You find yourself in a situation in which you're blackmailed. What do you do?

You are locked in a room in which you see no way to escape. You see three people: a pregnant woman, an old man, or a young boy. A voice (you have no idea where it comes from) tells you you must kill one to escape. What do you do?

If it was my sympathetic self, I would most likely kill myself before I commit murder.
If it was my crazy self, I'd shrug and say the voice is my schizophrenic brother.
If it was my logical self, I'd state that seeing as it is only the four of us in the room, and there are thus no means of killing someone, the task will not be possible. I would also state that by killing the pregnant woman,one would technically be killing more than one person, and that she should be set free.
If it was my imagination, this would not be possible, as my mind would come up with a better hostage situation.

You are stranded on an island about which you know absolutely nothing. While travelling around the beach, you spot a strange looking box. You don't know who put it there, or what is inside. What would you do, and if you opened it what would you find inside?
