and pulled up a dart much like the ones that--- were still being fired at them! All around, the tiny things were whizzing through the air to stick in crates. Timothy was glad to see that everyone had pretty much figured out how to avoid them, and they were all lucky that the shooters hadn't decided to come in for a closer shot, else they might not stand a chance. Are they afraid of us? he thought as he hurried over to the scientist-prisoner and the scientist-savior, the woman who had helped them all escape. They were conversing heatedly, and from the sounds of it, they didn't exactly like each other. He waited impatiently but politely until they were mostly finished.

"You," he spoke, pointing to the man on the floor. "Call off the shooters."

The man gave him a puzzled look. "And how am I suppos--"

"Are we really gonna play this game again?" Timothy interrupted. "I know you must have one of those talk-box thingys that you people always use, and we've all seen plenty of times what they do, so... "

*eek! That's pretty bad, but you can't blame me; I'm kind of in a hurry. *

Robert, scientist

"You. Call off the shooters."

Robert blinked in bemusement and irritation. He wasn't used to being bossed around, and lying on the ground like a worm wasn't helping him feel any better about the situation. "And how am I suppos-"

"Are we really gonna play this game again? I know you must have one of those talk-box thingys that you people always use, and we've all seen plenty of times what they do, so..."

"Oh yes," the scientist said dryly. "Let me just reach into my pocket and pull it out." He squirmed as he demonstrated that this was impossible. "This may take a while, so get comfortable."

The boy muttered something under his breath and pulled the walkie-talkie out of the scientist's pocket. "Any funny business and I'll kick you in the gut," he growled, holding it next to his face as he hit the button.

A muscle in the scientist's jaw twitched before he began. "Stand down, I repeat, stand down. This is the Head of Research, and I'm telling you to stand down. Leave the building post-haste. There is a... situation."

There. That ought to get even the guards suspicious enough to call in back-up.

Kitty >^.^< meow!

I was about to walk over to the guy (I really needed to learn his name) when darts started whizzing past me. "Again?" I muttered under my breath, ducking behind the crate I was next to. The darts started coming slower, and farther in between, so I ran over to my unnamed friend. "Hey!" I said, tugging on his arm slightly. His somewhat satisfied expression turned into a smile when he looked from the man on the floor to me. "I found this," I said, holding up my unrecognizable plastic package. "What is it?" I didn't know, but he seemed to be in charge of the worm-man, so I figured he might have some experience in thigs non-lab related. He looked at it, then up to my curious face, then back down at it. "Oh, and what's your name?" I asked, remembering my earlier question. "Tim," He said, taking the package from my hand.

Ever- Jumper and mind control

She couldn't believe it. Her past. The one thing that she wished she could have. And this guy knew it. Ever looked around the room Java and Lyanna were over by them selves and there were was a guy shouting about his sister missing.

She walked over to him, "Did you say your sister was missing?"

"Yeah, she's still out there," He said pinting to the doors.

"I can go get her and jump back with no prob-" Ever heard the darts before they started coming, she grabbed the guy's arm and pulled him down to the floor. Sprawling out and trying to keep in contact with the guy. {i]Great another assault.[/i]

Then she heard the head scientist call out for them to cease fire. She sighed in relief. Those tranquilizers were not good for her, she would wind up not being able to jump where she wanted or take over anybody's mind- she'd be useless. Now down to business.

*I hope this is okay, I just wanted to try to get her back into the loop with other people's posts.*

Timothy- Strength, speed, flexibility

"Tim," he said with a smile.

"Tim," Kitty said, as if sounding it out. She smiled back at him. "Can I call you Timmy?"

Timothy shrugged as he tore open the bag that Kitty had given him. "Sure. Whatever you want." He gave her a flirtatious wink, and he could just picture fly-boy over there with the glue on his lips rolling his eyes at his own hypocrisy. Whatever.

Kitty giggled and squeezed his arm in a cheery hug. "Yay! Timmy!" she said.

"Yay..." Timothy felt around in the bag for its goods, and pulled out a silvery package with weird pictures on it that he couldn't decipher. He opened that one as well and ate whatever it was he was holding in a flash. It was certainly nothing like what the scientist-people had given him. It was good!

"Mmm," Timothy exclaimed. He looked at Kitty and said, "Where did you find these?"

She pointed at a broken crate to his left. He ran over to it and rifled through. Kitty followed and sat at his side, humming contentedly.

"Thanks," Timothy said to her when he was finished eating his full, which was quite a lot. She nodded with yet another smile. Timothy stood up, helping Kitty to her feet as well, and looked around for the others. apparently, some of them were missing, or had suddenly had the urge to explore a dark creepy warehouse, because the little circle of empty space between the boxes was looking rather scarce. Timothy shrugged again. Well, there was nothing he could do about it right now, and honestly, he didn't really want to. At least not with Kitty's comforting presence insistent at his side, so strange compared to the company he was used to. He turned to her and asked, "So. What is it exactly that you can do?"

*sorry if this is terrible, but I'm kind of at a loss of what to do next, what with "the team" missing some members*

** I hope it's okay if I give Ali some cool gear she's built to be able to keep up with these kids AND that's it's incredibly badly written. It's just to kick start the story.**

Ali

I smiled down at Robert, grabbing his radio from his back pocket.

"Who can imitate his voice?" I asked.

One child I hadn't been introduced to nodded and reached out to the radio.

"Tell them, false alarm. Back away. No rogue scientists." I said, thoughtfully.

The boy muttered into the radio before handing it back to me. I nodded and grinned at Robert.

"Look who's in charge now." I laughed before turning away.

I shrugged off my lab coat, revealing a black suit with a thick metal belt around my waist. I pulled out a pair of gloves and a grappling hook. I threw it at the ceiling, stabbing it into the air vent.

"Stay here and watch him, I'll be back to get you kids out of her." I smiled.

I pull myself up into the air vent diligently. I crawled through the air vents, trying my best to keep my cool, claustrophobia itching at me. I sighed in relief when I found the vent I'd been looking for. I peered through the grates to see the missing girl tied up in a small room. I strained to reach into my pockets, pulling out two ball gray marble-sized balls. I threw them down, through the grates. When they hit the floor and thick smoke spread through the room. I kicked out the vent and dropped down to the girl. I tentatively tested the weight before pulling myself up back into the vent. Once up, I lay the girl on her back, her eyes wide in fright. I smiled at her before pulling out my pocket knife. She squirmed away from me fearfully. I sighed and yanked at her bondings, slicing them with the knife. Yanking her gag off, she looked at me in surprise.

"Go straight then left and you'll find the others, tell them I have one more thing to do." I whispered as a commotion began below, the smoke still thick.

She nodded and padded down softly in the direction I'd mentioned. I continued down the other way, until I reached the trucker's office. It was here all the trucker came in to check in there delivery. Simply by stamping their card and putting into a folder. I dropped down when the room was empty, and hid behind the desk waiting for the next trucker. I didn't wait long, a wiry young man with a base ball cap strode in. I heard him stamped and head towards the folders. I rolled over the desk and round-housed kicked the man in the back of the head. He fell with a thump.

"Sorry." I murmured as I pulled off his uniform and baseball cap.

I rolled them into a ball and climbed back into the vent. I crawled back quickly, passing the commotion of guards trying to clear out the smoke.

"Good luck with that, I built it to last at least 24 hours." I laughed to myself.

I dropped down in the middle of the children, throwing on the baseball cap.

Timothy- Strength, speed, flexibility

"Ready to go for a ride?" Ali laughed as she dropped from the ceiling directly above them. Several of them jumped, including-- though he was ashamed to admit it-- Timothy. He looked at her in puzzlement at the question.

"What's that mean?" he asked. "Ride where?"

She laughed again. "In a car. You'll see."

"Oh..." Timothy said, not understanding in the least what a "car" might be. "If you say so..."

*Eeksqueek! That's very short. Sorry, but I am just trying to bump us up so that the people who need to post will post and move us along!!*

Kitty *mew!*

I stood by Timmy watching the whole exchange, and walked with him as we followed Ali. Finally we got to a large room full of these big...things. They had wheels, but they looked strange, with big boxes on the back and- I gasped as my vision blurred and went out all together, leaving my numb. By the sound of his breathing, I found Tim and took hold of his hand. Or, at least, I thought I did, considering I heard his heart pick up just a tad and I could hear his shirt move as he adjusted his arm. I was starting to try to hear if the big things were breathing, when an enormously loud noise blasted through my head. I heard myself yip and I tried to cover my head with my practically useless arms. The sound didn't stop, and now my eardrums were most likely bleeding. "Kitty," I heard Timmy breath, and I knew they probably were. I whimpered uselessly, crouching on the ground, trying to away from that horrible noise.

Robert, scientist

"Look who's in charge now."

Robert had never reacted well to being humiliated. Somehow he kept himself from yelling back at her in anger.

Ali left to go rescue the kidnapped child. Robert tried to relax and laid his head on the cool cement floor, wondering when this nightmare would be over.

He jerked when he heard Ali's laughing voice again. "Ready to go for a ride?"

No, but I'm sure that question wasn't directed at me.

"What's that mean? Ride where?" came Tim's voice.

"In a car. You'll see."

"Oh... if you say so..."

Someone (he assumed it was Tim given the proximity of his voice) grabbed the rope around his ankles and began dragging him along the floor towards the place where the trucks were kept. It was all the scientist could do to keep his face from being rubbed raw on the cement. He craned his neck so he could see the others over his shoulder. They were headed for a group of vehicles that were built along the lines of moving vans.

He let out a little cry of surprise and indignation when he was suddenly lifted off the ground and chucked into the back of one of the trucks.

"There's only room for two in the front," came Ali's voice, "and I need to be up there to drive. I think the girl that was kidnapped, Christina, should stay up here with me. If the rest of you could just pile yourselves in the back with my boss..."

Robert looked up as Ever, Seth, Tim, Lyanna, and Java piled into the little space with him. This is going to be a fun ride, he thought sarcastically. One of them pulled the sliding door shut, and it was all plunged into darkness.

*Buggy, I think you forgot Kitty! :P I'll bring her in.*

Timothy- Strength, speed, flexibility

Timothy's feelings changed abruptly from excitement to fear as Kitty crouched down low, her hands over her ears. She was whimpering softly, and her eyes were shut tight. He crouched down next to her and put a comforting arm around her shoulder.

"Kitty, what is it?" he asked. "What's the matter?"

She shook her head and stayed silent.

Timothy stood up and looked around him. The big metal square on smaller circles had started a rumbling sound, and Ali and the others were piling in quickly. The scientist, Timothy could see, lay in the same position that he had left him in when he had dropped him. They were all ready to go.

"Come on, Kitty," he urged her. "Everyone's waiting for us."

She shook her head and pressed her hands harder against her ears. Timothy gave an exasperated sigh, wrapped his arms around her and lifted her off the ground. He hopped through the opening in the side of the box, the car, he remembered now, and sat in the only empty spot available. Which just happened to be between Java and Ever, the two people he had gotten along with the least in the past few hours. Of course, Timothy thought as the heat flooded to his face. I was giving him a hard time about his choice of company, and here I am doing the same exact thing he was, only worse. He's so much older than me! He shifted Kitty around in his arms uncomfortably (and rather awkwardly) as Ali turned around and checked on them. Seeing that they were all settled, she turned back around and pulled a big black lever.

Suddenly, the car lurched forward, and Timothy stifled a shout of surprise. He was too preoccupied with his own reaction to notice everyone else's, but he hoped he wasn't the only one who had made a sound. That would be humiliating.

The car rumbled along loudly, and the motion nearly made Timothy sick. Every turn was a revelation, every bump an experience, and he wasn't quite sure what to make of it yet. After a while, though, the motion stayed the same, and he assumed they were going in a single direction for now. The car's noises softened slightly, and before he knew it, Timothy was drifting off into sleep, his head resting on Kitty's shoulder.

*I hope this was okay, and not too... gushy.*
