What would your characters do?

"Your mom" - Gerhard Palitzsch

Have you ever had a dream that, that, um, that you had, uh, that you had to, you could, you do, you wit, you wa, you could do so, you do you?

"Can't say I dream often," Bryn would say, shrugging.

Your character finds a kitten in a basket floating down the river.

April: Aww! ...But it's going to eat me alive.

Ira: Nonsense. It will be our greatest ally, without a doubt. (He then picks it up, patting the tabby's head as gently as he can. The small cat jumps onto Ira's head)

Rue: It's name will be... Alek. Aeksandr Sardaeine. (She plucks the kitten from Ira and discreetly kisses its nose when no one is looking)

Rex narrows his eyes and raises his hackles in an attempt to assert dominance. The kitten mews.
Rex: I don't like it.

Rue: That's because you have terrible taste.

(The group dissembles into quarreling.)

. . .

What would your character do if they met the villain at the grocery store?

Estella Fay froze, her limbs locking into place. “No, no, no.”

She stumbles backwards, praying that he wouldn’t turn around and spot her.

Your character(s) are transported to the future.

All I see is flames and burning and pain. And the horror. Make it stop!

Your character is forced to move to the remote English countryside. Alone, except for family with no Wifi.

You enter your character's world and kiss them.

(on the cheek)

Kassia leans back in alarm before her author can get close, already reaching for the hilt of her sheathed sword. She shoots the stranger an icy glare. "What are you doing?"

Your character realizes they're lucid dreaming and have the ability to do whatever they want within their dream world. What do they do with it?

"All I want is to fly. Oh, all I want is to cry. Float me down a river. Oh that's my life," sang John nuttily.

Your character ends up in an asylum.

Saturn sat, strait-jacket tight around his chest. He was silent and stone-faced, his blue skin usually pale as he waited. Cyra would come for him, xe always would. He only had to wait.

Your character discovers that their best friend is a werewolf.

He thought it strange to think this big furry werewolf said he was his best friend since he didn't have any friends, only a girlfriend.

Your character finally asks their crush out to the dance.

Neptune fixed their sunhat, chewing on their lip. "Hey! Uh- Zylphia." They tapped their fingers together. "Would you - would you like to go to the dance with me as my romantic partner?"

Your character gets an invitation to the antagonist's wedding.

"Do ghosts even have weddings," he contemplated out loud.

You are forced to go to a ghost's wedding because the ghost wants someone to do a solid for him.

Artemis leaned against the hall in a dusty green suit, nose wrinkled. She loved helping out, but romance was, simply put, not for her. The air was too floral, filled with fancy perfume. Gross. She hated it here.

Your character is visited by the ghost of a loved one.

Just read the prologue of my first novel, literally, that is what happens: Beware of the Light (Prologue)

Huh, that's funny. What's my prompt, though?
