***I'll make Lorraine rest for a while, poor thing, she's been hurt awfully  ***
Daniel

Krissy, was hurt again and he injured his sister. he hated her indeed, but that dind't mean he wanted to kill her. all he hoped for now, were two things, her sister to recover and Krissy to be ok.
But as he went to the kitchen to look for a glass og water for Krissy, a falming torch went throuigh his window and fired the kitchen. The house was been set on fire.

"Well, this is fun," I said. Lorraine, laying in a second bed, rolled her eyes, and Grayson sighed.

"We're recovering from terrible injuries. We're not supposed to be having fun," Lorraine pointed out.

"True." I reached for a cup of water sitting on the bedside table, barely feeling dizzy now. My head wasn't throbbing as much now either. The Rogue payed his mages well, and it showed.

"What do you think Kayla's doing right now?" Lorraine asked.

"She's probably worshipping the Rogue again," I said. I imitated Kayla's voice. "'Oh, Rogue, can I get you anything?' 'Anything for you, Rogue.' 'Marry me Rogue! We can live happily ever after on a llama farm and leave this city behind.'"

"A llama farm?" Grayson said, raising his eyebrows.

"Yes," I said. "Llamas."

At that moment, Kayla danced through the door, smelling strongly of smoke. "Guess where I've been!"

Krissy:

I could smell heavy smoke as it crawled up my nostrils. I tried to get up but spikes of pain shot through my body and unconsciousness weighed heavy on me. The smoke got thicker and I managed to raise myself and roll off the bed with a loud thump. The pain of the impact made me scream, but I continued to crawl. I had to get to Maria and Daniel. I crawled on my elbows down the hallway to Maria's room. The poor girl was exhausted, and I owed her my life several times, I had paid her back with the Rogue but I couldn't stand to have her disappear from my life.

"Maria!" I coughed. "Daniel!"

I heard thumping footsteps running up the stairs.

"Krissy! Krissy where are you!" shouted Daniel in a panic voice.

"Here!" I wheezed out.

I could feel strength draining out of me and I was coughing. Daniel rough, but familiar hand came out of the dark smoke and picked me up.

"I'm here Krissy. Cover your mouth with your sleeve. You'll be okay." he wheezed to me.

"But Maria! Where is she!" I coughed out.

"Don't worry about Maria. She's outside with some clothing and food. We're going to head to my little home outside in the forest. No one will find us there and it will pay us time to plan and heal." Daniel held me tightly against his chest as he carried me out of the house.

"I'm so sorry about your home Daniel. So sorry --"

"It's not important, as long as you're okay I'm fine."

I slowly fell asleep in Daniel's arms as he, along with Maria, carried me out of the city.

** I'm going to slow down the storybook a little bit so that the characters have time to heal and that the action won't get too boring from all the fights. We can add another dimension to the story and build characters and character relationships. I'd like the Rogue people to think they're dead because there was no trace of them escaping. I hope that it's okay with everyone. PM me if it isn't**

"It's not important, as long as you're okay, I'm fine." A small smile crept across my face. Daniel carried her out of the burning building. I saw how tightly he was holding Krissy. My smile grew, but only a little. I was good at hiding my emotions. He noticed my smile. "What?" I shook my head and began walking, pulling up my hood as I did so.

We snuck out of the city and headed into the forest. Then Daniel took the lead. We walked for a few minutes, then reached a small clearing. In the middle of the clearing was a small two-room house. I opened the door and Daniel carried Krissy inside. There was a small bed in one corner, and a fireplace in the wall. There were a couple of chairs that looked like they would fall apart at any minute.

Daniel gently laid Krissy down on the bed. There was a look in his eyes that I couldn't place.

Daniel
He looked at Krissy as she slept in the small bed he had prepared for her, and watched how her breathing was too diffcult. He fel tuseless before this situation although he knew that he had done all he could to keep her safe.
Maria looked at him with smiling eyes, the kind fo eyes that had secrets.

"How did you know this house even existed?" Maria asked quietly.

"I used to come here, with Lorraine when my mother still knew I existed" he lowered his gaze and turned to Krissy once again, taking away from her face an intruder lock of hair adn caressing her face in the process.

"So this is yours?" Maria asked.

"My father's"

"Do you love her?" Maria sked making Daniel halt and open his green eyes wide. His white porcelain face, blushed hot red.

"Whom?"

"Lorraine, of course, silly!" Maria said smiling. His expression relaxed, he had never called love the emotion he felt towards his sister but it was definitely not hate. They had a nice childhood until she joined the Rogue and he separated from him. He told that to Maria and got up from his sit to look at the window.

"Do you love her?" Maria sked again. BUt now Daniel was sure of whom he meant, Krissy. How could he respond to that. Was he going to say that he alays had, or that he didn't know what it was? He hesitated and turned back to his chair.

Lorraine
Kayla had a smell of smoke that burned my nostrils. She seemed happy at least, had she kissed the Rogue or had the orgue accepted to marry haer? Since those were the only things that could make her happy.
"I set the house of those little girls on fire" She siad with obvious hate in her voice.

"YOu did what?" I asked her.

"Set them on fire" She asnwered smling gleefully.

"Did you kill them?"

"I guess" I guess!! i shouted in my mind, she should have made sure they were dead and turned to ashes. I knew that there was the great possibiity of them escaping.

The Rogue:

"Well my friends. Kayla I believe has accomplished a great deal last night. The home they were spotted in was burned down too the ground. Only ashes remain, and my gate birds have told me the no one has left the city in two days. I sent my trackers out around the home and just outside the city. No trace whatsoever. I have every right to believe they are dead. Though we must not loosen our guard, we don't know what these girls are capable of. Let alone your brother Lorraine. We know very well what he is capable of."

The Rogue inclined his head to all the people standing before him. He was a little bit disappointed that he didn't get to kill that little girl himself for the dagger that was in his now weakened arm. Or Maria, who had slipped through his claws twice now. He smile at Kayla, who reddened like a fruit.

"Stay on your guards, but you can rest at ease a little bit more." said the Rogue as he dismissed the meeting.

I smiled at Daniel's expression. "Come on Daniel. I've seen how you look at Krissy. Don't think I didn't notice." Daniel's face flushed bright red.

"Well... Erm..."

"You can tell me Daniel."

He opened his mouth to reply, but Krissy began stirring. We both turned to her as she opened her eyes.

Krissy:

I opened my eyes slowly, and smiled weakly at both of them. Daniel scrambled over,

"Are you feeling better?"

"Better than before but not as good as I wan' t' be." I muttered sadly.

I looked at the small shanty. There were pots and pans hanging from the ceiling, a small wood stove and preserved vegetables and fish hanging by the windows. The wooden walls and flooring were old but tough and the ricky stairs swirled upwards. The little bed I was laying on was warm and comfortable.

"This is a lovely place Daniel!" I exclaimed. "How one earth did you fi'd it?"

"Well... um. I came out here a lot with Lorraine when we were younger. Then she forgot about this place but I always come back." He murmured as he busied himself, frantically.

I looked to Maria questioningly. There was an amused smile on your face as she looked back at me.

"What I miss" I mouthed as Daniel continued to run around his back turn.

Maria chuckled and shrugged her shoulders before turning around to tend to the fire. I slowly got up to help, but Daniel pushed me back down gently.

"Oh no you don't. You still need rest." he whispered kindly.

I was about to protest but he silenced me with a smile and a tired expression before turning back to his work. I lay in bed listening to their thumps and breathing. I suddenly felt the urge to sing, I hadn't in so long. I hummed a sweet little tune and murmured the lyrics before slipping back into a deep sleep.

Lorraine.

after all I didn't have to stain my hands with my brother's blodd someone had already done it for me and it felt so good, even though I really wanted to do something good.
Kayla was elated, almost jumping everytime the Rogue reminded her of what a good job she had done.
"Burning a house is not that big of a deal" I said a bit a jealous.

"Burning the house where Krissy was is a big deal" Grayson said.

I scuffed and turned around, my side was not hurting as much as the day before and my arm was close to tbe completely healed. I felt better and wanted to fight, wanted to practice actually. I felt useless laying in a bed.

"This is cruel" I said, through gritted teeth.

"We have to be completely healed so we can make a strong defense." Jas said. She looked better, she suffered from dizziness now, but it was now getting beter.

Daniel
The morning sunrays hit his face and made him wake up. It seemed like a good day, no one was following htem and the house was cozy enough to keep them calm. He woke upr from his bed in the other room and wlaked toward Krissy's room, he wanted to check on her.

He walked closer to her and stared at her lovingly. She looked so peaceful, so tranquil, as if nothing was wrong and she was just a young woman living her life. NO problems, no Rogue, no fights, just nothing. He slowly stretched his hand and caressed her face, her skin was warm compared to his coldness. He just wasn't sure of what he felt or if it even was a good thing to feel.
Buit there was suddenly some movement and he noticed it was Maria. Would she have been staring? he didn't not know nor wanted to know so he quietly exited the room.

Day 5 of my "imprisonment". Staring at the ceiling all day and having random conversations with Lorraine and Grayson is getting old real fast. Yesterday I realized that I barely know these people. We fight together and plot together, but I don't really know them. And now I'm stuck in a room with them until my head heals. Stupid horseshoe. Of all the things

"What are you writing?" Lorraine asked, setting down her hairbrush and pulling up her hair into a short ponytail.

"Love letters," I lied, rustling the pages of my tattered diary.

Grayson looked up from the book in his hands, grinning. "To me?"

"You wish," Lorraine said, throwing one of her pillows at him. "Seriously, what is it, Jas?"

"My journal," I answered. "I'm writing all about my imprisonment in this bed."

"Imprisonment?" Grayson said. "I suppose you could compare it to that."

"Especially since the Rogue threatened to chain Lorraine to her bed yesterday if she tried to leave the room again," I said, laughing.

"I didn't try to leave," Lorraine protested. "I tried to strangle Kayla for bragging about all the adventures she's been having while we're laying in bed. There's a difference."

I laughed and picked up my journal again, running my fingers over the battered leather cover, then suddenly frowned. "Do you think they're really dead? Those girls?"

"The house burned to the ground," Grayson said, raising his eyebrows. "How could they have survived that?" Lorraine nodded.

I leaned back on my pillow, unconvinced, and opened my journal again.

When I opened my eyes Daniel was leaning over Krissy's sleeping form. His hand was caressing her face. I smiled in amusement. I shifted slightly and Daniel straightened and walked out of the house. I got up and followed him. He was just twenty feet away when I closed the door. I hurried after him. "Daniel, I need to talk to you."

He froze and turned. "About what?"

"Krissy. You never answered my question last night Daniel."

His face flushed red and I burst out laughing. He looked at me quizzicaly. "You could fry an egg on your face." I said with another laugh.

I forced myself to be serious. "Do you love her?"

"Why are you asking that?" he asked Maria, trying to control the red on his face. He never looked at himslef when he blushed, but he felt the blood burning in his cheeks.

"Come on! I saw you, you look like a girl, head over heels in love with her." She paused for a bit and let out a mischievous smile "Wait, you don't wear heels right?."

"Maria, don't you have more intersting things to do than annoying me to death?" He really was starting to feel annoyed. He didn't really want to talk about his feelings for Krissy but apparently his actions and expressions were too obvious. He knew Krissy's busy and dangerous life and maybe a relationship was not the right thing right now.

"Tell!" she insisted, "Spit it out"

"Justlet me tell you something, I know girls are supposed to be respected, but I swear that if you don't stop, I'll cut you to pieces" he threatened. He wasn't good at that, he knew, but she was really getting on his nerves.

"You wouldn't, you're too sweet, now spill or I'll go" she said, sstrating to walk towards the house.

He quickly left what he was doing and ran after her, grabbing her by the elbow and pulling him around. He was taught to be respectful towards girls, but she was a special case.

"OK, ok, but you'll have to wait"

Krissy: (Later)

Krissy tossed and turned, her calm expression flickering to different emotions. With a groan she awoke, a headache pounding against her skull. She lift off the covers and tiptoed across the old, creaky floors to have something to sooth her dry, aching throat. As she drank her water, she stares out the cracked window. The beautiful stars peered down at her through the trees.

Creeping back over to her bed, she noticed Daniel's sleeping figure on the bench by her bed. She smiled to herself, he was always so worried.

"You probably haven't slept in a real bed since we got here 'ave you?" she whispered to him.

The bench was close enough to the bed so Krissy picked Daniel, who happened to be much taller than herself, and stumbled over to the bed. Her arms protested under Daniel's weight but she lowered him gently onto the bed. Smiling she covered him with the blanket, and pushed a few locks of his blond hair off his face. Krissy laughed quietly when she saw that half of his feet hung off the bed.

"Ah Daniel. What happen'd to th' days you were small'r than me. They seem like so long ago huh?" she whispered again.

Daniel's face was almost childish when he slept, and with one last smile Krissy turned to lay down on the bench, it was still warm and Krissy fell asleep quickly.

Next day
Daniel
The sky was still dark when he woke up. He looked around and felt something weird, different. He was laying in Krissy's bed while she was sleeping in the bensh where he was.
His green eyes popped open and hurried out of the bed to go to Krissy.
He looked at her for a while, admiring her beauty and strength. She has suffered and he knew it, but still had this strong beautiful cast of a conqueror.

"Krissy, Krissy" he called her, but she didn't answer. "Krissy, love, Krissy"

well it was h9is only chance to call her like that since he dind't have the ebough bravery to tell hre that when she was awake.
But she still didn't answer, so he picked her up and placed her back in the bed. She was so light. She looked peaceful so he left her there. But before he turned away, she heard her speak.

"Why are you leaving?" he heard her murmur.

"You have to sleep Krissy and recover" She was awake now and Daniel got nervous. "Or do you want me to stay?" He asked her, quite apprehensive and unsure, eagerly expecting for her answer.

Lorraine
It had been more than a week now since I was injured. Most of us where better now. Jas was fully recovered, the dizziness only coming sometimes,; Grayson, was almost there and I wasn't as bad as I was. My side was no more aching except for when I moved too much and arm was fully recovered.
The Rogue had told me that I needed to stay home for a while more. I protested as much as I can but he never listened and even threatedned to chain me to my bed. But since I behaved good after that incident I was allowed to practice with my sword at least.
"Much better now" The Rogue once told. "YOu will be back at the scence soon, very soon.

"Have you known of Krissy or Maria or my brother?" I asked. Kayla was sure she had killed them but I had my doubts.

"I trust she did" He said, a little irritated by my tone and question.

I had avoided that question ever since, but that dind't mean I couldn't ask others. I felt something, like a hunch, something told me I needed to see it to believe it.

"Do you think they're really dead" I asked Grayson.

"If the rogue believes it, and don't see any reason for me to doubt" He said.

"I have my doubts. YOU're all understimating those three idiots"

"Maybe" Grayson said, alittle bit of doubt in his voice.
